BANSHEE: The Poll
It looks like a lot of dirt and footings right now, how it will look when it is finished remains to be seen.

Starting to Decode 2014
Yep, I'm sure all the Cedar Point fans are saying, "Darn! KI is getting tombstones! And here we are stuck with MF, TTD, Maverick and Magnum!"

Starting to Decode 2014
I hope that this ride is not trimmed I would hope it is trimmed, so they can run 3 trains and not 2. Trims do not permit additional trains to be run! (See the trims on The Beast)

What did you think about GateKeeper?
One of the most worthless things I have ever had to endure!
-
Worst roller coaster you've ever ridden.
Yes, Gatekeeper is slow, forceless and boring. There is nothing even remotely thrilling about that ride.

Mantis = B&M MF = Intamin

"Rigged" games
When my kids want to play games, I ask them, "If that prize was for sale in a shop for (the price of the game,) would you walk in and buy it?" They always decide not to play......

Intamin or B&M
Not since the organ...uh...disappeared. My toddler loves the carousel. I am saddened that he doesn't get to see the organ playing the music. --Beatle, who never had to look at a Three Point Challenge as a small child............

Intamin or B&M
B&M does have the reliability thing down. They can always be relied upon to make me wish I was doing something more exciting, like reading the dictionary!

Starting to Decode 2014
Remember that their last "world-record-breaking attraction" still costs $5.00 a person to walk through......
-
Intamin or B&M
I voted Intamin, despite the fact that no B&M coaster has ever had a launch cable or a cable lift break (they have never made a launched coaster or a coaster with a cable lift), not one of B&M's 400-foot tall coasters has ever malfunctioned (B&M has never built a 400-foot tall coaster), and there has never been an accident on a B&M water ride (there are none).....

Are you referring to the three-year-old Diamondback footings that had to be replaced last year?
-
Starting to Decode 2014
Know also that CP PR has said CP is aware of the issue and is pursuing a fix. How long before the B & M fanboys find a way to blame Intamin for this?

Starting to Decode 2014
"A truly bad roller coaster is any roller coaster that does its home park more harm than good, not whichever one you enjoyed or didn't enjoy." Unless you are a person who shelled out some of their hard-earned money to ride things that you find enjoyable.

It also has to be a full-circuit coaster. Please see the link I posted previously.

Why couldn't an inverted coaster be a hyper? Lets think outside the box. That's what we're all here doing. An inverted coaster could be a hyper if it had no inversions. A "hyper" is a coaster without inversions with a height between 200 and 299 feet. Period.
-
Starting to Decode 2014
A coaster with inversions, regardless of height, is not a "hyper."
-
Starting to Decode 2014
I started out wanting an intamin giga, then B&M giga. Now I want a hyper invert with at least 7 invertions. http://www.coasterforce.com/coasters/coaster-types/steel-coasters/hyper-coaster Hypers, by definition, do not have inversions.

A Warning to the KIC Universe
No, they don't. Fanboys do! And I'm sure that the people at KI understand that any idiot can start an account in these forums and that their actions are their own. Holding every person with a KIC account responsible for the actions of a rogue individual is as illogical as calling every KI employee a thief because a dishonest employee at a food stand was caught slipping a few dollars from the register into his or her pocket.

Starting to Decode 2014
There are more than two roller coaster manufacturers in the world......... And before anyone asks me what I think they are building, my answer is, "footings."

A Warning to the KIC Universe
Anyone else remember the knucklehead who slipped back to the former Swan Lake location during the 2008 job fair? I'm guessing that the person didn't get the job.

I saw the green generator. I couldn't tell what the two white objects were, though. I would have taken pictures, but it was raining pretty hard when we left.

Bavarian Beetle
I am alive and well! I rode Bavarian Beetle many times as a small child who longed to be tall enough for The Racer! Galaxi at Indiana Beach is similar, if not a clone of, KI's Beelte.
