Got off Diamondback, the train that I was just on got stuck 1/2 to 3/4 of the way up the lift. Sat there for a good 15-20 minutes or so. I also heard it may have been a power surge as well. The Beast was also down when I went over after DB started cycling empty trains.

Back seat as others have said. Makes the launch much more intense.

I count 10 Cedar Fair coasters on that list. You would think WLW would be able to put the correct picture up for The Beast...

I remember a fanny pack.

No I did not. I do believe that I saw one over by The Racer when between my rides on blue and red.

Thanks y'all I appreciate it...instead of starting a new thread altogether I will add some information about today's brief visit. I headed up and arrived right around 12-12:30ish, expecting crowds to a minimum. However since it's Fourth of July Week, that got thrown right out the window as soon as I saw the parking lot. The park is PACKED today. Only got in a couple of rides...Red Racer and WindSeeker. Left around 3:30pm or so as I met a friend up there and talked to her and hung out for a little bit. Before I headed over to The Racer, I first went up to the Tower to get a better perspective of what's going on over in our Corner of Suspicion...footers, footers, and more footers. Can't wait to see what 2014 holds! Couple things real quick that I wanted to add...most of the TV's in Diamondback's queue area I see are no longer there. The one (or more, can't remember) that remain have severe burn in. Additionally, the spiel in the line is voiced by none other than our friend Don Helbig! Is the new ride for 2014 going to use Son of Beast's station? (avoids items from being thrown) I may head up tomorrow for ERT, not sure yet. I'm on vacation for work until Monday July 8 and have been off since Thursday June 27 and it feels like I have been off for a MONTH, but I'm enjoying every minute of it! (not to mention I have to go to the DMV to get tags. Happy Birthday present to me, State of Ohio!)

With all of the afternoon rain in the Cincinnati metro area during the day on Monday, I immediately seized this opportunity to head out to the park to get some rides in because the park would be dead. For the most part, it was and I probably got the most rides I've ever have in a 4 hour visit to the park. Started in Action Zone and Oktoberfest with the intent of checking out the progress with Project 2014. Flight Deck was first and it was a station wait. Next up was Adventure Express, also a station wait. The views of the construction site, especially on AE, shows progress coming along. Definitely a great vantage point if you want to see what is taking place. Have a watchful eye, especially on the second half of the ride. After this, I headed to The Racer. Station waits for both sides, I got in rides on both Blue and Red. Headed to Flight of Fear afterward, 20 minute wait for it and was one of the longest waits of the day. Well worth it though. After this I headed to Vortex, 10 minute wait for 5-1, as always an amazing ride. Headed to Backlot Stunt Coaster after this...been awhile since I've been on it. 20 minute wait for this ride. Last two rides of the night were on The Beast and Diamondback. 20 minute waits for each respectively. Beast was when it was getting dark with a lot of fog back there so it made for an interesting experience. Diamondback was a night ride in row 4. I got in a lot last night. Flight Deck, Adventure Express, Red Racer, Blue Racer, Flight of Fear, Vortex, Backlot Stunt Coaster, The Beast, and Diamondback...9 coasters in almost 4 hours, a new personal best for me!

The former SOB station will be used for a Haunt attraction this year and beyond.

Had to add this even though it was mentioned again a couple of pages back.. .

Welcome to KIC Snowblush!

As stated previously in this thread, take anything Lance posts at Screamscape with a grain of salt... EDIT: Beast1979 beat me to it! Gotta love Time Warner Cable's internet!

Hulk is a launched B&M but the system was not designed by them. The ride does not use LIM's but instead uses tires for the launch. Quite an amazing launch that I need to do again soon. EDIT: Someone already beat me to it!

I'm thinking a lot of people will be upset if we end up getting a ride like Shoot The Rapids at Cedar Point...

This sounds like fun. Most of the movies are geared toward children but Jurassic Park stands out as the most interesting to me. What's interesting is that these movie nights take place on Fridays, I would have guessed they would have done them on Saturdays to coincide with the midnight hours starting on the 29th.

One thing is for certain, this thread is getting interesting. I enjoy checking it out almost daily when I have the chance. I just realized I forgot to see what was going on out in Batavia last Thursday when I was out that way. I may swing past today to see if there's anything new within the last few days.
-
I will be out in the vicinity of CSF during the day Thursday. I will swing by and see if there is any track laying about. I will report back in Thursday evening either way.

The KIC post on Facebook has me interested right now. I hate telling someone to "mark your calendar" but... Could it be related to the mysterious activity happening in AZ?
-
Thanks for the recap Dane. I was gonna head out for a couple of hours this afternoon but with the possibility of very long lines with the Brady Bunch stars being in attendance today I decided against it.

I listen to all different varieties and genres of music, however growing up in the country my whole life, I listen to country music more than anything- especially classic country such as Merle Haggard, George Jones, Johnny Cash, and Conway Twitty to name a few. Reminds me of my late grandfather that introduced me early in life to that genre.

Pretty coolhttp://www.trademarkia.com/company-cedar-fair-lp-222594-page-1-2 It's pretty cool to see the different trademarks that they have applied for in the last little while. Time will tell if any of these are a clue.

The reviews that I have read on the Reds Hall of Fame Grille sounds amazing! I'll have to check it out next time I'm at the park!

Move One Ride from Anywhere in the Country to KI
Hoeter replied to MarketingExpress's topic in Coming Attractions
You can bring up Incredible Hulk from Universal's Islands of Adventure and I wouldn't mind a bit! My first Beemer, it got me pumped to ride Diamondback. Seriously the launch on that thing blows Flight of Fear right out of the water
