Thank you. That purple glow in the fog would be really cool for The Haunt. -

Yes, black lights with fluorescent trains would look very nice at night..... Or even better, use white light during the regular season, then use black lights for the Haunt...... -
I love 0:23 to 0:25 of that show!! I agree that the song is annoying. I agree with Interp in many ways. If many of you were to go to 1970s Kings Island, it would be like trading your Blackberry for a rotary dial phone or trading in your car for a 1972 Ford Pinto. But for a child in the 70s, KI was simply a magical place. I never watched Banana Splits (I preferred Bugs Bunny, Scooby Doo, The Pink Panther and Superfriends).... But KI in that day and age was, to me the greatest thing since sliced bread. I don't think my kids will ever experience a park the way we did back then. Today we have cable with 180 channels (in the 70s we had 4), video games (which did not exist in 1972), DVDs and VCRs (which were virtually nonexistent in the 70s), computers and the Internet (same thing), and so many other ways for kids to entertain themselves. When I was a child, our yearly one or two trips to KI were so much better than anything else that we did. I can't think of a modern day comparison. To me that is why KI always has and always will hold a special place in my heart. And, in a way, will carry with it a saddness that my children will never experience their love of the park in the same way that I did.

Looks fine to me. I'm looking forward to Rivertown next year as well.

In this day and age, I would guess that it is a depressed banking executive........ -
I heard "Psycho" by Puddle of Mudd on the radio yesterday in the car. It reminded me of the park and brought a little relief to what has otherwise been one of the busiest weeks I've had in a VERY long time....

Bare breasts and snot bubbles..... LOL!!!! You can tell it's the off season. But I only saw one woman fall out of her top this year, while we were in line on the red side of Racer. I had to quickly say "Look kids! There goes Firehawk!" Fortunately, they turned their backs.... Which remends me.... another embarrassing moment this year was when a woman was breastfeeding in the park, and my kids asked what she was doing. The people around us looked at me like "Well, Dad?....."

Much better...... In fact twice as much for the dancers, many of whom I must deal with outside of the strip clubs in my professional capacity.....
-
They use $2 bills at strip clubs these days.... Or so I hear.....

Enjoy it while you can. These days, I must look like I'm in the Army when I go to KI because everyone calls me "Sir."

My question is who pays whom? Do Skyline, Starbucks, Cinnabon et al pay for the privilege of operating in the park, or does the park pay for the right to use their names? And I know that Terpy will say "Yes"..... LOL!!!! I have always found the Nick license thing to be completely backwards. If I ran CF (Like that will ever happen...LOL!!!), I would charge them for the right to advertize their product in front of thousands of park guests, rather than paying them for the "right" to use their name. Which is probably why I don't work in the park industry.....

"Sorry folks, we're closed for two weeks to clean and repair America's favorite family fun park. Sooooooorrryyyyy.... Uh huh uh huh uh huh!!!" --Beatle, always looking for the opportunity to refer to the original Vacation movie......

I got The Beast.... Big surpiise there -
It's always nice to have a friend! I just wanted to point out to those who didn't know that the music, besides being a very nice song, was from the 70s, the "good old days" of KI. Very nice choice and a very nice video!!! However, I prefer the first album to the fourth as my second choice.... -- Beatle, always a friend and fellow music fan.

Who is this lender? If anyone knows.... -
The music is "Bron-Yr-Aur" by Led Zeppelin from the almumn Physical Graffitti. One of the best albums ever, IMO. Long live the LP!!!

You can purchase them on the Internet after you leave the park. Just save the pink ticket and the website is at the bottom. I did that two years ago with a special picture and gave it to someone as a Christmas gift. It went over very well.

I always try to be polite to the keyhole photo people. I know I wouldn't want to stand in the hot sun on dark black pavement for hours at a time. I've always felt that on a hot day, that would be a miserable job, so I always try to just take a second and smile when they ask to take my picture.

Guess Whos Bored

My favorites go back to when I was a little kid. Enchanted Voyage and Bavarian Beetle (of course). I loved both of them when I was a child and I still miss them both. -
I rode all three at HW with hands up the whole way. The only problem I had was my keys sliding between my leg and the seat divider on The Legend. That left a mark.... A large purple one!!!! But I believe hands up (or hands relaxed and not holding on), is best for any coaster. The only problem I had with being relaxed this year was on Mantis, which is trimmed to the point that the G-Forces don't hold your head up in the turns. I got my head dropped against the restraint, which slammed my ear pretty good.

A miserable time indeed..... Just remember Flight Commander......

Why do you find it necessary to YELL by writing in ALL CAPS?
