That all sounds nice, but would a Giant Wheel be able to fit in Octoberfest? It could go in front of the Festhouse and slightly north, with part of it extended over the pond a little.
-
For 2015...I predict a revamping of Octoberfest with a Gemini Midway type makeover with a couple of new rides. Pehaps a Giant Wheel and a reboot of the Bayern Curve on one side of the pond and a Tilt-A-Wirl by the Bier Garten on the other side. Plus, also perhaps atmosphere lighting with may pole flags, or banners.

Dollar.for.dollar, I prefer Graeters, in the park...Stone Cold Creamary outside... but Dairy Queen on a budget day and UDF all of the other days.

Funny thing is, Disney has always been an innovator of technology that eventually finds it's way into every day life. It's a testing ground in a way. Ready to wear you "everything wristband" everywhere you go in real life and not just in Fantasyland? -

The purpose of the Fastpass was never to speed up lines. Because guests were spending their time in line, they were not buying merchandise or food. The concept was supposed to free up your time to shop or eat. Most people saw it as a chance to get in more rides for their dollar...hence it has evolved...and will continue to evolve until Disney gets the top dollar they can get, otherwise why spend billions of dollars implementing this program. It certainly is not to enhance your ride experience. Again you can put your debit card information on your wristband...this has nothing to do with anything but convenience of sales. There is a video somewhere with an Imagineer explaining the Fastpass at its conception. When I find it I will post it. It mentions the spending time in line and not buying anything. -

The issue is not to give the customer a good ride experience, it is to TRACK TRACK TRACK your every move, thereby uping potential sales. By this I mean, Joe and his family stop to look at Mickey stuffed animals on Main Street USA (tracked location)...then later on they stop one more time to view Mickey stuffed animals in Fantasyland....later on a phone app (future technology..or current...hard to tell these days) Notifies Joe...."500 feet to your right at the Merchant of Venus, we have a wonderful collection of Mickey Stuffed animals for your family to view! Have a wonderful day!" Now apply this to any condition or sale - Food, show, attraction or toilet for that matter. -
How about "Dog Fahrt" at Bon Bon Land in Denmark....LMAO http://farts.typepad.com/farts/2006/10/dog_fart_roller.html

Everything in the area kind of has a "fear of" something name except for Congo Falls. Maybe just call it The Falls. (But I really would like the name to be changed to Lost River.) I don't think there will be a revamping, per-say, for Action Zone this year, except for maybe an area name change, just a cleaning/touch up for the new attraction...but next year and onward? Who knows what we can expect...(the Shadow Knows...)

Why not use the playlist that was used for the Banshee announcement night. 1. Scream and Shout. 2. This Girl is On Fire. 3. Like We're Gonna Die Young. I can't remember the others. What other songs were used?
-
^^I like the idea of combining the two areas. It would be interesting to kind of make the entire area a miniature "international" area...maybe even an offshoot of International Street, including Octoberfest.

Just looking at the webcam this morning. I noticed earlier last week that the platform and fencing for the old RC Boat game on the pond are gone, but with the snow coverage, I've observed a few other things. 1. There is a backhoe parked near the seating area near Fest House (bottom left corner of the webcam screen). 2. There is a dump truck parked in the concession space across from the Guess Your Weight game, with it's back to the pond. 3. Part of the fence at the north end of the pond is now gone. 4, It looks to me as if a portion of the fence behind the Slingshot has been removed. (could be optical illusion...not certain). It would be nice if the fence was removed so that you can view the complete drop of the Banshee, of course there would need to be protective fencing of some kind around the bottom. Do any of you see any additional activity in Octoberfest? edit: Number four is an optical illusion. (but it would be cool to see the entire drop.

Cliffy and CJ were like storks delivering our wittle bebe...or maybe they were more like midwives.

Bye Cliffy, come back again soon, ya hear?

Can't wait to see the time-lapse video. Hopefully that will be online somewhere soon.

This one? Edit: The announcers clearly says "3 tunnels". I remember it being announced as having 4 tunnels, and that was before the second and third tunnel were enclosed. The entire helix was also supposed to be covered with a tunnel.

I don't believe it was painted concrete, I believe it was stained, or colored concrete that was poured.

Thank you! I didn't see them in the KI website version. I figured it would be an elevator or maybe one of those elevator trays that rise up a staircase.
-
I've been looking at the station renderings, but I cannot tell where the ADA ramp or elevator might end up being located. I'm certain there will be one or the other somewhere in the structure. Anyone have any ideas?
