I remember waiting in line for HOURS opening season for TRTR and it was truely a one of a kind thrill. I loved feeling like you were shoved right into an action scene of the latest tomb Raider film! The atmosphere is what made the ride...boring ride program or not. It was meant to highlight its theming and I think Kings Island and Paramount did a fantastic job. I must say however, that Cedar Fair's rendition is an Epic Fail! That "retheming" is nothing but pure laziness. I love the previously mentioned idea and it would fit well in rivertown...however, in my opinion, Tomb Raider will be missed.

That makes sense for the most part but I'm really hoping the line isn't that long that early cause thats the first thing I was planning to go to. However, one of those planned trips is a school trip that may not happen anymore so...thats why I've not bought a season pass.

I'm only expecting one as I would like to ride some other rides that day and not waste my ticket. I really think that this whole ERT PLUS the auction are going to throw a wrench into the morning rides. Dealing with the two of those on top of GP wanting to ride...thats going to make for a mighty long line in the morning. I really hope this doesnt turn out to be such a long line that I only make it to like four rides thay day! What do you guys think?

^ I believe its the ohio river valley part that lacks a majority of the above. Mostly the tomb and Diamondback.

So does anyone know for sure how this is going to work. Or am I going to end up waiting like half the day to get on due to the auction AND ERT? I'm afraid that doing both in the same day is going to cause a very long wait for Diamondback GP that morning. I want to ride but I would also like to ride some other rides in the park so that my ticket is not a waste! They really should have thought this through a little more...unless someone has the full details?

I love this coaster and am sad to see the loop go but at the same time I think that they made a good choice and still enjoy the ride. However, the MCBR is rather pointless these days...I think it should just be removed.

^Exactly. I live two and a half hours away and I'm leaving at like 6 to get there around 830. You know you're a coaster geek when you get up early to wait in line to get into a park to wait in line to get to a ride to wait in line....lol

Well, I just want one. I'm planning to go straight to the ride and then enjoy the rest of the day in the park in the much shorter lines....if there is anymore time. I'm hoping for <3 hours at 10 a.m...emphasis on the HOPING part.

This is really cool. That should have a really nice effect on an already awesome area of the park. I personally love how it feels like you're in a different world when you walk through there. It's all natural and wooded.

So crowd density on opening day is basically hit and miss...people either flock or they don't, right? So based on that is there any real way to tell how slammed it will be due to the big red beauty?

Maybe theyll ad some picks like on the maverick sign. I don't like that extra space either and really hope SOMETHING is added. I also would like it to be backlit, that would be sweet.

I was thinking the same thing just now. I really hope these people have brains and there is more than we can see.

So does anyone know if Flight Deck got a paint job also? Or would this be something they'll try to surprise us with since we've complained for quite some time. I really wish they would add some foggers and some lights to that ride to make it a little more intense and fun.

^ Sorry, Bad choice of words. I know they don't have to guarantee you a ride but if you're in line you're more than likely to get on than be removed. So would you say that it would be better in the morning because I was thinking they may close the line also.

So what do you guys think? Smarter to get to Diamondback first thing in the morning or wait until about nine when you've ridden everything else and KI would have to guarantee you a ride?

Do you mean fairly lengthy overall as in a packed park or just fairly lengthy for Diamondback?

What time is it that the parks main gate opens again? It's been so long I don't even remember...lol. Also I've never visited on an opening day and this will be my first so i was wondering what kind of crowd to expect. I'm expecting something fairly large due to the huge debut. What time do you think would be a good time to be there so someone would not have to wait several hours to ride...although I probably will anyway. Also, how much downtime do you expect Diamondback to have?

Sooo...did anyone else notice that the helix on the model is flipped the opposite way? The animations have it away from the lift and the model has it towards the lift...hmmm. Or am I just seeing things? But who ever said that the cannons on maverick were to simulate a horse running through water...I believe that they were intended to be simulating being shot at. Since the name maverick kind of has to do with a thief.
