  1. Why? Don't like being told that you're wrong?
  2. Why would we need Sally to change our ride? They could simply paint over the Scooby Snacks boxes, disable the Scooby appearences, turn off lighting in the final scene, and remove any SD references not removed by doing the other things. And it would cost them much less than having Sally do it.
  3. I took my last pictures of SDatHC today. And a POV... *runs*
  4. Crossing the road that runs between the main lot and preferred/employee parking...
  5. Flight Commander: Your first ride could be your last. Top Gun: Your first ride could be your last. Son of Beast: Your first ride could be your last. Firehawk: Your first ride could be your last. Eiffel Tower: Your first ride could be your last. etc...
  6. Do you seriously think that enthusiasts just randomly picked SoB to hate and want to burn? The Beast may be rough, but it does not go the same speed as SoB, and therefore, the shuffling is not as painful.
  7. Here's KI's options: 1. Reopen the ride with no modifications made. 2. Overhaul the ride, including retracking, trim brakes, and reprofiling. 3. Remove the ride. Here are the pros of each: 1. Less money spent. 2. Could improve the ride experience. 3. The ride will no longer be a problem for the park. Here are the cons of each: 1. Will most likely cause a future lawsuit. 2. Expensive. 3. Could impact attendance.
  8. I guess some people do enjoy SoB, but I just can't see the park taking a gamble on keeping a ride that has injured that many riders. I would guess that there are quite a few people who were injured by the ride but just never thought of reporting it to the park. It'd be interesting to see how many guest complaints KI got per year about SoB.
  9. I can't seem to find exactly what the pre-existing condition that the park claims existed was, unfortunatly. I do know that, with the two broken necks that the ride caused, the riders both did have a particular type of arthritis, but the riders claim that their doctors said that they could safely ride wooden rollercoasters.
  10. I never did try riding it in the red train front seat, but it actually was kind of fun in that seat.
  11. According to various news sources, a man died due to blunt-force trauma after riding Son of Beast. The park claims that it was due to a pre-existing condition.
  12. I actually enjoyed the ride in that seat. If I had known that I were visiting KI on (apparently) SoB's last day ever, I would have ridden it one last time. By the way, I did like the lapbars. I didn't feel squashed in like I do in the PTC trains.
  13. No, it was the straw that broke the camel's back. I would guess that back in '06 they decided that if the ride continued to be an issue, it would be closed. After the '07 death and '09 incident, they and their insurance company probably decided to close the ride.
  14. For question #2, if "overhauled" means it was no longer causing blunt-force trauma, then I would be happy if it reopened. If it had the same results as past overhauls, then no, I wouldn't like to see that happen. Smooth or nothing.
  15. Excuse you? Someone doesn't agree with something that is not completely socially acceptable to a good deal of the American population, so you call them dumb and ignorant? I think that reflects on you more than anyone else.
  16. I really like Flight Deck and BLSC. Both are really, really fun.
  17. The "so does disney world" is almost as funny as CP having a clone of FOF.
  18. *coughFirehawk'salternatelinecough*
  19. And yes, I know that he's going to pull the TOS card. I really don't care.
  20. I really wish they had a schedule. I don't think they have them weekdays, last time I went on a weekday the announcements were still going off, but they didn't have the shows. (this was on 8/24)
