  1. ^^^ & ^ I can vouch that they are at SFStL--or, at the very least, were at SFStL as of last July. They're in a nice little messy pile with Mega Zeph's trains underneath the brake run of Batman: The Ride. Yep, a pile. If I had to guess, they're being raided for parts for Boss' trains. I really hope that isn't the closest I ever get to riding Mega Zeph, but I realize my chances of ever riding that ride are increasingly slim. I'm pretty sure that also was my favorite part of that Batman: The Ride.
  2. No you don't. Concrete and steel do. TRFTW, running for the door.
  3. ^ Wasn't quite "Sinking of the S.S. Gator" bad, but I did have to sit sideways in my seat to avoid wet shoes. Next to Monster Plantation, I think SFStL's Scooby dark ride is my favorite operating dark ride.
  4. Like Boomerang Bay? In no way am I a fan boy about Boomerang Bay. Sure, I like Boomerang Bay, I may allude to it, but do I get all "<caps>hey buddy, you can't say that, you're stupid!</caps>". That's just stupid. I don't disown other's ideas, I embrace them and look at their stand point. I don't go all "YoungStud" on people, I just use BB occasionally for reference, and I like it. Shall I call everyone else who is an enthusiast, a fan boy now under your logic? No, that's stupid, that is almost being worse than a fan boy. I like BB, but at the same time, I like SC too. Which, I guess you didn't know that I like SC as well, so wouldn't that make me not a fan boy anyways? Look at the context, and look at some of my posts, I am in no way a fan boy, I am an enthusiast, something I am proud to be. BB1, an enthusiast of the waterpark at Kings Island, nothing more, nothing less. I can never understand anything you say, BB1. You jump around topics and contradict yourself so much, it's almost as if you're trying to leave your opinions as ambiguous as possible." '<caps>hey buddy, you can't say that, you're stupid!</caps>'. That's just stupid. I don't disown other's ideas." And then... "Shall I call everyone else who is an enthusiast, a fan boy now under your logic? No, that's stupid." Not to mention you allude to Boomerang Bay more than just "occasionally." What I was doing there was mending the idea of an fan boy, and an enthusiast, something I think has merged on this site. Occasionally, yes, once in a good number of posts I will refer to Boomerang Bay, but only out of relevance if I could. Sometimes the posting style, tells the tone of the post, in fact, I tend to tinker around with my tones with my posts. Though, I would use an adjective to ambiguous to describe a few of my posts, not all are really, as you state, ambiguous. Tell me, if I say "I hope that the color will be darker", is that being ambiguous? Yes, I can be cryptic, and sometimes I do state that, but I am blunt to the point when I have an topic of discussion, that needs not any kind of pun. If I were to use a pun, then it would break my logos. Though, if I use a pun a certain way, I could easily make a spoof of the subject, making myself look like a man of logic, and the jester's court. I would debate my point further, but I feel like such an debate would take away from the matter at hand, Action Zone's Circle, something that the topic was supposed to be about. When I did see the last webcam shot, I did notice dirt, and some sort of concrete. Hopefully we could see a definite shape by the middle of the month, more likely the middle-end of March. I realize you like to add character to your posts--which isn't a crime--but this actually doesn't make sense. Like, at all. I don't think I'm the only one who thinks so, either. I don't know if it actually was your intent to come across this way, but when you make these kinds of posts, then make posts about how you talk in your own way or something, it kinda comes across as egotistically hedonistic (if there isn't a better term for that.) When you add in stuff about "the supreme BB1" or, paraphrased, about it being a pleasure to meet you in real life, it really propagates a bad image that I don't think you mean to create for yourself. I've seen you make posts before that actually contributed to conversation (e.g. your posts after you took your hiatus), and I did enjoy them. I can't tell you what to do, but I hope you'll take this seriously as a friendly request to return to those types of posts. Now, since jdawg1998 said it: the Action Zone circle. I really don't think anything special's going on there. Come opening day, I'm fully expecting some pavers with a drain in the middle of them for rainwater. The end.
  5. Best side dish: GoodYellowKorn Runner up: corn4ahead
  6. Do tell. I love SFStL and very much enjoyed their dark ride, even though our boat was definitely taking on water.
  7. ...Guilty. Particularly CoasterBob62's videos. Especially the one taken during the GOCC tour on closing day. Dat Adventure Express sound...
  8. Fury is clearly the name of Kings Island's new dark ride. The ride will be an interactive, immersive chronicling the removal of the Flying Eagles. (Disclaimer: This is a joke. I don't know anything about Cedar Fair's trademarking of the name Fury. Please don't post about this on social media like it's something to be taken seriously, because it's not. Thanks.)
  9. It would be neat to see season passes usable via the Passbook app, but not as a replacement for plastic passes. It could be a backup.
  10. ^ No no no no. You were supposed to say: Hmm and hmm Hmm and hmm There's a hmm hmm flowing Hmm and hmm

  12. ^^ It's a song. I was trying to think of some way to respond involving the lyrics of the song, but there's really no way to do that without coming across like a complete creep.
  13. I think I'm turning Japanese. (I really think so.)
  14. Out of mere curiosity, Terp, do you know what her investments would have involved? I really have no purpose in asking, apart from wondering what Kentucky Kingdom could have been. I very much enjoy Mindbender and Monster Plantation (MP is VASTLY underrated in the enthusiast community--its eyes-in-the-fog effect does more for me than BBoBH's ever did) so I'm wondering what she had in mind for KK.
  15. Apart from the Cedar Fair quarterly reports (which only vaguely mention that Cedar Fair will use in-park television at some point), I haven't heard anything. The in-park television at Six Flags mainly just has advertisements--both for Six Flags itself and SIX's corporate partners. Occasionally, I've seen little 30-second games you can join in with your cell phone, but for some reason I only remember seeing that at SFStL and not SFOG, SFGAm, SFFT, or SFGAdv. Here's hoping FUN's in-park TV entertainment is more than that.
  16. ^ It's probably somehow related to an Amercan.
  17. ^^ It's funny that you'd mention something to him in French when you're definitely missing a cédille. Français. Somewhat on topic: is anyone else noticing a significant number of folks online that don't realize The Bat is not a new ride? There seem to be several of them on most popular social media sites. On an awkward other hand: I once saw a post on Tumblr shortly after The Bat announcement that was trying to disillusion us to the fact that Flight Deck was just the original Bat in the first place. They'd been fooling folks for thirty years. Yeah.
  18. The dislike for Stricker's scooters surprises me a little bit. Of the flying scooters I've ridden*, that set seemed closest to Kings Island's than any of the others. You want a sad set of scooters? Go ride the ones at the Columbus Zoo. Slowest set I've ever been on; I'm convinced it would be impossible to snap them. In case you somehow manage to defy physics, they've got hard stops (apart from the normal ones) that limit the angle range you can move the rudder in. Snore. *Disclaimer: I've been on Holiday World's, Camden Park's, Conneaut's, Kings Dominion's, Columbus Zoo's, and, of course, Kings Island's and Stricker's Grove's. Unfortunately, I've never been to Carowinds, so I haven't ridden Kings Island's for what I'd estimate to be about 15 years, and I don't remember them extremely well apart from the snapping. (Yes, I know they left 10 years ago. I didn't go to KI very much back then.) I haven't been to Knoebels, either, but that may change this summer. So maybe my perspective on scooters will change? EDIT: On that note... no, it doesn't make much business sense, but I'm 100% with Shaggy. Bring back the Bisch-Rocco flying scooters from Carowinds!
  19. Took Ride On_17's quiz... Got INFP. Again. Unlike the last Briggs-Myers-lookalike quiz I took, I was pretty strongly introverted, intuitional, feeling, and perceiving. As in 75% or more in each category. The last quiz had me almost equally introverted and extroverted. Anyway, the description: Philosopher You are an idealist. You are loyal to your values and the people who are important to you. You hope you can live in a world which could exactly match your own value. You are very curious about the world. You can always find more possibilities and drive yourself and other people to make these ideas come true. You try to understand other people and help them to maximize their potential. When there is nothing threatening your own value, you are quite flexible and good at accepting other people.
  20. AZ Kinda Guy: Did Wonderland's BLSC not receive the same change at that time? I know I saw pictures of the new fiberglass at Kings Dominion, but I don't know about Wonderland.
  21. Once upon a time, my springs, summers, and falls were mostly spent on anything and everything in Rivertown. Anymore, all those seasons are pretty much spent in Oktoberfest and Coney Mall.
  22. The whole thing's a clue. Combined with the O'Terpy tombstone, it's obvious AZ going to be themed to The Interpeter. It will look exactly like Great Adventure. (There, I helped.)
  23. I feel like I've seen a chain there before, within the past 6 years. It hasn't been for a while, though. Maybe Don can straighten this out?
  24. There's a decent chance I'll make my first Knoebels visit this year. I'm curious to experience that park, because my outsider's impression of the park makes a Eurofighter seem very, very out of place. EDIT: Correction! It's not a Gerstlauer Eurofighter at all. It's a Zierer coaster like Wicked at Lagoon, except with a vertical lift, according to Knoebels' Twitter (@KozmoKG): A link to the tweet.EDIT again: DERP. The original post definitely says that it's a Zierer ride. Redundant post is redundant!
  25. Those really aren't debates, though. There's no subjectivity involved. Either you used the right your/you're or their/there/they're or to/too/two/tutu, or you didn't. Footers/footings, on the other hand, don't seem to have agreed-upon definitions differentiating the terms (that I'm aware of.) THAT would be an actual debate. On that note: has anyone actually ever witnessed a footers/footings argument? I've been around here for almost 5.5 years, and I've never actually seen a debate about that. It's this thing that everyone says is going to happen every off-season, but it never does. Maybe it's just part of the off-season ritual to mention it? I feel like I've seen more debates about Surf Dog's classification (or lack thereof) as a roller coaster than anything else each off-season.
