I agree - its going to make a good headchopper. What I don't get is exactly where the queue will be. Don, I don't think this is the queue line. It could be, but it wouldn't make sense. It looks like just a bridge with a divider in the middle. But who knows - maybe the left side is the queue, and the right side is for people getting off.

Just took a look at RCDB - MAN! This ride looks AWESOME! I haven't really had a reason to want to go to Disney before - but this is it! Look at that track! Its Vekoma - but unlike any kind they have ever done before. And it looks like it would be way better than Flight of Fear! And a $100,000,000 price tag!!?? Wow! I am blown away...

I like this one better. I know its not hard to get to the community forums. Its just a lot to keep track of. I guess I could use the IPB My Assistant to track threads - but normally I just keep track of them in my head. I guess I should start using My Assistant.

Alot of people just don't go over to the community forums. Just look at the number of posts there opposed to the number of posts here. I know I check PKIC every day - but I check the community forums about once a week - and when I do go over there I might make one or two posts. I am already in a lot of different forums - and its just a lot of trouble to go over there. I guess that was the point though. They wanted the PKIC forums to be about PKI, but didn't want to close all the other threads and forbid people from having fun. So they made the community forums for the 'junk'. I think it was interesting to see what PKD is doing. But then again - I am a member of ANMPKD.com, so I guess I would have found out at some point or another.

Oh, I can handle it. And I know who you are. I am just saying - don't worry about it. If there is already a topic like this buried 50,000 posts deep - then who cares. On PKIU they may have had the "Its called a search tool - *****" rule - but this is not PKIU. If there is a duplicate topic - then there is no harm being done by having two. How many "OMFG WHATS YOUR FAVORITE RIDE @ PKI" polls are there?

OK - well the PKIU topics are buried under PKIC topics - and many of us joined since then. Not all of us were in the original 50.

Yes, I consider Racer and recaR different coasters. They are different experiences. I get a different ride on recaR as I do on Racer. I know RCDB counts it as one - but what I am saying is that there are five different wooden roller coaster experiences you can have. I would like seven or eight.

We don't need one, but I think it would be cool. Especially a flier. Face/Off is an awesome ride, and a good invert. So is Rugrats. But we will be getting some kind of new BIG coaster in the up coming years. Vortex, FoF and Top Gun wont last forever. And something is going to replace them. And from a business standpoint - it only makes sense to replace a major coaster with another major coaster or kick ass flat. So when the time comes - we will need some kind of new major coaster. Skycaptain would make a good B&M invert or Vekoma SLC. And both Adams Family and The Core would be appropriate themes for a Dive machine. Me - I would like to see another big wood coaster. Five woodies isn't enough!

The ride is rough - but I like it that way. It is my favorite ride - and the more it kicks my ass the more I will like it! I don't think being rough is a good reason to dislike it. It is very fun I think, if you can get over the roughness in your mind. I mean if you have a back problem, it might not be a good idea, but I know perfectly healthy people that whine about the roughness all the time.

Besides - what about Runaway Reptar? It is a decent ride. It's not extreme or anything - but I enjoy riding it.

Considering how those ideas were on the PKD survey, and that PKD is the only park without a Top Gun, I doubt we will be getting either of them. We can only hope that we will get a nice B&M Invert or something down the road - maybe when Vortex dies... But I hope that is a long ways off...

I haven't got to ride it yet - but I hear ROTM is similar. Like it is a cool coaster. But at the same time the theming makes it kick ass. I think IJST will be the same way. Even without theming - if it was bright pink, and sitting on a flat field of alfalfa, who could turn their nose up at a coaster that has three LIM launches, and no straight track except in the station, goes underground and is very thrilling? Add in a real-life hollywood stunt experience and great theming - and put it in the middle of the best seasonal theme park in the country - and you have a great ride.

Looks like Ryan posted his as I was typing mine. So it is OK to go into the parking lot and look at the track as long as you are at the park doing other stuff?

Besides - it doesn't matter if its in plain view or not. The Space Shuttle launch pads are in plain view - yet somehow you are not allowed to walk up to them and take pics of them - you still must stay far away. PKI could still bust you for trespassing. Everyone knows where Area 51 is. And you can take pics from distant mountains, or commercial satellites. But if you cross the magic line - they shoot you dead!

Here is how I see it: Roller Coasters Flat Rides Transportation/Observation Rides Water Rides Waterpark Rides Dark Rides/Simulators I would put Tiques in Transportation/Observation, and AFXT in Dark Rides/Simulators.

The B*TCHIN is just totally B*TCHIN! I think its a good spot for it. It will be highly visible, and easy to access. Plus people will be able to go all around the ride and watch it from different angles - wheras with Vortex, you can pretty much only look at it from the line or from by the batwing. On Italian Job you can walk around it and see it from different angles. So I think it will be cool. I like Top Gun. I wish it wasn't so much a walk, but I am not going to whine about it. What is better - walking a half mile to get to Top Gun, or sitting at home watching TV. I would take Top Gun.

I doubt it. I think it is just a testing area of the Paramount site. That thing with the goat looks like a generic ride template.

Yeah I get it now. I was thinking of acceleration due to gravity in respect to the direction of travel. I know I was wrong!

Man - I've never seen the likes of this before - and probably will never again! I was looking around the official PKI.com website - and I clicked on "Thrill Rides" under the Attractions drop-down menu. And I got the wierdest result. It redirected me to some wierd URL that wasn't at PKI - and displayed this image! The only thing I can think of is that they were updating or something... Who knows - but it was REALLY BIZARRE!

Don - without an emulator - your next computer won't even run RCT1! I have RCT1 on my ancient P1 PC. My real computer is an iBook - but I just use the PC for RCT. I can't upgrade it as the mother board wont allow upgrades, and the ram is EDO ram! Down the road I might buy a new-to-me PC just to run RCT3. Personally, I think PCs are trash, and Macintosh is the only way to go. I had to choose over having a good computer and playing RCT - and I chose having a good computer. No amount of arguing with me can change my opinion on PCs running Windows (some PCs running Linux/Unix are ok, and of course SGI kicks ass!). And I say anybody who will fight to the death over their point that Macintosh sucks has never used one long enough - and is just repeating what he has heard from others - and is not worth arguing with.
