Yes get a map. And start with The Beast, then turn right and you will find Backlot Stunt Coaster then Vortex. Turn left from The Vortex exit and you will see signs directing you to Flight of Fear and Firehawk. After that go back the way you came, make a right at coney mall and you will reach The Racer and Adventure Express... Keep going to your right after that and you are in Action Zone. Ride Delerium, Drop Tower, and the three coasters in whatever order you prefer... But, above all else, ride The Beast at night!!! After 30 years, that is still my favorite ride in the world.....

Congratulaitions on your marriage. I would not be surprised on certain busy Saturdays if the wait time for DB would be in the four or five hour range, but that will be rare. And during those times, I will not be at the park or will be in the wave pool at BB.

What I'm most looking forward to is the first drop on The Beast....

One answer that worked for me once when asked about a hypothetical situation (and I had no idea what to say) was... "Well, I've never been in that situation before, but I would do whatever I was trained to do, and if I wasn't sure what to do, I wouldn't make something up, I would get a manager." I got that job. Hope that helps.....

Clown Band, perhaps?

Nope, the term reminds me of catching Bass and Steelhead..... and, they both taste much better than chicken, IMO!!!

My favorite is my dream about a coaster like Millenium Force that went over the Eiffel Tower with a first drop just a foot above the water in the fountains and a boomerang turn above the Internatioal Restaurant.

Great PTR! Wish I had been able to attend. The kids and I went to a movie today and they loved it. Pictures like yours are always kind of a reminder to me that when life is bad, it's just temporary and good times will eventually return. The bad times are like the snow covering KI. They, like the snow, wll melt away and everything will be ok again. Sorry, that may be the cornyest thing I've ever written, but I mean it....

New ride for 2010?

The park industry needs a multi billion dollar government bailout... LOL!!! -
That is a correct statement. Universally the team behind building and planning the ride get the official first ride. At least after the water dummies......

Yes, suicide prevention is factored in to the design of the restraints.....

Ride Rumors and where they get started
BavarianBeatle replied to violakat03's topic in Other Amusement Parks & Industry News
This article offers some limited insight into how rumors, myths and urban legends spread. http://www.psychologytoday.com/rss/pto-20020301-000011.html -
I don't think you are insulting at all. And what you are saying is not wrong. But coasters are designed so that they do not create forces that can eject a person from the ride, assuming the person meets the height requirements and is seated properly, of course.

You know that makes the most sense of anything anyone has EVER said here Terp. Thanks. I think it is like this. We are a community, perhaps even some of us one day might want to have a role in things at KI. But at any rate, I have noticed this... We all have our good days and bad days. Sometimes we all get peeved about things. There are disagreements but also resolutions. It's just like a company, only the people on this site are here for the love of it. I'm sure the KI staff and CF get pleasure out of helping people too. But you know as they say business before pleasure. With us it is simply pleasure because we aren't in it. It could vary greatly what the future may hold but for now, we remain the staple of what Kings Island is about. Having fun and being together. So then I think it is good that we don't always agree... it's good that we have some difficulties and have to come to understandings and middle ground. Heck, that makes us more human, we grow through it. I'm just so glad that even when things get heated, everyone does their best to remain a community. Thank you to all of you. Especially in the face of adversity and I respect that very deeply and sincerely. Happy Birthday to my favorite roller coaster in the US! I LOVE YOU! Nothing will ever waiver my heart from the passion I feel every time I ride it. And a good friend of mine whom had her friend pass away always asked me to do one thing. Ride it for Robby once each time I go. We screamed out his name in the helixes and drops. He apparently loved that ride and for me... that a ride of all things could make someone's life a little brighter... that is something important that we are doing. Even though I didn't know him. I respect her wishes and in her absence scream it out on my first ride. I guess I'm just weird. I would love one day to either work in or even operate a theme park. But I have come to see it's no small potatoes. I'm sure things in the CEOs offices get crazy, the park operators, everyone works really hard to maintain their post. But even with the differences in these different things, there are no small parts. Thanks to anyone who has ever worked at Kings Island, works there now or will work there. Keep your heads held up and strive to make things better for all the parts of the whole. That is stability. I know, I have the ethics of some east Asian... but I like to keep it old school. It's what has kept me coming back for years. Sorry... I went on a tangent there. I LOVE The Beast! WOOO HOOO! Get CRAZY! = P Hopefully you will run into me and my childen on the last Beast ride of the night sometime....

Really? Please explain what you would do in the corkscrew in the front rows? Or even in the back rows? Feel like you are going to fall out but you wouldn't.... Have you ever noticed that sometimes there are coins that have fallen out of peoples' pockets on the floor of The Vortex trains? They are not restrained and they do not fall out....... Actually those coins typically get caught on something which keeps them from falling out, or they work out of your pocket sideways (They can not just drop) and sit on peoples shirts, and when they get up in the station the coins fall to the floor. Many times coins do fall out, the few that stay in the cars are an anomaly, especially if they fell out before the corkscrew. They just get caught on something, the same way we get caught on the restraint! We do not get "caught" on the restraint.... if we did with enough force to eject us fron the ride, it would leave bruises.... The forces make us touch the restraints so that it creates the illusion of danger when. in reality, based upon the laws of physics, we are completely safe..... The engineers who design costers are good like that
