We should start a group therapy that involves buying a basketball and stabbing it millions of times with a knive until it's in shreds...then cutting the remaining shreds into pieces with scissors...then setting the tiny pieces of confetti on fire...then throwing the ashes on people dibbling the basketballs. When I first joined this forum, I was very open, and still am, about my hatred for trims. Everyone seemed to argue in favor of the trims at that time, so it feels good to know that I am definitely not in the minority. Perhaps I learned how to type it better or those who argued in favor have given up on changing my view. Regardless...this rocks! Flyer, who wants to fly free of trims, and who also thinks The Beast Rider needs to learn how to spell queue.

The rain policy and trim brakes. Other than that, I'm happy. And Kings Island has more magic than just about any other park I've visited.

Somehow, I'm doubting that. Plus, you are forgetting that Drop Zone is a true free fall and what stops you at the bottom is a set of magnetic brakes. Those brakes would still work regardless.

That's what more associates at KI need to get into their heads. Usually when guests are angry, it's not because they've really had a bad day, they just remember the two or three little bumps in the road and that's all they can remember. Sorry to hear about this experience. I can assure you, though, had any of the crew at Beast seen the person sitting there, they would have done something.

...And then some of them hate being stapled themselves and will accomodate those who wish to be able to breathe on the ride. All I can say to this one is TEEE HEEE HEEE! I can see his thought process...if you're going to try that...try THIS! I know he thought that! Again, tee hee!

Harsh vibration, maybe...but can you really call it "rough"?

2 things. 1. "splane"? 2. I'm always appreciative about Blue Streak's line. It's my favorite at Cedar Point, and you can count on it being a short wait. Flyer, who is dreading the day he rides Blue Streak only to find it has been trimmed...and who would then proceed to cry, pout, complain, and leave.

Well...I guess I have been caught. Since you brought it up, it gets kind of difficult to find new ways to say the same thing...but I try my best. Wait until Halloween Haunt. Bwaaa haaa haaa haaa!

I'm a little confused by how anyone can call any part of Diamondback "rough." Even if it's not perfectly smooth, I think "rough" is an exaggeration...to put it mildly. Go ride Son of Beast, and then we'll talk about rough once you come out of the Rose Bowl helix.

Flyer's suggestion would be to enjoy the 4th of July marathoning The Tornado at Stricker's Grove...among doing other things at said glorious park.

YES!!!!!! I haven't been to Boomerang Bay for a while - to swim anyway. Snowy River Rampage is my favorite, and I always remember waiting in a line for it and having to stand on the rails or the edges of the walkways due to the really painful non-skid mat they had. Now my favorite waterpark ride will shine in that department too! Flyer, who affectionately refers to that slide as "old whitey."

Which is precisely why I intend to make my own. Sounds like a perfectly great idea to me. I've always wanted to make the basic outline of a car from The Beast or something into the coolest bed frame ever. Mine will have to withstand a little more force than the above, and definitely have good upstop wheels.

I probably don't have to mention what I think of trims - see signature - and I wish that all of them were gone. Personally, I don't think it's too much to ask that the coasters be as much fun as they were designed for. Beast's brakes are perhaps the worst, but what about Diamondback, Backlot, Vortex, Flight of Fear, RACER, Beastie, Son of Beast, Magnum, Maverick, Gemini, Mean Streak, Mantis, Raptor, High Roller, Excaliber, Wild Thing...and all of those are just at 3 Cedar Fair parks. I can't think of a single one of them that wouldn't run safely without the trims. Many of them didn't open with trims, either, and are just plain neglected and forgotten about - High Roller the worst example. This could be a top ten coaster for me. Giga - You're my HERO! Holiday World's coasters are all proof that you can let your coasters move, if you choose. Cedar Fair does not! So, who thinks the trim comments will stop from me?? Anyone? That's what I thought. Flyer, who wants to fly free of trims!

Perhaps we need to clear up the definition of "train." I would argue that Mouse cars are just cars and not trains, as they don't have more than one car linked together. Thank you, though for clearing up that The Beast's brake shed is merely a trim brake and not a mid course trim brake run. (The extra word "trim" was intentional.) Which is precisely why I intend to make my own.

It must have had some airtime on that hill...like a few that come before it on that coaster. Did I mention that I'm also a Beastie fan from the back seat? It's much better with no trim...couldn't resist. Anyway, Teddy Bear at Stricker's was based off Teddy Bear from Coney Island, but actually isn't the full 40' tall. Tornado on the other hand is 55' and provides a fabulous ride that puts many coasters larger than itself to shame. The aforementioned airhill is around the middle of the ride and is best experienced from the back seat with a loose seatbelt...and I highly doubt that it is illegal, but remains a very fun spot on the ride. Flyer, who always attends Stricker's Grove's public days to ride trimless coasters.

And apparently I'm crazy for wanting to ride in the rain! I don't care what the whether is...I want my Beast fix!!!! Yes, I quite agree that it was a fun time, and Brad is definitely funny.

Well...after reading the above statement, one of us needs to take a Xanax.

I'm betting the exact phrase was "killer chickens that haven't been fed in weeks" among other things that are in those tunnels only in the land of Brad!

On last train on Millennium Force the Monday after opening weekend, we got back into the station and the op said "Welcome back riders, how was that ride?!" (everybody cheers and starts chanting "one more time") "You want to go again?" (crowd cheers) "Then come back tomorrow!" This sounds similar to my situation on Millennium after close, and you may have been there, so tell me if you were. "Welcome back riders, how was your ride? (cheers and screams) Well that's good because it's the last ride your gonna ride!"

You were probably thinking about the two sides to The Racer. Two sides, one coaster.
