  1. Something else. That fog kills the grass. Can't imagine what it does to the idiots who go up to it, inhale it, then blow it out. Glycerin and distilled, demineralized water are the main ingredients for Fog Juice. The fact that it's atomized can cause breathing issues if there is long exposure, otherwise it is safe. Overexposure for long periods can cause headaches, sort of like smoke inhalation issues. An appropriate amount of oxygen is always necessary and it should be thoroughly mixed well with oxygen in the environment where it is used.
  2. Me too. How about we give Carowinds the Back Lot Stunt coaster in exchange for the Flying Eagles...then we'd have free land for Les Taxis and the Ohio Overland Livery (the Antique Cars, for those not familiar with the real names) to return...along with all of the beautiful landscaping that was decimated by Paramount. I actually enjoy BL:SC! (: You could always enjoy it at Carowinds....(just joking...lol)

  4. That was my initial thought, but they are making a push to say how great of a night ride Banshee will be, so maybe the lighting effects will improve the ride experience as well. Hmmm...you have a point there. I'm just not sure how much special lighting a person can see at nearly 70 miles per hour...LOL...If they can pull it off great!!!
  5. You wouldn't be able to see any lightning over in that circle while riding the ride unless you looked to the side and twisted your neck or if your in the front and only for a split second. Textured lightning and all lights will be somewhere within the confines of the actual ride where they enhance the ride experience. I don't think the textured lighting and lighting effects are for those riding the ride, but to entertain folks waiting to ride the ride, and for those lingering in the plaza....neat pre and post ride activity! edit....wouldn't it be cool if Action Zone got an immersive show like this on all of the structures in Action Zone similar to this at Canada's Wonderland?
  6. Peppers ghost. http://www.instructables.com/id/The-Peppers-Ghost-Illusion/ It's not the exact procedure used.... the glass wasn't at 45 degrees, but perpendicular. The "ghosts" were above you with ambient light that reflected on them casting a reflection from a large pane of glass in front of you. This gave the impression of the ghost performers were in the Phantom Theater. The process is still in use in Disney's Haunted Mansion in the ballroom sequence.
  7. Wow! Great pictures! Brings back a lot of memories.
  8. I'm guessing that the lockers might appear to the left of the Ice Scream Zone building, just to the right of the dive loop. I wonder if the Circle will contain a nightly light show with "textured" or projected lighting.
  9. Maybe something like this will be projected on the station and elsewhere within the zone.
  10. For those who are interested, here are examples of textured lighting.... http://www.superlativeevents.com/event_lighting/texture_lighting.php
  11. There is something wrapped in white plastic by Stunt Crew/ Chicken Shack and also next to Ice Scream by and under the first dive loop as well.
  12. Interesting....thanks for the explanation! Do you know why they removed the sign before the park went up for sale?
  13. My thought....one haunt per theme area (possibly two in Coney Maul), longer attractions, themed to the max....less burlesque more terror.
  14. I thought Paramount trademarked the name Action Zone. Seems like, if I remember correctly, the Action Zone sign had the trademark symbol in the lower right and was taken down prior to the park being set up for sale. Does Paramount still own the rights to the name?
  15. I'd love to see more trees....throughout the park!
  16. It appears that concrete has been poured in Oktoberfest.
  17. Maxwell the Geico pig is beat boxing again......"Boots and pants and boots and pants and boots and pants and boots and pants and boots and pants and Boots and pants and boots and pants and boots and pants and boots and pants and boots and pants and boots and pants and boots."

  18. I think Action Zone would be perfect for this type of attraction too. They could fit a soundstage sized building right where Timberwolf Amphitheater is located. Maybe a haunted Irish castle. Maybe Leap Castle (although the Chillingham Castle of Northumberland, England has a better ring to it...)
  19. Bumping this forwards....I loved the Phantom Theater...in fact it was what got me to buy my first seasons pass to Kings Island. I would LOVE to see either a reboot of the ride in Coney Mall or a rebirth of the Haunted House from Coney Island, Cincinnati. I would use the space occupied by the old Flight Commander area plus the Skeeball building area for the attraction.
  20. Or...how about combining Club Blood with Slaughterhouse....call it Club Slaughter...come for the club...stay for the slaughter.
  21. How about moving Slaughterhouse into Club Blood?
