  1. Your kids are hilarious Beatle. You've trained them well. All I had to do was spend a day at Holiday World with them.... Then they recognized the effects that trims have on the ride experience!!!
  2. Same here. I like to have a few drinks every now and then, and when I do consume them in the presence of people I don't know, I take drinks from it in a ladylike fashion. If I do get a little sloshed, I mostly laugh and joke, I do not act like an imbecile. I smoke too, but even in designated smoking areas I never blow smoke toward anyone's face or flick my ashes in their direction regardless if they are a smoker or not. I also put out my cig butt and dispose of it properly. People really need to learn manners, and it disgusts me when people act otherwise. I enjoy a few drinks myself, but I don't like paying $7.00 for a cup of beer!!! Therefore, I think I had two, maybe three, beers at the park this season. I smoke as well, but only in designated areas. Usually while my kids ride nearby rides..... And I absolutely hate it when others who choose to smoke do not show the same respect!!!
  3. My son (9 years old), wonders if we will get similar pictures when they install the trims. A cynic at such a young age....!!!
  4. Interp thought of that..... LOL!!!! Sorry, Terpy, just had to!!!
  5. Oh yes, a "she" can be evil and crazy!!!! --Beatle, who once walked out on a date after being "MF'ed" in the first 5 minutes. And, I hate to admit, had another one show up on a first date with her dog. (I'm NOT!!! kidding).
  6. Well, the last time we went to the Haunt, they used the hand held scanner to check our passes and yesterday, that wasn't counted in the number that showed up on the screen.... So if you count the times those were used, we visited KI exactly 40 times this year. Combined with 4 days at CP, one at Holiday World and a trip to Stricker's Grove, that makes 46 trips in the 28 weeks from April 20 to November 2.....
  7. I must do The Beast first.... To me, not doing so would feel, purely in the metaphorical amusement park sense, almost like cheating on my wife....
  8. I saw you, but it was from quite a distance and I couldn't catch up with you. Yes, we all wore our DB shirts before it got cooler and we put on the long sleeves.
  9. I will not be one of them..... The Beast will always be first and last for me as long it (and /or I) are both still around.
  10. It's too early to tell from those images. They will, I predict, cut down all of those trees and completely clear that area before building anything in that area. And, remember, the exit doesn't have to be terribly wide, like Millenium Force.
  11. Thank you all for your kind replies. It appears from the responses and the other trip reports from Sunday that the members of this site darn near had the park to ourselves on Sunday and didn't even know it.
  12. We were on that train before they loaded the last train before the ACEers..... So I guess there were technically three trains left when we finished our last ride....
  13. Sounds like I'm in the minority, but my plan for opening day is to hope everyone sprints to Diamondback while I enjoy short lines on all of my old favorites.....
  14. I don't think that stopping for the train ahead of yours indicates a problem with operations. If anything, it indicates that your train was loaded and sent on its way quickly and the computer system had to slow it down.
  15. Wow! We must have ridden The Beast together on that last ride. We were in the back car.
  16. Before the end of the day, we did one last Racer ride too.....
  17. I think he's better than me.... There are no attractive women in any of the ones I took...... But wearing those boots at an amusement park had to hurt by the end of the day...... --Beatle, whose previously broken ankle throbs after a warm day followed by a chilly night,,,,
  18. We also had well over 100 Beast rides this year. We always finished our nights riding it again and aain,,, 40 park visits, it was always first and last, and last was often as many as 6 times if the line was thin.....
  19. For some reason the indoor haunts scared them.... They LOVED the outdoor things... (Worksite, Corn Stalkers, Tombstone Terror-tory, Cemetery Drive, Trail of Terror) But getting them into a building was scary for them this year... Maybe they're claustrophobic? But if a young girl told them it was ok, they would do it.... They're like their Dad used to be when it comes to that........................ LOL!!!!
  20. They are wonderful and I love them very much!!! But they wussed out of Urgent Scare.... LOL!!!!!
  21. Well, we were busy with Halloween this weekend. But we got to go to the park today. We stopped and filled the tank at $1.88 a gallon. Then we got to the park around 11:30. Wyatt left his pass in the car so it took a little longer to get in than I would have liked. But we eventually got our first ride on The Beast. Then on to BLSC, Shake Rattle & Roll, Vortex, and Racer. By that time we were hungry so we left the park for lunch. When we came back, we went up the Tower. Then we rode every ride we could. I think we rode just about every ride in the park. The weather was beautiful!!! Diamondback looked great.... But this is just WRONG!!!! But, I got one last picture of me by The Beast entrance. I've had so many wonderful times in that area..... It is sad to see it changing. But at least my son knew enough to make that shot wide enough to include the blond. LOL!!! They were very well behaved all day long. We had more fun than we have in a long time!! But then the sun began to set and we knew the season was coming to a close..... (The best picture I took today, IMO). We did two more rides on The Beast, then took a walk around the park talking about all of the things that had happened at the various places within the park as we passed them and took a few last pictures of the year. Then it was time for the last ride on The Beast...... The best and worst moment of the year. The last train of the night was leaving as we left the station and the fountains and the tower looked every bit as good as they did in 1972 as we left. Even though she has been gone for over 8 years, I missed their mother tonight.... We got to the front of the park and I stopped and turned around for one last look at the fountains and Tower. I asked the kids, who were silent, what they were thinking. Watt said, "I love this place." I said "So do I, buddy, ...so do I..." David put his arm around me and said, "I love you, Dad"..... I can't think of a more perfect ending to any season!!!! Thanks for reading!!! And thanks for a great season!! Have a great winter and we'll see you next year on Diamondback. --Michael
  22. And the temperature was above 70.......In November!!! --Bavarian, who just jinxed us and is now expecting snow within a few days
  23. I will be the guy with the two very innocent looking little boys, who are very deceiving... Single fathers are rare at KI!!
  24. They are wise beyond their years.... Just don't get behind them in line while your pass is scanned!!!
  25. We will be there on the 2d. It's the last day and the weather will be beautiful.
