No, she is not in Monster Bash or the Magic show. But there is another girl who is. These shows are not done by the same company that did the show for P&G. That was the same company that PKI has been using for the last few years. This is a new company that is at the park for the first time.

The Monster Bash show will is scheduled to open this Friday Oct. 6th. FYI.....this show is not being produced by the park nor the entertainment department. Both shows that are in Paramount Theatre this month are contracted shows being done by an outside vendor. I would not expect the same quality that you would see from a summer PKI show, in fact if you do expect that you will probably be somewhat dissapointed.

It was stated many times last year that one of the reasons for changing the way the line ran was due to the high number of guest complaints and issues that happened in the line during the previous 3 years. A lot of bad things happen when drunk FearFest guests are waiting in a 2 (sometimes +) hour line. The park thought it was in the best interest to aleviate some of these problems by cutting down the wait time. Even though the Entertainment department fought long and hard trying to explain why this was such a bad idea from the start.

The photo op location in the Rock shop will be open throughout the night during FearFest operation. There will be a rotation of Scaractors from the different attractions throughout the night, so depending what time you go it will be different monster.

I'm kind of surprised that no one has said anything about the colored tower lights. Starting last weekend the park began to use the colored lights on operating nights. They basically scroll through all the different colors and word has it this is going to be a permanent thing during operations.

Scarowinds is a separate ticketed event and is not combined with Paramount’s Carowinds regular Park operation admission during the day. Does anyone else find that interesting??? Why cant PKI go back to this

I bet he talks about that Reality TV show idea that MTV is tossing around at Schlitterbahn.......the one that he took right from PKI, but Im sure he wont mention that part

Actually....the changes to Wings have already taken place. Last weekend Wings opened up as a new "All You Can Eat" Buffet. The have all different kind of food. The Montgomery Inn food is now moved over to Bubba's

Actually it was tried in the first couple of years of FearFest. They tried a scarezone in there and a scare zone down the brick wall area leading from Vortex down to The Beast. The Paramount Story one did not work too well.

Yeah....those guys who were getting into the FearFest costumes and makeup were also for the commercial shoot...just not the part you guys did. They were part of a later shoot, they just had to be there that early because thats how long it taked them to get into all that makeup and latex appliances.

Actually that show that was rehearsing the other niht was not monster bash. Yes, Monster Bash is going to be a live show, but the one you guys saw rehearsing is actual a special new show that is going to be in PT for the sell-out weekends for P&G and Toyota.

Dont take everything on that website as the gospel truth, there are a few mistakes which mainly stem from old information. As has been stated here before The Asylum will NOT be under the tower. Yes, that was the original plan for this year, but it was cut after Cedar Fair did the mass lay-offs earlier last month which took some key players out of the FearFest design game. (and, btw, it was NEVER planned for the 50' level) Holiday Horror is final. Im not going to give out all the information surrounding it, but it is going to be the other FearZone. I would not go as far as saying that the 3 scarezones mean re-themeing of entire areas of the park, but as we have seen in the past (Cornstalkers, and the scarezones the first/second year) They are transforming part of the midway paths. As I said before, this year there is going to be a lot more going on, including the new shows and entertainment offerings, plus a bunch of stuff on International Street as the "arrival experience." Plus on the other side of FearFEST, the family stuff during the day.....there is going to be a lot more added for that event as well. More interaction, more entertainment, including new shows.

If only they could have done the original plan of removing part of the floor and making the guests walk over a plexi-glass floor. That would have been really scary!

Actually "The Wasteland" fear zone is not happening. That scare zone is being replaced by a scarezone called "Holiday Horror" They may be making that switch to the website, that would be my guess as to why the site might be down again.

I personally am not going to divulge the plans for this year. Somethings that were originally scheduled (that Jeff was hinting at) are not happening anymore. BUT.....Yes, there is going to be more stuff going on, and most of the new stuff is going to be in the way of Atmospheric stuff to improve the overall environment of FearFest. Everything from the entry way into the park to your trip throughout the midways, new interactions, scares, and entertainment are going to be all over. As for the people who say that they wish FearFest was more for the family......well, it is, during the day. From 11am to 7pm every operating day (including Sunday which has no haunts) There are family activities all over. This year there will be even more including live entertainment and other fun stuff for you and your family to do. The majority of the day during FearFest is actually geared toward family if you really sit down and think about it. So....enjoy your morning and afternoon with the family stuff and leave the haunts for the people who enjoy them at night. But please dont expect or ask the park to remove them....we dont ask for the family stuff to be removed just because we dont enjoy it.

I've been wanting to say this for a while, but i've sat back and held my tounge. Cedar Fair really has nothing to do with this year's Fear Fest, they are not doing anything that wasnt already in the works for this year. They are not bringing in any different people to build or design the attractions, it is all the same people who hve been doing it at PKI for the last couple of years. These people have been working hard to improve FF and if it is better this year it is really because of them, not Cedar Fair.

So....if this is true it would work out better if there was a way to get out to Valleyfare and purchase the Maxx pass, as it would be cheaper than buying here at KI. Sounds kind of like the old days when we would drive to Kentuky Kingdom to get our Six Flags passes since they were one of the cheapest places to get them.

If you find that info surprising about Craig Ross then you must not have known that up until this year's CF takeover Craig was the General Manager of PKI

Ummm....actually let me clear something up here. And trust me.....anyone on this board that knows me, knows that when it comes to entertainment I know what I am talking about 1) The cast of School of Rock was never told any of that information. They were told that they were the last cast of School of Rock, yes. But that is a given, That show was a 2 year show, everyone knew that it would not be returning next year. 2) Plans for the Nick Parade have NOT been finalized either way yet. Cedar Fair does not know if they would like to return the parade for the 4th year yet. They have not said that it will not be returning, and they have not said that it will be. So we are still waiting for the decision to be made on that. 3) As far as the ice show goes......that is purely speculation at this point. It does seem logical that Cedar Fair would incorporate their Ice Show into the Paramount Theater (or whatever it will be called). And there has been some activity around the theater that could show signs of them looking into the possiblity/fesability. But again, nothing official has come down from Cedar Fair regarding that. Plus....if they are seriously thinking about doing a show like that, then they have some major work ahead of them.....there are a lot of things about that theater that need to be changed in order to allow for that type of show to happen, they better get their checkbook out $$$$$

I hate to say it but I have a feeling some of the ideas and plans for this years FearFest may be changing right now. With the recent layoffs by Cedar Fair they took the major player out of the FearFest game. Maze of Madness was originally suppose to be moved to the tower and expanded into a much larger and better attraction, but now I have heard that the plans for that had to be scrapped in the wake of recent action at the park. And Pssss....that white tent that is housing all the CornStalker pieces is also holding a lot of other set pieces and decorations, sorry to burst your bubble but that is simply a staging area for the decor crew

So where was everybody placed??

just keep an eye out for a lot of cool different stuff
