Kidding Right? No but I am only familiar w/ CP and KI. I think TTD and Maverick are well themed, espiecally for a seasonal park and DB is looking to be pretty good too. Now older attractions are an entirely diff story!

That splashdown is going to be gorgeous and those are some expensive materials too. I wonder if people will stop ragging on CF about their lack of theming?

I wonder if that was someone in corporate or who all bid on that. It gets me wondering what the workers think about riding DB. I think I would be extremely anxious but can imagine that some of them never want to see it again.

I keep getting excited about the transfer track moving. I know it's petty but it's just cool seeing one of DB's mechanic components being used.

^I agree completely! O-80 in 2 sec may be a faster rate of acceleration but 120 is just a lil more intense ... not to mention a top hat at 420 feet. TTD may be a one trick pony but it's a good one. I agree though that it does get old after a few rides.

It's like weather. You can know a whole lot about all the factors involved but who knows what will really happen.

Magnum is classic, maybe a bit rough but still a great ride. It's a perfect warm up. Make sure to get a couple rides on Raptor. It often has a very short line later in the day and is an incredible night ride.

That seems better because I like the idea of keeping the numbers down and not letting it become just a gold or platinum pass event. Thanks for clarifying.

If it's like other auctions, everyone that bids over 50 drops you down a slot so if there are 96 bids higher (or $50 that bid before yours) you would get bumped out.

I just want to say I think this is going to be an awesome event and I'll probably even come by myself and try to find some of you to hang out with. I think it's great that they even added KICentral to the list because we're starting to look like an official coaster enthusiast group oourselves. I am not upset at KI or anyone over the deadline just bummed that I overlooked it.

Same situation here. I have a friend I always go to parks with but we've both made some pretty heavy investments recently and $ is tight. I think we're both going to get CF Platinum Passes but I can't see him paying to join one of the other clubs also. Oh well, rules are rules and we'll just have to miss.

Not getting to the park last year gave me this recurring dream of being in the park...but it wasn't the park and I could find no coasters. I kept seeing SOB but it would be gone when I got to where I thought it was. One time I went over to Vortex and they were erecting Firehawk nearby and had taken down Vortex. A worker told me to just walk the path of Vortex cuz she always had a lot of fun doing it. Did I mention I'm an active dreamer?

Thanks for the video post! I hadn't seen it. As for mantis, your standing up and it often pivots horizontally. How could you not get jerked around some? It's part of the ride and very different than when done on a sit down. I didn't used to like it but now I ride in the front or back and find it quite fun. For me, Raptor's issue is entering the final break run not the MCBR. Diamondback however, I expect to be incredible smooth.

Those photos are fantastic... I feel like I should tip you! KI is really a quality park and your photos show it off well.

Makes you want to cry. At least some good came from it in that we have stricter regulations and hopefully improved safety throughout the industry. My thoughts are with the family and I wish them the best.
