Because most were taught not to damage other people’s property?? Yes, it comes off, but you are defacing private property. The park spends a lot of money to build a brand and market it. That includes scenery and such. When someone comes in and starts defacing that brand with chalk they are damaging the brand. Also, the he park now has to spend money to have an employee to clean it up. Can I come to your house and draw all over it with chalk? It will come off. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

New Roller Coaster in Columbus...
Oldschool75 replied to Existential's topic in Other Amusement Parks & Industry News
Yes, they're installing a UniCoaster, but look at the overall investment of $2 Billion for the whole complex. The site is as big as KI and who is to say they don't add more rides? This appears to be a direct shot at CF. With CF's new sports complex and their plans on making CP a destination vacation spot, as well as KI being in the southern part of the state, this company is trying to split the markets and poach business from both. This would be a situation to watch very closely to see how CF responds. -
I see a couple of familiar faces on that box. Lol Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Ugh, had me excited for a minute when I saw the thread title in my feed, only to see it was from 2007. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk -

I think consumer behavior has changed 10 fold as far as cell phone usage. They are glued to their phones to take photos, videos, Instagram, Snapchat, FB, I can keep going on. It’s a problem that is growing at an accelerated rate. People are so glued to their phones that they are putting themselves at risk of getting hit by cars, causing traffic accidents, not paying attention to important information, walking into things... and possibly falling though roller coaster queues. People need to learn how to disconnect for a while. GOD forbid we have an EMP or something that would knock out electronics. Half these people would have no clue how to function. As far has souvenir cups, I think the park has taken the correct step by offering the cupless plan to reduce the number of cups being toted around. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

You must have received a better one then mine. The onion rings were burnt, the burger was the old lunchroom patty, the chicken was over cooked and the hot dog I didn’t attempt. Besides this instance I’ve been happy with food this year. Definitely improved since last year. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

I honestly think KI needs to raze the existing front gate, ticket booth, pass processing center, and old pass entrance. Build a brand new optimized front gate. I think they can still keep the element of surprise with a tall gate, but the current gate served its purpose in its day, time to replace it. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

All good here. Thank you Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Holy broken neck Batman! Here is something I threw together. If we see a Giga in the back of the park, I think they will probably set up the station in a configuration close to this.

I can’t log in either. It keeps telling me my password is wrong, yet I just logged in via a web browser on my phone.

I think it will come down to making it an assault charge which is a felony if an item on you comes loose during a ride and hits someone. Maybe after someone is charged with a felony and incarcerated or heavily fined that these people will wake up. Right now Ride ops just kinda ignore it. All I’ve heard is put the phone away. They should be contacting security right away. No verbal warning should be given since there are signs that are warnings. In fact someone on this forum was struck with a phone just the other day. It’s getting ridiculous Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Kinda the idea I had at one point. It would help open that area up some. After thinking about it, I think opening that area up for some flats would be better.

I spent more at Winterfest last year than I did the whole regular season. If I get free admission with a Gold pass, I'll gladly pay for the little add-ons here and there at Winterfest. Oh, I understand. I just saw that post from way back then and chuckled how everything changed.

Oh how times have changed. LOL

I’d rather deal with that then being hit in the face with a phone. Amen to that! Someone could be employed full time scouting YouTube for illegal POVs. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

As Mr. Dylan said “The Times they are a-changin” Question is, how? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Lol, I was about to post it since it’s now public. I think it will help tremendously with staffing issues the park has had. Now if they can just get the city of Mason to go along with it. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

With this extension of the Gold pass and the push for sales of drink cups with the enticement of winning free tickets, it appears that KI is looking to increase some extra capital this season to spend on something. I wonder for what??? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

I can confirm the photos....of some gentlemen taking a quiet walk in the back of the park.

That is incorrect. Greg Scheid is Regional Vice President of Ohio Markets for Cedar Fair. Mike Koontz is VP and GM of Kings Island Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
