  1. the first thing construction wise with Diamondback happened on october 11, 2007 (according to the Diamondback blog), i don't see how in less than a year Cedar Fair decided what to build, where to get it, and started construction, unless however Cedar Fair had for whatever reason already planed for an attraction to go into rivertown before Kings Island was ever purchaced from paramount.

but hey, i'm not going to argue with the parks p.r.

  2. Thursday, Ray Kruse, a rides electronics technician at Kings Island, wired the lap bar device on Beast rain cars in the park's wood coaster maintenance shop.

ah, so that's what it is, they only have two trains designed to run in the rain, and we blamed it on Cedar Fair's safety rules.

I think that was a typo they don't have trains that only run in the rain.

this i was already aware of. :D, i guess i should have added a ;)

  4. seeing these pictures almost makes me wish that you could go walk around the park during it's winter rehab, i think it would be amazing to get to see all of this stuff going on in person (expecially since when we went last year there was only a little work going on in the Diamondback station).

  5. i've rode Diamondback at night in both row 1 and row 16, and i must say, it's amazing getting to dangle off the chain lift in the very front only seeing a few little light poles lighting the ground below and it's equally amazing getting the extreme ejecter air coming over the tops of the hills in the very back when you cannot see when you are about to clear the top of one.

  6. edit: just ignore this post

i understand that the map is the '09 park map but not every member of the general public would. so if a change as big as no more Son of Beast at Kings Island came about, Kings Island wouldn't want someone to raise a fuss because they showed Planet Snoopy and Son of Beast on the same map, yet Son of Beast wasn't at the park.

maybe i'm just looking at this too hard, but i still think Kings Island/ Cedar Fair/ apollo wouldn't want to risk something like that happening.
