  1. Actually Rozzi's no longer shoots the nightly fireworks at Kings Island, this past summer has all been a new company which is why you may have noticed a change in things over the year.
  2. Those would be characters from Star Trek, back in the early Paramount years they had walk around "face characters" like that who you could interact with.
  3. To get this topic back on track.....The signs seem to point to an "Amazing Race" style activity, maybe this is some type of game the park is starting to offer.
  4. I think you might be able to blame the major storm that came through the area on Monday night for that one.....rumor has it the park took a few direct hits of lightning (not uncommon in that big of storm)
  5. Its really great to hear that so many people are enjoying the shows so far this year!! A few things worth noting: 1) Rock Band Live is a touring show that was not produced by Kings Island, which might explain some of the problems that are going on....it seems that the tour crew is still trying to figure out how to work in that space. 2) The ice at the Kings Island Theatre is not "fake ice"...it is a true ice rink which is resurfaced between each show. I think your friend may have thought that it was a rink made of glice, which is a synthetic/plastic skating surface, but it really is ice up there. Thanks for sharing your report with us....live shows are something that the park has really been working hard on the last few years.
  6. From what I've heard...they were lucky to open the show when they did. They had to start rehearsals off-site due to the construction.
  7. Actually the mini-cooper was out there all last summer too.
  8. You may want to stop by again this year....
  9. ^--- WHAT??? It might help us understand your question better if you didn't write like that. I think you are asking if you will have to wear a bathing suit on Diamondback, and the answer to that question is no. What the rest of your statement says is anyone's guess....
  10. There use to be sections of the track along with the lift tower up on the hill behind SOB, back on the way to the greenhouse. There are quite a few things back there, old tram cars, old HB benches, and way back in the trees a feeding/sleeping house from the safari. I think that the steel from the track may have been taken away to scrap when they took the King Cobra track...but I could be wrong. There were a few of the trains from Ghoster Coaster back behind the auto maintence shop sheds last year.
  11. I was following an update from Screascape regardig Six Flags over Texas and their Holiday event from this year when I came across some interesting pictures. MiG Crew Online Now I was just shocked when I saw the set in the background to their new christmas show. Take a close look at the pictures and you will see what I mean.....that is the set from Santa's Toy Factory!! There have been some minor changes made, but it is clearly the same set. I would be interested to know if this is the one from KI of Carowinds. I thought I heard that IO Productions bought back the set from the show after Kings Island canned Winterfest, but I don't know if they sold it to Six Flags of if they were brought in to do a "new" show for their park.
  12. You are not going to get ahold of anyone right now at the park, as I believe most of the staff...including full timers, are actually on break away from the park now. The park is auditioning instrumentalists during the Entertainment Auditions, I belive this also includes brass instruments. With the success of the Clown Band reunions at the park this year, I would not be too surprised if the park tried to throw something similar together for next season.
  13. And I agree with that....I'm not saying people can't post critcism....but Constructive criticism does a whole lot more than people just bashing and going "that sucked", or "that wasn't scary". There is a difference between Bashing/whining and being constructive...thats what I'm trying to get at.
  14. But see thats the thing....it's all based on personal opinion, and unfortunatly there are some people on here who think there opinion is worth everything in the world and go around basing everything. You don't like how people were bashing Cemetery last year because in their opinion it wasn't good....but then you turn around and do the exact same thing to Club Blood....wow, hypicritical much? I know that I stick up for the Haunt Attractions a lot, and of course those that know me know why.....but honestly it is because I believe in the fact that each attraction is good for someone, somebody likes it, somebody will get scared or jump. MAYBE that someone isn't you...but sit and watch the people coming out of the attraction, there will be groups with people coming out that are having a good time, people running out the exit and running into the wood fence in front of them, or running halfway down the street screaming. It happens....again, maybe not to you, but does that mean it is an awful attraction that "sucks" and isn't worth the time?? NO...it just may not be worth you're time...and my guess is the people who are in line will be happy that your not, but why ruin it for those people who do enjoy it by bashing it?
  15. Shows at Haunts are not meant to be "scary" Look at similar shows at other parks, they don't go for the scare-factor when it comes to live shows. Bill & Ted at Universal focuses on humor and sexiness in dancing at the end. The Hanging at Knott's focuses on humor mostly. Many other parks have magic shows, or story readings. Uggh....again, when it comes to Halloween event's like The Haunt, or Halloween Horror Nights, or just your neighbor hood haunted houses...it's not meant to be a "family park" during those hours.
  16. So then I guess you would like to stay away from all the other parks that use the same sort of environments this time of year?? All of the other parks that added Club Blood this year....hmmm, must have been pretty da*n good to have been farmed out to at least 4 parks including the "all-mighty" Knott's. And of course stay away from all of the "family" parks that also added Dead Awakening this year. Oh, and don't forget to stay away from Universal, who has in the past had some very skimpy clad women gyrating on the streets of their haunt. And who sells alcohol right on the streets in blood bags, and who in the past has had girls walking around with shot tubes. And definatly make sure you stay away from other Haunted Houses who show any sort of graphic scenes...escpecially the Haunted Hoochie, wear they have a live shot gun suicide scene, or Knott's where they hang people. I don't understand why people don't get the simple fact that when it comes to a Haunt event, no matter where it is....it's NOT MEANT to be for the family. Why make a comment about it being a When they are obviously not meaning for it to be one after dark on these nights? So it's not your thing? Big deal....why bash it? There are plenty of people who actually really enjoy it....I know, I hear the comments all the time from them. Maybe I don't like Delerium, or some other ride.....but am I going to bash the park, or that particular ride just because it's not my taste? NO...I'm going to let the people who enjoy it, enjoy it...while I spent my time doing something I enjoy.
  17. ^^^As Gator said, there is no possible way you went through Club Blood with the all the lights on. The only lights that have ever been on during operation are the show lights. Groups are not allowed into the attraction until all the regular lights are off and the manager opens the door (which they wont due if the regular lights are on). Sorry to hear you didn't enjoy Club Blood....but to each is his own, there were a whole lot of people who did enjoy it. Including many people who I saw running out of the exit door on Saturday.
  18. I sent you a PM with information. The above post is not accurate, no one in Entertainment makes that high of a salary for Haunt
  19. Kevin was "The" hand in this show. He came up with the complete concept and song choices (along with a little help from some other managers). But this is another show that was completely designed by Kings Island Entertainment....adding it to the growing list of the last few years: -Gouls Gone Wild -Dead Awakening -Flashback! Totally 80's -The County Line -Girls Night Out -Hot Island Rhythms -Star Search Live!
  20. And this is reason #1 that I still say the park needs to charge a seperate admission....most of those type of people are season pass holder who come night after night just to try to be the "cool guys" Many of which would not spend $30 a night to come to the park.
  21. They are doing a restructure in hopes of reopening next season......not all hope is gone..yet
  22. Actually I disagree.....having returns come in for an "audition" gives the park casting team a chance to talk to them about their experiences from the last year and gives the returning scare team member a chance to talk about what they would like to do for the year, and in some cases even request to be cast in a specific attraction. I think it is not insulting at all.
  23. In recent History....Wild West World didn't even last a year.
  24. Are you seriously complaining about these additions?? Man, you guys are spoiled. There were so many years of FearFest where they basically didn't add anything except a few new names....at least they are adding new stuff this year. Urgent Scare is huge...it's going to take up a good chunk of Action FX Theatre and is the largest addition to Haunt ever...that is awesome!!! Have you every thought to stop and think that maybe adding a smaller number of attractions means that more attention will go into those attractions....it's not always the quanity, but the quality that is important. Also, Cornstalker will basically be a "new" scarezone this year, seeing as it is going to be in a new location thanks to Diamondbacks construction.
