Indeed. Here is the problem though. Now that they have done maintenence on the trains, and taken them apart and put them back together - they have mixed them up. It will take a few rides to figure out which was which. The ride I took Friday night was ultra-smooth though, so Ill have to try the other train and see how it is.

Physics is great! -
Troika is that ride next to Vortex - known as Shake Rattle & Roll to those less familiar with the park.
-
Yeah - Saturday rearranged my best rides list. TRTR Delirium FoF Vortex SOB Prior to Saturday, it was SOB Vortex Beast Recar FACE/OFF It was a great day in my opinion. It was Don who took that pic of you checking - and he should be sending it to me soon.

Acrophobia not only falls forward, but it is a stand up Gyro Drop Tower. You sit on a bicycle style seat with your legs dangling. Then it falls forward for the drop. Intamin does make them - and I think it would be coof if we had it.

But the vector in the helix goes down! Actually I'm sure the right hand rule has nothing to do with that, since it's not rotating. -
Well said Kong Fu Guy!

Vortex's restraints typically loosen up or even unclick a notch or so on the drop. I have even had mine unlock all the way in the station. If you have one or two clicks on Vortex, and it unclicks two clicks in motion - you're screwed. That is why we do it. Whether or not you enjoy having loose restraints is irrelevant. Our policy is that it will not be possible for a rider to ride Vortex and have the restraint capable of engaging more clicks and not put the rider in pain. I did not push down hard enough for anybody to be in pain. we are talking about 5-10 lbs of force max on the restraints - and they click once more - and the people complain. They aren't stapled - they are just whining because they want the restraint to be loose so they can get more air. You have to realize the difference between being stapled, and just not getting your way. Stapling is when the restraint is snug - and we get another click. I have not done that to anybody. One guy had about six inches between the restraint and himself, and his hands under it keeping it that way. I pushed down and pulled up, then walked to the next seat in the car, then took a step back and did it again. Just like I thought - he moved his hands, and I got three more clicks. He was like DUDE! But oh well. Having your bar loose is stupid, and I won't allow it. You want to be an idiot - go jump some Greyhound busses with a motorcycle. You aren't doing it on my ride.

Or get a mouthful of gravel and a broken neck...

I don't think I am a big shot. You can think what you want or get ****ed off at me - whatever you want. It does not matter. If you are riding Vortex, your restraint WILL be secure against you. If it is possible to get another click - you WILL recieve another click. It is for your safety - if you want to whine and cry about it go right ahead - it won't stop us. We don't do it because we are jackasses who think we are all powerful - we do it because it is our job. Don't like it - go ride something like Troika or Express, with loose restraints.

Hmmm - this implies that you are the only site to get video of the launch - a most incorrect assumption! It was wierd - it kept acting like it would rollback on the top of the helix, but it always just barely made it over. -
Yeah - I did not push anybody in so hard that they couldn't breathe. But still - they complained. If I staple you - you will know it.
-
What time did you ride Vortex the first time? It might have been me who stapled you. For your safety - I push down and then pull up. I was able to get extra clicks on probably 30 or 40 people today - at least. Of course most of them made that odd grunting noise when I did it - but it is for your safety.
-
Yeah - I didn't fit on it last year - and on top of that - looking at them scared me - so I never rode. But I love all three of them now. They are incredible. Especially Tomb Raider.
-
I had a lot of fun today - despite the weather. Rode Delirium first thing, then Flight of Fear, then Tomb Raider. Doesn't sound like much - but think about this - I have never rode them, and until today was scared to death to go near them. Delirium is AWESOME - I can't wait to ride again. Flight of Fear is great - and is now my favorite coaster. The highlight was Tomb Raider. BEST RIDE EVER! I hope I can ride all three again tomorrow!

I don't like Mandarin because its not that good, and it is way overpriced.
-
That is for Friday. Saturday and Sunday - the only people who will be there are Seasons Pass holders and people invited by employees.
-
Dont forget - Vortex was the tallest and fastest coaster at one time too I believe.
-
The weather forcast looks good for this weekend - but stuff happens... Hopefully it will be nice. It is supposed to pour down rain on Friday, then be partly cloudy with temps in the upper 50s - lower 60s on Saturday, and mostly sunny with temps about the same on Sunday.
-
I want to see fog.
-
I wan't to get to know you There is already a thread for this!
-
I did see the cars by The Vortex queue - very nice. I got to touch the wheels.
-
Maybe not - but you have your license.
-
On channel 22 (the local weather) they are saying partly cloudy, no rain, upper 50s/lower 60s.
