Honestly, I don’t think they should open anymore coasters. Winterfest is a not about rides. I can do that the rest of the year. I enjoy the holiday activities and shows. I’ve been twice and rode MT once and Zephyr once. That’s it. I’ve enjoyed all the Winterfest activities and atmosphere. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

I heard they may be burying some fossils.

What is the minimum temperature for MT during WF?

I would say probably not. Then again I’m not going to Winterfest to ride coasters. Go enjoy the Winterfest activities. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk -

Start up temp for MT is 35 degrees, but can run in lower temps once it’s running. I’m thinking he said maybe 25, but doubt people would even ride it at that temp. This was said at the ACE Ohio Holiday party by Don. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk -
You know you can go to Dollywood to ride a Gerstlauer Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Not sure what happened. Somehow it decided to quote you. LOL I removed it.

Here, read this article. It simplifies the single rider scenario and may be easier to understand. You do not wait any longer in line due to there being a single rider line. Actually, when Diamondback had a single rider line it chewed through the queue. http://www.ocregister.com/2016/06/24/robert-niles-do-single-rider-lines-help-shorten-lines-at-disneyland-and-other-theme-parks/

I'm hoping to pick up a Jerry Dowling 25th Anniversary print somewhere to frame with these tickets. No luck so far. (Image from cincyillustrators.blogspot.com) Anyone know of one for sale. Not seeing anything online.

I thought I would share this. An old friend from school was going through his stuff and found these. He said he thought I would appreciate these instead of throwing them away. 4 unused Dry Run day tickets for the 25th anniversary season. Now I just need to get them framed for my office. Way cool. That would be a start temp. Once it’s running it can go much lower. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

I like how they partitioned off the closed areas with the little trees. If my memory serves correct, they did that back in the original Winterfest as well.

A lot more than that is gone. -
Tripods and monopods are not permitted in the park for non media per security. You will need to have it arranged through the park if you want to bring in a tripod or monopod. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

The food at Winterfest was great tonight, except for one thing. It was the one thing I was really wanting. Poutine. Chef Nate missed the memo that Poutine does not have shredded cheese on it. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Not sure if it has been answered in this thread or another. I did check with the park and you are allowed to leave and renter the park. So it is not like Haunt where once you leave you can’t re-enter. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

KI Computer Systems that create the KI Best Day

Which is now owned by Oracle. I guarantee once those licensing fees start rising CF will switch to something better. I would guess and say something AWS based. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk -
Other things have hurt HW in the last season that is more damaging than KK. From what I have heard circulating, things may not be so hunky dory in Santa Claus, IN. I'm sure there are a couple of vultures just waiting for the chance to snatch it up. I honestly think someone will end up buying the park from the Koch family. I have 2 educated guesses to who I think would be interested. 1) Cedar Fair Why? Potential - The Koch family still owns a ton of undeveloped land around the park but lack the capital to develop it like a CF or SF. CF could expand the park and build hotels and other amenities to increase attendance and capital. Midwest Dominance in the amusement park industry. It would probably be the death nail for KK, but it would severely hamper Six Flags dominance in the MO, IL, and Western IN, and KY market. Six Flags only has 2 parks in the midwest (St. Louis and Great America). Consumers would have a better value with a CF Platinum pass which would work at six parks in the region compared to two parks for Six Flags. 2) Ed Hart Why? Kentucky is landlocked and has a height restriction that hampers the ability to install more rides and taller rides. This hurts growth. HW is his biggest competitor in the area. If Hart owned both parks he could create a small chain which would allow him to add a "premium" pass for access to both parks. This would generate more attendance and capital and allow the chain to grow. The KK/HW chain would control the area and then would have to up the game to complete with SF and CF

As far as MT shed changing, it’s possible that WF themed programming already exist. Just need to switch it over. We shall see on 11/24. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
