  1. Not necessarily an error, but definitely interesting is the Trademark page, which includes all CBS and Paramount trademarks, including things like "BORG INVASION 4D" "TOMB RAIDER: The Ride" and "MINI COOPER."

mini cooper's are still part of the ride backlot, they just removed the paramount references, and paramount doesn't own mini, or bmw for that mater.

  2. off topic, I work at The Racer and i heard some changes will possibly be done to the ride next year. Such as removing the break sheds so both sides can see who really won. Also painting the blue side blue and the red side red instead of just leaving it white and lastly, taking the big fence that seperates both sides so anyone could just walk up and choose which side they want to ride. It may no longer go backwards, but dramatic changes may be happening

I think they should paint the railings on the blue side red, and the railings on the red side blue.. Just my thought.

at least it would match the sign out front, blue over the begining of the red sides line, and red over the begining of the blue sides line. :P

  3. ^ Which FoF clone does not have a MCBR?

joker's jinx at six flags america.

in this picture you can see where the mid-course brake run would be if it was Flight of Fear (the part of track with the circle things around it) and you can see that there isn't a catwalk or any wiring for brakes.

    http://rcdb.com/544.htm?p=524

Joker's Jinx also uses 2 trains, whereas FoF uses 3 trains.

i understand that, even though it only runs train 1 and train 3 now, but read what you said, weather it be for a block or not i was just answering the question you asked.

  4. plus anyone who pays attention can tell when they are needed. for example if you watch Vortex as it enters it's MCBR (yes im aware, that these are different but it still slows it down). now imagine if you removed those. think about how much speed the ride would gain. The corkscrews would put extreme torque on the cars.

Vortex's mcbr is used as a block.

the same for Flight of Fears MCBR. would want it to go any faster after that point. think about how fast it already goes.

then why on earth did it run for so long with the mid-course turned off?

  5. a couple of nights ago i had a dream that alot of us kic'ers were at Kings Island on a non-operating day standing out by the gate that leads to the parking over by the employee entrance and the only thing that don would say to us was "7348" and that was it, nothing more and nothing less, so people started throwing out random guesses to what they thought it me. all i could think about was all of the rides that were around that length, and all i could think about was millie, and steel dragon over in japan, so i yelled out giga coaster to him, he looked at me nodded his head and walked back into his office and left all of us kic'ers outside in the cold staring at each other, but no one was excited or happy, everyone was just confused and then i woke up.

    wierd dream.

  6. They replaced that with Scooby Doo? That was, by far, THE best amusement-park dark ride I have ever seen. It should have never been replaced...

I'm assuming you've never been on Pirates Of The Carribean

and don't forget the haunted mansion

  7. ^okay... so would you say that the 2nd half of the corkscrews on Vortex are both drops? I don't think so. But it's a change in elevation.

and what is a drop, but a simpler way of saying "change in elevation".

actually, i do count those as drops, the only thing i don't consider drops are the things like the first turn on The Beast, The Racer, or the other things on roller coasters that are very slight inclines that help the trains coast slowly into or out of the station.

  8. FOF has no drop! Although I would consider it the best launch in the park - although there is only one other ride with a launch!

yes it does, if it didn't then the whole ride would just be a launch over a long straight peice of track.

  9. Kings Island isnt known for the most unique things.

    world's tallest wooden coaster

world's first successfully looping wooden coaster

    world's longest wooden coaster

    world's first inverted family coaster

world's first coaster to have six inversions

    world's first lim launch coaster

    world's tallest gyro drop

world's best kids area for 9 years running

    world's first giant top spin

    world's first giant frisbee

you're right they arn't know for many unique things.

EDIT: i forgot about Diamondback being the first hyper coaster with a splashdown,

there are most likely alot more that i have forgotten, feel free to add.

  10. I can think of a few parks that have better atmospheres than CP, but not a better ride selection (well, maybe CaWo for flat rides).

like disney world, even though my none of my most favorite rides are there, i got goosebumps everytime i walked into one of the four parks there from how amazing walt disney was and how his dream has been reflected in the parks long after he's been gone.

man i really want to go back to disney, one week wasn't even close enough time to go through all four parks. :(
