After some research I am assuming that you are hoping everyone that said it wouldn't open will be happy...but, on the off chance you were specifically talking about someone named Everett, ignore this post.* *I'm just filling in for King Ding Dong until he can get on here and give you a hard time.

Hearing that the construction has started is the best news that I have heard in a long time!

I feel for anyone that hangs out with you...they must be paranoid to even say “good morning” to you without the fear of being corrected with facts! (Just giving you a hard time. )

Buttons were made with both names...personally I like the name “Screamin’ Demon better...and the logo that went along with it.

That seems a bit demanding...was it optional?

I loved The Warped Tour...went to many, many of them! It’s semantics, and maybe slightly sleazy, but I think when they announced that it was the last tour they technically held to their word...Warped still goes on...but it doesn’t TOUR the country liked it used to. I consider it more like a Lollapalooza type event now. Some people may be upset that the last tour wasn’t truly the end of Warped...but how would anyone be upset that a good thing still lived on?

Personally I was worried. I was worried that CF wouldn’t be concerned with keeping the landscaping up...I couldn’t have been more wrong there...I think that department keeps getting better and better year after year. I was worried that CF would abandon any attempt at keeping the park family friendly and turn it into simply a thrill ride park...happily that didn’t happen...it is still family friendly with some new great thrill rides. (I would like to see the park concentrate on a few new flat rides that the whole family can ride together.) I was worried that CF would migrate The Peanuts down to Kings Island and we would have to say goodbye to Scooby-Doo, Spongebob, Patrick and all of the other Nick characters...okay, that obviously happened...but all in all, having The Peanuts here isn’t AS bad as I thought it would be... but I still miss Nick. In the end, I am very happy CF took over...they have gone above and beyond improving the look of the park*! *With the exception of placing flagpoles at the foot of the fountain...and removing the fountain’s pedestals.

I like how you painted the healthcare system...It sounded so quaint, like a mother just waiting to help her boy out! (Oh if could only be like that...instead, it’s more like Mr. Burns is running it.)

I have also heard this comment thrown around at my workplace a few times.but I have never been able to find it backed up on any reputable website...can anyone point me to one? @kimv1972 Thank you So much for sharing your memories with us...I have never read anything like them, you make everything come to life. I would love to have experienced what you did. I was wondering, do you visit the park very often? Do you like what the park has evolved into over the years? What do you miss the most that has been removed? I could probably ask you a million questions! Thank you again for sharing such great memories.

I have been wondering if the main reason that there hasn’t been a KIC event is simply because the site’s importance isn’t what it used to be. “Back in the day” KIC was pretty much the only game in town for the park to promote to it’s dedicated fans...now the park has a (very good) blog on their official site...add to that, their own Facebook, Twitter & Instagram accounts etc...they do not need this site to reach their fan base anymore. I don’t think the park will ever truly like having a fan site exist that they can’t control 100%. (Would any company?) I do not come to this site for any perks, just (hopefully) good conversation between fellow fans.

Near the very top of my "bucket list" in life is to one day be able to walk up (or down) all of the (Kings Island) Eiffel Tower's steps. Every time I go up I subconsciously hope that the elevator breaks down and everyone will have to walk down!

My family and I went hiking in our county park this weekend...about seven miles, between us we only brought home 8 ticks...but it was still worth it to be outside. I thought this tree was interesting...looked like something from The Wizard Of Oz to me.

The miner, near Brewhouse during Halloween Haunt for the last couple of years. The amusing (in my opinion) thing about this photo is that my iPhone wanted me to identify the person in the photo!

This will be the most negative thing that I have ever posted on this board...but here goes...I can't tell you how much it bothers me to see people toss around what they feel is an acceptable fatality rate. These are people's lives we are talking about. Even if the death rate is 1 in 10,000...who wants to pick either themselves or one of their family members to be that 1? Whenever I read that there is an "acceptable death rate" it reminds of wartime when the "powers that be" decide what is an acceptable number of soldiers to sacrifice to accomplish something...all the while they themselves are nice and safe. To anyone who feels that there is an acceptable death rate I say, "Here, you first". (Mods feel free to delete this if you want...it's just something that I have wanted to say for awhile and I finally reached my breaking point.)
