in pretty much every scenario, season passes are a better value for the 2008 season than for the 2007 season...

well, there are times when top gun's line is longer than SoB's.......that say something to me right there......the only line for SoB is in the first couple of seats....everytime i've went to the park, even on the weekends, SoB has been about a 5-10 minutes wait.... chris

so you think there will be some type of public outcry? as in, attendance at other parks declining further?....i'm not so sure how big of an effect it will have....although with the park being there for over 100 years, that does say something to that community....but if you say the names "Cedar Point", "Kings Island", and "Geauga Lake"...a common person off the street would immediately recognize CP and KI...but not GL... BUT..CF does need to sharpen up...b/c something in their business model does not seem to be working....hopefully, this is just a rough transitional period....otherwise, the bottom is slowly creeping nearer.....especially with this year's (and the past couple of years, actually) declining and/or flat attendance....i'm not saying i have the answers...but CF doesn't seem to have them either...

oops...i missed it (buried in 5pgs of material).... i thought it would be more appropriate here, because it deals more with CF than specifically GL (although i know that's the topic).....the writer is asking if this move hurts CF's reputation...which could hurt CP, KI, etc..... chris

i called Kings Island....and although it says this on CP's website...the person in guest relations said they will not process any other park's pass......and on the platinum pass i got (from KI), it says it can only be processed at KI........

mine would have to be phantom theatre because i remember riding it when i was a kid...i remember being scared the first time too!...lol.... i can't believe they got rid of that attraction...i rode the scooby doo themed ghost hunt they replaced it with for the first time a few months ago..it was so depressing seeing it totally replaced...

i wouldn't be too worried....Cedar Fair, LP is a business and businesses want to make $$...they are not too far off from last year's numbers, and considering they more than doubled their company with the purchase of Paramount Parks', they probably aren't doing a horrible job... we can comment day in and day out what we think the best way to run a park is...but to be honest, most of us don't have a clue...as Kinzel said, this is a "transition"...give it time....in five years if the numbers are not up, then you may have a reason to complain....

girlfriend and i have maxx passes...went to geauga lake 1 time, Cedar Point 4 times, Kings Island 5 times (so far)....we're planning one more visit to each...

if you purchase your platinum pass at KI, you receive the KI gold pass perks... if you purchase your platinum pass at CP, you receive the CP gold pass perks (point perks)....this will NOT include the KI gold pass perks...

very true....although Firehawk was a much longer wait than 30 minutes, at least whenever i was around:P....but everything else was station waits...including SOB, which i rode three times ...sunday being my first time being able to ride.... first ride...in the front seat...smooth, nice ride....i like it.. second ride...middle of the car....OUCH! i can understand why a lot of people hate this ride....the differences between those seats is amazing... chris

when i was there on the 4th for the event w/ my g/f, she informed me as i sat down (after placing items in the bins) that they said to secure them at our feet.....lol..i'm sorry but give me and the other riders an extra 30 secs so our bag doesn't go flying out and whack someone in the head...geez...

hmmm...can't find anything on google...except for last year ...10/7/06...can't find it on her site either...

what an awesome event...unfortunately, shatzer's hip was acting up so we weren't able to do everything......but the few people we met were awesome.....the FOF tour was amazing!!!! and Firehawk was a great way to start the day off....thanks to everyone who put this thing together!!!!!!! chris
