Could someone list off a few specific songs that were played at Playlist Live! this year so I have a good idea what kind of material to use for an audition?
-
If I seem to be asking redundant questions on this, its because I'm being thorough. I hope to get something together by then to audition.
-
Is the information on the Kings Island website correct that they'll also be holding auditions next weekend as well (November 14-16)? https://www.visitkingsisland.com/events/things-to-do/events-and-promotions/Kings-Island-Auditions

I think Soak City could use another slide tower complex to help disperse the lines from the other slides.

Winterfest Wishes and Ideas- A Way to Bring It Back

You could also make the argument that the park would also be competing against college basketball and minor league hockey around here as well, and there's plenty of interest in those events, plus they're indoors. I agree a lot with Terpy's and goodyellowkorn182's assessments, its not coming back anytime soon. -
What is on your off-season improvement list?

Maybe they'll use TombRaiderFTW's handy dandy Firehawk instruction manual. http://www.KICentral.com/forums/index.php/topic/21765-random-photo-of-the-day/page-177#entry589419 silve2005, cross-threading. -
When it opened, it had really uncomfortable overhead restraints instead of the lap bars, which weren't put in place until 2001. It also opened with 6 car trains, but later dropped to 5 cars. And what do you mean by ours not being the original? Kings Island's and Kings Dominion's were the first LIM launch coasters ever, including the original for the layout.

I spy a KIC member in the 2 millionth Banshee rider photo. Photo courtesy of Kings Island's Facebook page. https://www.facebook.com/visitkingsisland/photos/a.226729858367.174830.155893938367/10153249822628368/?type=1 EDIT: I spot 2 KIC members.

I think I enjoyed finally conquering Xtreme Skyflyer over Banshee. Banshee is one of my favorite rides, but its, at the very least, similar to other rides I've done before. I knew a little bit of what to expect. With Skyflyer, it was radically different than what I'm used to in drop rides. I feel significantly safer on rides like Drop Tower since there are fail safes in place, like a giant magnet at the bottom should it fall early plus you have the restraints. Skyflyer is just so open and all you have on is that vest. That's a reason I really enjoy riding water slides, you have nothing to ride in and secure yourself to. All Skyflyer has is that harness and the really long chord on which you swing from.

^Oh wow, you and I inadvertently rode in the same train then.

Repave the parking lot and for next year, make the crews more consistent across the park instead of having only a few of the newer and/or more popular rides get the 'good' crews. -
Well, I finally found the imposter noodle at PBS. Its kind of hidden from the main gates at PBS, on the street corner across from the practice field. I would like to officially name said noodle- #JonathanImpasta

So what did you ride the most times this year?
silver2005 replied to Miythandria's topic in Kings Island
If I had to guess, my top rides for this would be Racer, Banshee, Beast, Vortex and Diamondback. In that order. -
I believe the current wait time now for all attractions is 6 months, barring unforeseen events. Welcome to the off-season.
-
I believe this song perfectly fits the end of a given amusement park season. So, I encourage you to sit back, relax, take some deep breaths, remember fondly the season that has just transpired, and let the music do the rest. Claude Debussy's Clair de Lune Also, a big thanks is in order to Cedar Fair and Kings Island. This was an awesome season!

^I'd probably be legitimately afraid to ride it, assuming the ride worked. I wouldn't trust them with a merry-go-round.

YouTube commenters make Facebook look intelligent by comparison. Just sayin'.

Is it just me or does the concept art show one of the pods on Woodstock Gliders about to be snapped?

I rather like the additions. Sure, it isn't our original Flying Scooters, but its better than none. As for Starbucks replacing a souvenir shop, there are other big places for that already on I-Street including Emporium which is huge. I don't get why Starbucks needs all that space though. The original location seemed pretty adequate and didn't look in need of being bigger.
-
So what's happening to the old Starbucks location?

I give up. Elaborate... During Six Flags' tenure at Darien Lake, they had closed Six Flags Astroworld. Many rides were dispersed through the chain including a few coasters. One of which was an Intamin stand up coaster, known there as Batman: The Escape, which has made its way through the chain including Magic Mountain and NJFTP. I believe it, along with the Togo made Ultra Twister which went to SFA, were damaged while they were moved. Six Flags never got around to building it, and ever since, its been in a field by Darien Lake.

Rides and Slides 2015
silver2005 replied to Spectrum91's topic in Other Amusement Parks & Industry News
There are several other rides opening or re-opening at Kentucky Kingdom for 2015 besides T3. -
This just in from Don on Facebook.

To me, the only way to make stand ups 'comfortable' is to limit the size, or make things really drawn out making for potentially boring rides. The bigger ones can be hard on people's legs. To me, its also a bit more difficult to maintain body control standing up in the types of restraints they have to use.
