But being that it is in 2 different places, 2 different times, worded 2 different ways, it does seem a little fishy. Maybe reading too much into it but it does make you wonder.

It IS, indeed, where I got it. I agree 1,000 percent. That would possibly return it to what it once was. Being as I've never had the opportunity to experience it, it looks truly amazing just from a spectator standpoint and I could just imagine what that would be like in the darkness inside that building. P.S. I hope you don't mind that I borrowed from your post, but as soon as I saw this I felt it necessary to put the idea out there where they would see it directly. Whether it made a difference or not...who knows.

Mr. Skinner also mentioned something about the possibility of making our Crypt similar to Kings Dominion's but that question went unanswered... I thought it was a rather good one. FYI, I am Mr. Skinner and that questioned stemmed from a post here.

^ agreed, and the opposite applies as well. People have different opinions. Accept it. What may be enjoyable for me may suck for you and what may be smooth for you may be rough for me. For example, my last trip to Cedar Point I decided to ride Mean Streak to form my own opinion after hearing TONS of complaints. I found a walk-on in the station, and soon after had my own idea as to why. Once we hit the bottom of the first drop, I heard my back pop and could not breathe for the rest of the ride and nearly 20 minutes or so afterward. In addition, my girlfriend left crying with a headache, and my two friends were complaining about miscellaneous pains that eventually went away. As a result, I decided to never ride the ride again... Which is probably the best way to avoid such issues as the above. Personally, I enjoy the ride. (WARNING...OPINION AHEAD) I find it to be a rather fun experience...always have and always will (hopefully). Granted, there are things that could be fixed and changed to make the ride more enjoyable but I also don't find it to be the treacherous torture device that (apparently) most people do. AND, there is one thing that will solve the problem indefinitely...if you don't like it, don't ride it. And, in support of the "mind over matter" issue above. It is a proven fact that your presumptions about something will effect your experiences. In my Psychology class we discussed a test that was done with some college students a few years back. A small group was selected to go to a bar and drink all they wanted for free and they're actions would be observed and documented throughout the experiment. Within a couple hours, the entire group was acting like they were completely smashed drunk...that is...until they were told what they were drinking was simply sparkling cider and other non alcoholic drinks... This just proves that what you've been told, or have presumed can drastically effect your experience with something and change the results of your opinion. I'm not saying that that is exactly what has happened here, I'm just putting in my two cents. Catz, running for the door.

I had never heard them until sunday. Just about all of them were working. It was actually the first time i noticed any audio in the spaghetti bowl. I think they should put the audio on the trains so you can hear it a little better...it would add to the effect.

^ Well I rode it twice in the front seat without getting up. The first time it was ROARIN' through the woods. I swear I've never had a faster ride, and I couldn't even feel the brakes. The second time was much more tame and was thrown forward at each and ever brake. So something must have been different. I'm assuming they can be powered down or something?

I was at haunt around the end of September or beginning of October and got a night ride on Beast... Wait for it... With NO TRIMS! It was epic. I didn't realize that thing was so fast. it was insane!

There are just too many potential people to guess. I think that was me. I'm not really sure that's EXACTLY what I said, but if it was me it's fairly close. That trim makes me so mad everytime...sorry.

Ok. so this is probably a dumb question. But I upgraded when I renewed to gold and have not used my free visit. If I use it on the first does my friend that I brought for 10 get ERT or would they have to wait? I'm just curious and this is probably a nobrainer...

so I have a question...and it may have already been answered but I didn't see it. If so sorry. Anyway, the back of my season pass for 09 says not valid for "fearfest"/ Halloween Haunt. But, the haunt site says season passes work...I am confused. Does that mean I get in free with my regular season pass or what?

I came from a high school where the marching band is almost non-existent and the music ed division has been gone for a few years now. I have had absolutely NO theory, history, or anything like that and I am currently a freshman in Music Education at Ohio University and it really isn't that bad. I also just came back from an audtion for the Marching 110 but didn't quite make it. There were very few spots and tons of new freshman...so...what can you do? BUT, the point I'm trying to make here is that even though he hasn't had band for a while being a music major isn't really that bad.

anybody know if there is an event in the park for this announcement? If so where will it be? I'm planning on heading up that day.

How are you going to even utter those words and be a member of an amusement park fansite. Do you know who designed that ride? Werner Stengel, who is also responsible for MANY other amazing and award winning rides around the world. The man is a legend and I assure you he knew what he was doing. It just has the same glitches that many other prototypes do. This coaster was/is one of a kind and I would be sad to see it go. Someone (Cedar Fair) just needs to take the time to figure out the probems and fix it. It may take a year...it may take two years, but I, as well as others, feel its worth it.

I, personally, would like a larger, modified, version of Xcelerator back in X-Base for our next coaster. Maybe mixed with Speed Monster.

No it doesn't. It says "Not valid durinf FearFest". It's not called FearFest anymore. I'm aware that its no longer Fearfest. I also know that it says "Not valid during Fearfest." Hence the reason I said it is referred to as Fearfest....
