  1. Looks like to the left of the track (which btw IS pretty short) Looks like you'll be racing some other people, perhaps the hornet? *Haven't seen the movie in awhile.*
  2. I wish the Timberliner's didn't get delayed so much. Either way, my trip in August was fun. Looks like you guys got lucky with the short lines. Are the blue trains still as fun as before? I only rode red, for some reason the roughness ruins the forces for me.
  3. Well it seems to be random. I've gone every Friday for awhile now, and it spins sometimes and doesn't other times.
  4. Are* ^ I've only ridden one. Raptor.
  5. I think Haunt is fun for the most part. The fog with the lights going through the trees are my favorite things to see, it just looks so cool. If you are just riding, you won't get someone in your face typically, unless you're near a haunt maze. And if you do, it's really only for 2 seconds, deal with those two seconds, you'll live. They can't touch you so just walk around them, they won't follow unless you're acting scared. For the guests, I actually had a conversation with my friend. He smokes cigarettes occasionally, and he was even mad about people smoking in line. At least if I'm around when my friend smokes, it's in a place where I can go away from him if I'm tired of smelling the smoke. But in line for Diamondback, lets get halfway through the line, and then pull out a cig. Really? This is a public park, and I know there's tons of smoke; but if you want to feel like a rebel by smoking in places not designated for it, then go someplace where people can walk away from you. I shouldn't have to explain why. For the guests that are drunk, and being nasty to you. I've personally never experienced that. I mean you can smell beer maybe a handful of times if you stay all night, unless you're next to the stands where it's being purchased. But it's not overwhelming either. The theming with the skeletons is pretty poor, I remember riding beast, (surprisingly rougher and faster than usual last night/this morning) But they had this demon or skeleton with a red light? I just remember telling my friend as we were going up the hill, that I'm glad Kings Island put out the big bucks to theme this ride. Now, I'm not actually mad, just thought it was funny that they even put something there when it's so ineffective. As said before, Halloween Haunt probably will never go away with how much money it's making. If you were there on the 9th, you know how capable Kings Island is at bringing in large crowds during this season. That Saturday I literally walked around the park once and with Racer even being full, I left, and watched a movie.
  6. 5 is still locked for me.
  7. I want a pure haunted house, not one you walk through though... That's one thing I never really liked about HH, is you can get stuck behind very cautious people, and make things go way longer than they should.
  8. *enter from left* Hi, I'm really excited for this coaster *exit to right* *enter from left* I think it could end up being either something like Maverick, as previously stated *exit to right* *enter from left* ... or it could quite possibly be a strata coaster *exit to right* *enter from left* I realized that Maverick doesn't have 4 tubed track so... We'll see. *Run to the right*
  9. I still love the idea of an Intamin Pre-fab woodie. They probably could have the ride still at 200 plus feet, and actually have a really fun and smooth experience.
  10. As low traffic as Viking Fury is, they really should just let you have those free swings that I remember back in those days.
  11. I did the same thing when I heard... well I already posted it awhiles back. But at Cedar Point I heard a guest say something, and I kinda chuckled as I knew I had something good for this thread... but no one replied *sniff* I'll have to try again later.
  12. i think this is pointed towards me, so let me clear up my post. the field reporter did a great job telling facts (i was extra impressed that he didn't include either of the extra "the" 's that are usually placed in Son of Beast's name), i was referring to the man setting behind the desk and him giving information on how "metal" coasters are in comparison to wooden coasters. Oh okay then, sorry.
  13. He isn't suggesting that a doctor would know much about coasters, and if a certain ride is really bad. He's saying to check with them to see if you are well enough to endure something like a coaster. Like he said earlier, it's common sense to know whether you are well to ride. But some just don't pay attention, so why couldn't a doctor tell you if you're well enough? Perhaps you just came out of a surgery 2 months ago, maybe you've had a sore back for 2 weeks and wonder if it's safe to ride, even though your back feels fine under regular conditions. It honestly isn't that "ignant"
  14. As much as I would like a B&M Invert... I went with Plug n' Play because I want SOB to be replaced with something smooth and extreme... if it's replaced. God I hope it is... I think the ride is beyond the point where we can make it smooth again. After SOB is taken care of I'd love a B&M invert or a launched intamin ride to replace Back lot stunt track.
  15. I for one miss the water that shoots out before the secondary launch. That would always make me jump even when I counted it down. And for The Vortex trains "I" Don't want new trains, because I'm finally at the right height where every turn doesn't move my head hardly at all... so no head-banging, no neck-banging (for you taller people) It's just a fun ride for me now. But I wouldn't mind some trains from Vekoma that have lapbars. Although I doubt we'll get any since we have the corkscrews with hangtime. Maybe S&S or Maurer Söhne could work on the restraints alone... and we leave the actual cars?
  16. Sure isn't but you gotta be careful. That saying that too much of something is bad, comes into Drop Tower. I swear I rode Drop Tower so much last year, that the drop didn't get any queasy feeling in my stomach and didn't get my adrenaline going. That's what I got for putting my hands up every time I rode... So now I ride/ visit in moderation. So far so good.
  17. http://www.KICentral.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=22587&st=0 (5th post) Tunnels to the right [what appears to be some] http://cache.rcdb.com/pictures/picmax/p140.jpg (to show where Flight Commander was) EDIT: Nevermind. I think the picture with the tunnels is Rebel Yell.
  18. I'm going to edit my post, I was thinking of the roar. *face palm*
  19. You mean the sound most, if not all, B&M's make? It's just B&M.
  20. Alright, I shall take your word, and hopefully he'll climb on to the ride and enjoy it as it's meant to be enjoyed. On a side note, I rode today... and walking off I couldn't help but think. Did they make the swings higher? And add two extra swings?
  21. Didn't The Racer used to have tunnels too? On the turn on the side of the hill, where the tracks split?
  22. Oh well, a mutual friend doesn't ride it because he claimed that the bolts were coming off. I asked him how he knew, and he said at the peak of the swing it was jumping. [perhaps I should post this in guests say the darnedest things] But I just came on here to see if anyone knew the real reason why it does this. I still think it's safe even with this bouncing.
  23. Very true, Jasper. Although I'm not too sure about liberty launch being sub par to power tower. I rode the "shot" for power tower to compare to HW's and I found power tower to be very tame. The most joy I found in it was the cool breeze, and how quickly we got up, and how high. Seems like there's more things I like in power tower, but the intensity of liberty launch just makes liberty take a higher pedestal to power tower. But that's just my opinion. P.S. Is anyone else suddenly amused so much easier when you sit in a flat ride as opposed to a coaster? I kinda found that odd, when I first noticed myself doing this.
  24. Oh, well I didn't figure it was an issue... nothing dangerous, that is. But I just figured that maybe the bumping wasn't intended. And your quotes around feature didn't make me think otherwise; just made me think I shouldn't worry. (I don't btw, I trust KI would close a ride when needed)
  25. If that's not a joke, then my condolences; but is it from the wheels/ rubber belt (or whatever is used to grip the ring) slipping?
