  2. Maybe when they're done with the dinos, they could turn it into a 'tiques path!
  3. I still say that they looked at it, and decided it didn't look right having that big slab of concrete instead of the pavers that now run all the way up to it in CM.
  4. Days of Thunder in the FX Theatre was an AWESOME attraction. I rode (experienced?) it during it's opening year. The lines were huge, but it was such an immersive, I guess you could call it, attraction.
  5. Anyone else find it amazing how the top of WS lines up perfectly with the horizon (on KI's second webcam)?
  6. ....Oh, darn! It just wouldn't be right if I did it!...
  7. I sincerely hope you're right!
  8. According to statistics, the drive to the park should be the scariest ride!
  9. Wonder what the heck they're doing with the restroom...
  10. There soon won't be? I hope not! I will hopefully be around a lot longer, with memory intact, and still want to visit! Yes, hopefully!! What I was thinking is that the people, say, 30 and younger...Will things like Top Gun, the current Action Zone, etc. be enough to want to keep going to KI for the next few decades? If all you know of KI is from the last 20 years or less, I wonder if it seems as spectacular as it did to those who knew it when it was new(er)?
  11. It may be pure coincidence, but just in the last couple days, this camera angle has been moved to the right by a good margin: http://www.artimis.org/camera/camera92.php
  12. I've never thought of this before, but how does a park, or a company like Cedar Fair know that people will want to ride something like WindSeeker?
  13. Sheesh, does anyone else think that WindSeeker would be a plenty enough exciting and thrilling ride...at the height it is now?
  14. ^Wow, do I notice that a lot when I'm in line for a ride! "Oh, you can do this, come on, you can do it!". I'm not saying if it's good or bad, but I do notice it a lot.
  15. I would like to add another thought, too. Kings Island's reputation was built, if you will, on the "foundation" of extensively detailed and themed attractions and areas like LCS. It makes me a little worried that there soon won't be too many people that will remember things like Lion Country Safari (and still want to visit KI all the time). Does Kings Island still offer (and did it in the last couple decades) what it takes to make current and future generations think of Kings Island as an institution like those that still remember "old" Kings Island?
  16. Great job, really interesting! Some of those pics are mine...wish I could remember it, though!
  17. I've seen a lot of guys in ties in that area for a few days...wonder if a decision was made to put down pavers...I thought all along pavers should run right up to the ride site...maybe they thought the same.
  18. I do wish their was one on the "adult" side of the park. One of the most underrated and, probably, overlooked rides (as far as thrill seekers go) in the park.
  19. I want a Dinosaurs Alive! T-shirt. KIFan, who, for one reason or another, doesn't always go with the crowd (but bets there will be crowds at Dinosaurs Alive! this summer).
  20. That view from I-71 i'snt the best view to see WindSeeker. Heck you can hardly see anything going on at Kings Island that far away. The park did say on Facebook they were going to add a second webcam soon to show the whole construction. Maybe not, but I think it's really neat to see the park like that in real time. That's the view of the park I have on my way there! However, I think that WindSeeker, when it get some height, will be viewable from that angle, if that is indeed Racer's turnaround on the left hand side.
  21. I said it about Diamondback, and I'm going to say it about Dinosaurs Alive: I think that, at this point in time, it's a FANTASTIC addition to the park, and something it really needed. I'm 37, and have no kids, but I'm really looking forward to walking through this thing. I've never seen anything even remotely like it. I would even like to see a refreshment stand/souvenir shop somewhere on the route. **edit** and a restroom!!
  22. Vertical progress of WindSeeker may be viewable at this link: http://www.artimis.org/camera/camera92.php
  23. Now, that's a queue!
