  1. My vote is for Blue Streak. It feels a little more rough than Racer on the airtime and on the drops. Ever since I rode Voyage at Holiday World, I've liked my woodies a LITTLE more violent.
  2. I have. When they first built them they would scroll up and down like that. Then it stopped working for some reason the past years. It seems like they fixed them all again. Just another little thing the maintenance team is doing to keep this park awesome! Keep it up! I noticed that when I was there Saturday.. I was like, WHAA??.. "THE SIGN IS MOVING!!" I got SO many weird looks..
  3. I've been to Kings Island 17 times this year, and Cedar Point 5 times (actually, 7 days!), and I ain't done yet! I cherish my platinum pass.
  4. I FREAKING LOVE YOUR AVATAR. millennium force is my baby.

  5. I'm going to have to agree with Zach here. You're pretty much paying for half an hour of extra ERT. I pack food and drinks in a cooler so I don't pay park prices either. I've already been on The Beast walkback and they barely took us past the first hill. The sign shop sounds interesting, but not enough to want to pay to see it. And I always get last rides on DB at 10 anyway.. where are all the benefits of this event?
  6. I'm a coaster pro at 46 coasters.. 18 of those were added this year. I've been on 33 steel and 13 wood at 6 amusement parks. w00t! I would have gone to more parks, but I've fallen madly in love with Holiday World and Cedar Point, and I try to get there as much as possible.
  7. I agree. I always say that a coaster doesn't have to be the tallest or the fastest to be great. I always get air on that thing, it's in my top 5 woodies. So many people walk right by Old Blue because it sits in Raptor's shadow.. it's sad.
  8. I'm almost 100% sure I saw Terp in line for Dragster on Cedar Point closing day last year. I don't know.. I just had a feeling it was him, but I'll never tell.
  9. AE is really only fun at night, IMO. I'm totally with DiamondbackLover on the ride list suggestions, except for Invertigo. Invertigo is an ear beater and will give you a horrendous headache.. so will Vortex. I am surprised no one has mentioned Racer.. it's a classic, fun woodie with some sweet airtime. My list for you would be Diamondback, Drop Tower, Racer, Flight of Fear, Backlot Stunt Coaster. Slingshot is pretty awesome if you ask me, kick your feet at the top and you can get the cage to spin like crazy. And you must get a blue ice cream cone.. that stuff is the shiz and it's practically a KI tradition. When are you going? We'll be more than happy to show you around the park.. us KICers can be a lot of fun!
  10. Vortex's OTSRs are horrible. No matter where I ride, I always come off with a pounding headache.. that coaster has gotten too rough for my liking. Like I've said before, if I'm going to come off an Arrow coaster in pain, I'd MUCH rather ride Magnum XL-200.
  11. At least she wasn't all up on my Millie.. I'd have to take my earrings out and kick her ***!
  12. Raven at Holiday World.. it's short and sweet, but that thing flies and guess what? NO TRIM BRAKES!
  13. I'm glad you enjoyed Millie and Raptor! Those are my two favorites at CP. I love Maverick, Magnum and Blue Streak too.. I try not to go to CP without riding any of the five I just mentioned, but I could lap Millie and/or Raptor all day and be one happy girl! Next time you go though, you must ride maXair.. IMO it blows Delirium out of the water. And if you want a spectacular view of the park and surrounding lake, ride the Giant Wheel as the sun is setting. I fell madly in love with CP on my first visit two years ago, and have not shut up about it ever since.
  14. If by that you mean exiting the park to walk on or lay on the beach, or take a swim in the water, yes, you can come and go as much as you like. I do it all the time when I go to CP.. the cold Erie water is so refreshing on the bare feet especially on a blazing hot day. The hand stamp they give you as you exit will not wash off in the water.. many people exit to go swimming, jet skiing or parasailing and then re-enter the park.
  15. Zach, with all due respect, I was indeed arguing with you, but I was trying not to do it in a way that would get you mad at me. Millie has a special place in my heart thanks to memory after memory of it with my friends from CP last summer, and my dad. It was also my reason for my first trip to CP, and the first coaster I rode there. I love the fact that it's ferociously tall, has a gut wrenching drop, and there are no trims or MCBR to ruin it or slow down its outrageous, eye-watering speed of 93 mph. Everyone has an opinion, and aside from agreeing to disagree, I must say that NOTHING. WILL. EVER. top Voyage. Speaking of wild mice, Roadrunner Express at SFKK really surprised Tom and I.. we got AIRTIME on a freaking WILD MOUSE! It was totally unexpected. I get laughed at constantly because BLSC is one of my favorite rides at KI.
  16. Tell me how, in seat 2:1, I flew up out of my seat on both hills and the bunny hill then. Say what you will, but I straight up flew up and hit the lap bar on all three hills. Oh and by the way, comparing MF to DB is laughable.. it's like comparing Vortex to Raptor.. they are two COMPLETELY different ride experiences. DB is more comparable to Magnum.
  17. Millie does have an ejector seat. Ride in seat 2:1, seriously, just try it. I got Tom in that seat and it shot up to his #1 steel coaster. The reason Raptor's crew is a little pushy is because they are competing with Magnum for best ride capacity, I know because I am friends with one of the crew members. I understand if they get a little irritated because these tween girls spend like 20 minutes trying to find their friends and their flip flops in the station. Nobody seems to understand "drop and go." I really don't mind because that coaster throws trains out so ridiculously fast and the line just never, ever stops moving. Best capacity I've ever seen on any coaster at any park I've been to. The capacity on Raptor is unreal.. not once have I ever seen stacked trains.
  18. "Sorry Beast, you are no longer my #1 woodie. The Voyage took me away and blew my mind." - LOVE IT!!

  19. If I had to narrow my list down, it would most certainly be Voyage, with Raptor running a very close second.
  20. I don't blame you. That is disgusting. Last year I saw a kid next to me spit at the top of Drop Tower, and one kid and his friend were throwing Skittles from the top (you better believe I yelled at them!). Some people really need to discipline their children.
  21. At Holiday World: Voyage At Cedar Point: Millennium Force, Maverick, Raptor, Skyscraper At Kings Island: Diamondback, Drop Tower, Slingshot At Six Flags Kentucky Kingdom: Greezed Lightnin
  22. The Giant Wheel at CP was actually what made me get over my fear of Ferris wheels. I'd ridden in one when I was little, where you could swing the seats back and forth, oh no, I did NOT like that.. especially since it was one of those ones where they pick a random seat to wildly swing back and forth at the top.. of course they pick ours. There were no safety belts on the doors or the seats, and I nearly fell out. I got on the Giant Wheel at CP last year because I wanted the view even though I wasn't happy about getting on a Ferris wheel. I liked that they use a certain loading method to keep the wheel balanced. I also like that there are safety belts on the doors and the seats. And if you rock the seat, the ride ops yell at you. I feel very safe on Giant Wheel.. not to mention if you ride it as the sun is starting to set, the view from the top is too breathtaking to describe.
  23. I would not ride Vortex if it only had lap bars. That would almost certainly result in severe whiplash. Years ago, when Vortex was less rough, it was one of the first coasters I'd run to. I rode it yesterday and came off with a terrible headache.. at least Magnum XL-200 is worth a little pain.. IMO, Vortex is not.
