Whats happening to EVERY ride at GL?
cholderfield replied to FOFirehawkFAN's topic in Other Amusement Parks & Industry News
IMO Invertigo provides a much better ride than Head Spin.... -
When is difficult to pinpoint...but to say that the roller coaster community has moved on is ridiculous....a lot of parks are still building wooden roller coasters...

The Beast!!! a roller coaster i could ride over and over...and over...again and not get tired of it!!!!

No, but I would go to MA anytime with Shivering Timbers! Yes, someone has been to Michigan's Adventure. Many, many someones. I hope you enjoy Shivering Timbers. The best ride in that park, for my money, is the Arrow Mouse. I believe it is called Mad Mouse. Definitely one of the best mice in the country, though Idlewild has a much better Vekoma (yes, Vekoma) Mouse. And once upon a time, the Wolverine Wildcat was one fantastic wooden roller coaster...but that was a very long time ago. Ok, great...The main reason I asked is because it just doesn't seem to be the same type of park as KI, KD or CP...not that there's anything wrong with that...Yeah, I've seen pictures of their Mad Mouse and it looks fun!

i've never been bored at Kings Island...on slow days, its nice to ride a coaster and go sit down, or watch a show, then go back to rides.... like someone above stated, i live between KI and CP (Columbus, OH), so i go to both of those parks equally...this will be my second year with a CF season pass...i may try to venture to some of the other CF parks this year....Kings Dominion is a definite, especially now that they have Dominator, my favorite coaster from GL (which I probably won't be visiting because I'm not much for water parks). Dorney Park and Carowinds also look promising....Has anyone ever been to Michigan's Adventure or Worlds of Fun, and if so how are they?

Will Disney Keep Us Amused?

or even better...if you use this link you do not have to register... http://www.nytimes.com/2008/02/10/business...nyt&emc=rss -
Great points on everything up to this point. Cartoon Network very rarely ever shows any classic cartoons, at least whenever I turn it on...they're usually showing Dragonball Z, family guy, american dad, etc.....i just checked the listing for the next 48+ hours and counted FIVE episodes of older cartoons....a couple of Tom and Jerry and one Bugs Bunny....(I should also note that these are not Hannah Barbera characters) I unfortunately don't have "Boomerang"...Do they strictly show classic cartoons?

Secret in store for GL?
cholderfield replied to FOFirehawkFAN's topic in Other Amusement Parks & Industry News
i agree completely...it would be a great move on CF's behalf and may even make some critics who are upset about GL calm down a bit...but it looks VERY unlikely to happen... -
Secret in store for GL?
cholderfield replied to FOFirehawkFAN's topic in Other Amusement Parks & Industry News
I may be wrong, but didn't they have the Big Dipper up for sale? -
this reminds me of something that happened earlier this season..not to myself, but a friend who told me about it later...he was using his trusty GPS...it took him off the Kings Mason Rd exit (i think that's what it is) off of I-71...long story short..it guided him through the KI back roads...after a minute or two he realized what happened but decided to keep going out of curiosity....it took him to the parking lot, but it was a side entrance that had a gate that was unlocked!!!

FACE/OFF = Invertigo was it really necessary to update a post made about three weeks ago in a thread that isn't even directly related?...

"Confirmed" Information vs. Speculation
cholderfield replied to BoddaH1994's topic in KICentral Footnotes & Small News

"Confirmed" Information vs. Speculation
cholderfield replied to BoddaH1994's topic in KICentral Footnotes & Small News
Exactly! It may seem trivial, but it makes a world of difference in credibility. yeah i definitely understand, especially from CF's point of view and a media POV.... -
"Confirmed" Information vs. Speculation
cholderfield replied to BoddaH1994's topic in KICentral Footnotes & Small News
so basically, unless you can put "confirmed by [insert park employee's name here", you should say "i heard this rumor the other day ______".......... -
i remember the phantom theatre when i was younger.....my family stopped going to Kings Island for a couple years, and when i returned it was gone .....it was a lot better than the scooby doo haunted castle....

Save the Date: Kings Island's 2008 Opening Day!
cholderfield replied to BoddaH1994's topic in Kings Island Central Newsroom
this may be a dumb question, but how busy is the park on opening day? I know it isn't generally busy april into may, but i didn't know if opening day was an exception? -
it's free - you can't really complain much about it...what did you expect -a high quality jacket for nothing?
