  1. I read an online article once, can't remember where, but one of the comments was made by a father who said that he would never take his children to KI because it is very dangerous. He said he'd rather buy a trampoline. Yeah right, the day that a roller coaster is more dangerous than a trampoline is the day that Brett Favre retires. In other words, NEVER!
  2. I'm leaving for KD tonight, and will be there tomorrow 4-close, Friday open-3, and Saturday open-3. As far as rides, I'm on my 43rd coaster, so I'm going to make either Dominator or Volcano my 50th. The other one that's not my 50th will be the first thing I ride. As far as my opinion, I'd go with Dominator as my 50th because I've never ridden a floorless coaster and it looks pretty awesome. But Volcano gets better reviews, so I'm kind of stuck. Any opinions? Other than those, the other coaster's I want to ride are Shockwave, Anaconda, Avalanche, Grizzly, Hurler, Rebel Yell (both), Ricochet, and I guess I'll ride Flight of Fear and Backlot so I'll have ridden every coaster there, seeing as I've already ridden SDGC and Taxi Jam. As for flats, the Crypt, Berserker, Drop Tower, Eagles (for bringing back good memories), Eiffel Tower (get a good view of the construction site), and possibly El Dorado, Americana, or the water rides. Are those all the good rides? And what should crowds be like?
  3. I'll be going the Sunday of Labor Day Weekend. It will most likely be very crowded, but hey. It's better than not going at all.
  4. I've had different experiences. Both times I went up to the Point this year ID has been closed for at least a day. Oh well, doesn't bother me. I got my credit in 2005. Chances are I won't be riding that any time soon.
  5. The ride is called Danny Phantom's Flyers. I think that's the correct name. And also, on the Zamperla's, isn't there something that you're actually laying on with your stomach, like the Flyers?
  6. ^I made it so you could vote for more than one.
  7. I may be going there later this summer. I can't wait to ride Afterburn and Vortex. Those look like the two best rides. I love B&M's and I also love stand up coasters.
  8. What happened to the "Terpy should be a moderator" thread in the polls? Was that deleted?

    New Coaster?

I was saying ridewise. CF seems to have invested a lot in WoF. Where is the new Schlitterbahn?
  10. Take out a good looping coaster in a park that only has 3 other looping rides. REALLY awesome...I like Mantis. Nope. I'm up for it!

    New Coaster?

^Valleyfair! and Worlds of Fun are already for sale. I can understand Valleyfair! but Worlds of Fun seems like a good park. They've got a hyper, B&M Invert, GCI Woodie, and some other good rides. Wouldn't a park like Michigan's Adventure or even Dorney be more suitable than Worlds of Fun?
  12. Nice PTR. Good pictures. I guess Kat should have seen the "don't wear your earrings" sign. I love Maverick. #1 Steel coaster for me.
  13. ^I noticed how Thunder Run's trains we much cushier than my beloved Ohio trains.
  14. My personal favorite is Trail of Terror. It was a lot of fun. By the way, can any of you guys read Coaster Kid's Boomerang Bay Ride List? It might just be me cause I'm color blind.

    New Coaster?

If Cedar Fair ever went bankruptor for some reason had to sell some of their parks, I think as arguably the second best/ best Cedar Fair park, we'd be safe. Unless they went for the cities like Charlotte and Toronto...
  16. I was in Pigeon Forge over spring break. Didn't go to Dollywood, but I did go to WonderWorks, and it was pretty sweet. The Extreme 360 Bike was down. But they had a simulator that flips a lot. You should go there. Also, as far as go karts go, I like the Adventure Raceway. Zorbing sounded fun, but we went to the Zorbing site and it was just a giant dirt hill. I wasn't tall enough to do the dry zorbing. $40 for 15 seconds of Zorbing just doesn't really seem worth it...
  17. ^True, but hey. Rustbelt went to Everland. Just wondering if someone had gone to Japan, made a side stop there.
  18. Knowing that this was the only other gigacoaster besides Millie, I was wondering if anyone had ridden it. I saw the POV and I personally think it looks amazing. Filled with airtime, the helices look sweet. Has anyone here ridden it? If so, what are your opinions?
  19. Galaxi is actually the same thing as Bavarian Beetle, if you didn't know that.
  20. I don't need you to tell me what I already know. Adventure Express is 90% wood. Just not the track. Not need to get all fancy with it. Adventure Express is classified as a STEEL roller coaster! The track is made of steel. The supports how ever, are made of wood. Supports have no effect on the classification of the ride. It doesn't matter if you use steel, wood, plastic, Styrofoam, play-dough, or basketballs & glue. Even though most of those are a bad alternative, it is still true. This is like the 50th time I have had to explain this on and off these boards! Thank you for having some class. BUT the supports are 99% of it when you look at the ride. That's why people mistake it (including me) as a wooden roller coaster. Key word there: MISTAKE! And by the way everytime you say "YA BURNT!!" you're not burning everyone, you're burning yourself.
  21. Good PTR. Not too long, which is always nice. A lot has changed since 2006. So is Diamondback your favorite?
  22. ^Isn't that from a show or movie? I could have sworn I've heard that. And I wasn't talking about you.
  23. My thoughts: Pro's: Six inversions Catches you by surprise. Con's: G's are way too strong. Can't even see anything. Head restraints are VERY tight. Not very smooth. Gives me a headache and stiff neck every time I ride it. Only ride in the park that gives me a headache. Very short ride. Agree, really loud. Always has an insanely long line. Capacity is horrendous. Just my thoughts. It's my least favorite coaster. I mean, I know Little Bill's Giggle Coaster isn't good but I mean it doesn't have ^THAT^ many cons opposed to Pros.
  24. Especially when you can't even spell the word that you are trying to type right. By the way, I wouldn't call Giga a wimp. She's ridden Skyscraper, possibly one the most awesomest flat rides ever! And by the way Giga, I wouldn't exactly call Skyscraper or Slingshot spinning rides. I'd call them flipping rides.
