  1. my post, and i'm guessing beast1979's, was meant to be a joke, nothing more, no one said they were actually going to send that information to him.
  2. ^^to give the feeling of "flooring it" to make your car go "airborne" and splash into an aqueduct. whether you believe it or not, there are lim's lining the exit of the billboard, why would they spend that much money on placing them there, then never use them? edit: goodyellowkorn beat me.
  3. a trim would grab at the brake fins on the bottom of the trains, not the launch fins.
  4. you do that today and then in three days i'll email him and say Son of Beast was testing once again, but the trains were having trouble making it back to the station. that should really throw him off.
  5. the same place as before Kings Island installed Firehawk. and longlivekingcobra, backlot has three launches; the launch at the start of the ride, the launch at the helicopter scene, and a launch as you are "busting through the billboard"
  6. that's crazy, they let bert do this before the park even opened and they want members of the general public to do it when the lines are normal, bert barely finished in less than an hour, with an empty park, i don't see how anyone could say that's fair.
  7. imagine riding Vortex, with little to no headbanging at all. well, me and gator managed to post that at the same time.
  8. so, i was at the park yesterday, and i noticed that this ride was removed and setting up where the pool was there was a bobcat and, what looked to be, two rebarb (sp?) cages laying on their sides, could this mean a new flat is coming?
  9. because, when you think about it, that's all any topspin is, a ferris wheel, except a top spin can lock it's car into place or spin it opposite of the main spoke. ... that and the fact that some of KICentral's members describe the ride as one.
  10. when i first saw that picture, i thought that b&m decided to take a stab at arrow's 4th dimension coaster, but i guess not, because in that artwork it doesn't look like the seats can move like the ones on x/x2, but hey, that might just be the artwork doing that though.
  11. funny thing from yesterday, ride op. for the crypt: everyone standing in line, the crypt is not a roller coaster, it's a ride like a ferris wheel that goes upside down.
  12. isn't this the same park that hinted last season that the new attraction for '10 will not get you wet? if so, i don't know if i can believe that it will be targeted for teens.
  13. terpy!!! when you do this it's like you crack open the door to your life to us that are most intrigued by it, and when we get enough room to stick our fingers in the crack; you slam the door shut leaving our body on one side and our fingertips laying on the ground beside you.
  14. link i'm aware of how information is posted and can be changed at any time, but i was wondering if anyone on here that knows if this is true, and can tell us if it's true, would. i mean, could maintenance not see that without huss telling them so?
  15. ...but isn't there a crane by Delirium right now? so it might have some value to it.
  16. awesome, i didn't know that was made out of wood, i always thought it was stone, but then again, i've only seen it in pictures, never in person. it's weird though, when i googled "world's largest wooden structure" the woolloomooloo wharf was what popped up.
  17. terp, are you talking about the woolloomooloo wharf in sydney?
  18. oh, i always thought it was one "carrot" per post above yours, but glad to know i have a tiny humor gland in my body.
  19. wait... i'm confused, are you laughing at yourself?
  20. ... learning things like, i really didn't pay as close attention to the epcot discussion as a thought i did in that special.
  21. i didn't judge you, if you haven't ridden it, you haven't, that's your call, i was just asking how you could say something about a rides "thrill" level, when you've never ridden it.
  22. how can you declare the ride, "not even exciting," when you've never ridden it?
  23. were you even able to ride the crypt when it was tomb raider: the ride, with all of the theming working?
  24. i'm not 100% sure that's correct, the way i understood the concept for the park now known as epcot (from a show from '06 talking about disney world) was this: walt and the imagineer team were working on two projects at once; one showcasing different countries of the world, while the other focused on future technologies and other things like that. they had built scale models of what both were to look like, when two of the imagineers took the two models and pushed them together, creating what is now known as epcot. although, i'm not sure if the models were built with walt still living, the imagineers did take all of his ideas, except walt's idea for spaceship earth, which was that skyscraper looking thing posted above by goodyellowkorn. please correct me where i'm wrong, i'm trying to use some information i've only heard twice, and the last time i heard it was like 6 months ago.
  25. ... then there are those, like me, who just ride it for the fact that they're riding on the world's largest top spin ever built, that and the fact they love the noise the gears make while flipping the gondola. the noise kind of reminds me of the noise the titanic was making in the movie while it was taking on water. edit: millennium, it came to a shock to me the first time i read it also. see here: http://kingsislandinsider.blogspot.com/2010/01/crypt-ridership-up-in-2009.html
