  1. i'm not saying that you're purposely misleading or lying, but just because you don't remember an article from over 25 years ago doesn't mean that it didn't happen.......
  2. Yes, your platinum pass will get you the benefits from every CF park...at least that's the story this week :/
  3. was the KD's theater sign newer or just kept in better shape?
  4. i thought this was kinda strange...take a look at Kings Dominion Theater's new sign... It kept a lot of the same theme of the Paramount sign...while King's Island is gone...
  5. I have been to CP during the week, early in the season, late in the season, and even on a holiday. And, the only day that I have been and it was slow was last August when it dropped to around 40 degrees and was pouring down rain most of the day. I'm glad it wasn't only me then...i think i may have been there that day in August...I know it was during the summer....and it rained pretty much from open till afternoon...i sat in my car with my girlfriend as we watched a whole bunch of people leave (i kept pulling my car closer and closer to the front gates)...that was the slowest i had ever seen it...but every other day i visited was crowded....where when i think of KI i can only think of 1-2 visits last year that were as busy as CP....
  6. to be honest, i visited CP 5-6 times last year, and each time the Gemini was racing two trains....unfortunately, i have not been to CP on a slow day (is it ever slow like KI can be or am I just unlucky on picking the day?), so that may have something to do with it....
  7. It certainly looks cheap, at least compared to the previous sign...i don't think the sign is horrible by any means, but its a huge contrast from the previous sign that made the theatre look majestic...
  8. I was one of many not thrilled with the names....but now seeing the names with the look of the logos, not bad at all ....
  9. I second that. While Geauga Lake has never been my "Favorite" park, living in Columbus I visited it once or twice a year. I'm not driving 2 1/2 hours+ to a water park....
  10. I think it was Ryan who posted some photos of Racer where it was retracked....You'll find it in the off season photo album http://www.KICentral.com/photos/thumbnails.php?album=214 EDITED TO ADD LINK
  11. that's in theory...from experiences i've had with guest relations at KI and CP, one person will tell you one thing while another tells you something else...i'm not very confident in CF's communication one bit - all bets are off !
  12. that's an interesting move...CF now needs in-house legal advice...hmmmm...maybe i'm reading too much into this
  13. sometimes people have a right to complain though...sure you can say "They don't ahve to go to KI" but I hope CF doesn't take that stance since I'm assuming they're in the business of making money.....for instance, closing down rides when it starts sprinkling = unnecessary in most cases, yet they do it anyways.....
  14. the main point was that Cedar Point often has larger crowds...or so it seems....for instance, at KI the only rides i had to wait in line for was The Beast (15- minutes), Son of Beast (10-15minutes), Delirium (30 minutes), Firehawk (1-2 hours)....and these are wait times for my favorite seats.....Cedar Point, on the other hand, usually has lines that over 1-4 hours long for SEVERAL rides....maverick, TTD, raptor, millenium force.....(off the top of my head)
  15. i miss kenton's cove...maybe i'm remembering wrong...but as far as i remember, i liked it better than the "wild thornberry's" one.....
  16. i can't wait to see it....i'm not really much for water parks, but the zoo is really great...yeah, i guess its open now but i can't really seem to enjoy it when its 20 degrees outside...
  17. Zappa actually fired many of his live bands b/c he found out they were doing drugs....he wasn't all that into it....but he was into being innovative...and a great musician...
  18. well since i use my car for transportation rather than racing, i think i've got the upper hand....
  19. i have a 2001 Toyota Corolla....i get about 38 MPG on the highway, 30-32 city....great mileage...i can't imagine how much i'd be spending if i had a gas guzzler...i spend about $100-$130/month on gas....
  20. They got very strict, specifically after the Magnum "accident" earlier in the season...i wish they would ease it up a bit...last season there were times when it sprinkled on and off...and would close every ride because of it...and one that i specifically remember...after shutting down all rides about 4 or 5 times in a three hour period due to sprinkles, it started POURING and they let all rides continue to operate....
