  1. Thaks for the replies. I want to get there in time to be processed and ready for the 9:30 DB ERT. Any advice of when to get there?
  2. Magnum, Millie and Raptor. I Chose a great day for a visit at CP last year and walked on to Raptor 8 times in a row. I could've gone more but like Giga said earlier, my other favs kept calling me. Did Millie 6 with a 5-10 minute wait. Would've done Mav but it was still 45 mins. We had over 30 rides that day, we stopped counting. The great thing about marathoning rides is you can really compare the ride experience in the different seats... it also makes your dreams about the ride much more realistic. I dream the full cycle on all of the above now.
  3. My friend and I are arriving Sat. morning for RWW and have to process our passes (4 hr drive that I'm not making just to process the passes). I don't mind missing the morning RWW ERT but want to get in on DB ERT. So, how long have the wait times been and what's a good guess of when to arrive this Sat? Thanks!
  4. Even if it's crowded you can hit the ERT and and get some rides in right after pening while the lines are short. I'm going to stay thru lunch and leave mid day for a nap and then come back for eve. Crowds will be light and then DB ERT!!!! I dont think Sun wll be that busy being Mother's Day. The crowds have been pretty light so far this year (keeping fingers crossed).
  5. Brian sent me an email and said for me to go ahead and register, but it also says that I would need my ID card to show validation that I am indeed a member for ACE. Hopefully they'll be able to get it here before RWW starts. I've had some emails back and forth and the answer I got was that you need to be able to prove that you are a member of said enthusiast group. My friend is in the same situation and it seems that if you bring a printed copy of an email from said group stating your name and membership number as proof, you'll be OK. I'd love to hear this officially stated though, please! What time does season pass processing start? p.s. For those in this thread, sorry for all the edits. I'm trying to choose my words carefully.
  6. This is giving me great anticipation for this Sun at Ride Warriors. It could be a park scarcely filled with mostly enthusiasts, what fun!
  7. I ordered last night and they are giving a free upgrade. If you pay for standard shipping they give you 2 day delivery and "ensure" (not guarantee) that it will arrive by Fri.
  8. Well, just do like all the other people do that go to themeparks. Sue for 25 million dollars over a small thing. Lol. By the way a bee sting isnt a small thing. Just making point on what i see on the net. I noticed that they didnt have to take out King Cobra to put in something as small as Delirium. Cedar Point put MaxAir in a small spot and just moved a few things around. MaxAir is just like Delirium. Only MaxAir is a few feet taller when it swings. I also noticed that if you stand next to Drop Tower you can feel the air hitting you as the ride is coming down from the drop. King Cobra was removed becuase it was made of inferior quality steel.
  9. I feel the same way but consider the circumstances under which KI got the ride. CF closed Geauga Lake and basically sold and divided up it's assessets between their other parks (I'm being very general). So I guess I feel lucky that KI even has Firehawk. CF does seem to me to be making an effort to improve their theming and overall appearance of their parks. Personally, I think they are doing great for a seasonal park. All those amazing rides that can only generate revenue for several months a year!
  10. Those are fantastic. They would make great posters too. Of course the top one really makes me wish Backlot was somewhere else!
  11. Yeah they're putting in King Cobra to run as a racer with Shockwave. That's why KC's trains went there David, who couldn't resist (and wonders if he will start talking in Terpy language too)
  12. I too love this idea. I've had so many conversations with many of you but have met no one. That's just weird for me. Also, what could be more fun than riding and hanging with a bunch of enthusiasts? I like Terpy's idea of the calender. Make it interactive so you simply type in the park your going to and everyone can list their names under it. Then have threads titled by park name and date to discuss plans and all.
  13. Thanks for the excellent TR! It's helping hold me over till I get to go.
  14. I was hoping this would happen. Thank you KICentral team for being willing to do the work of organizing, ordering etc... I will definitely buy one.
  15. Somewhere, dare-to-fly is smiling, but at the same time finds himself wondering how long that will last. So true ! We've been sending PM's about that since Thur. Do we have another Sammy situation?
  16. I am just completely excited about DB. I haven't been scared of a ride since I was a kid.
  17. As a kid, mid to late 80's I greatly preferred KI over CP. Once Magnum went in I never even made it back to KI. Of course I can't compare KI now to then because I'm an adult and it's totally different. So all I can add to this discussion is to say that I think Cedar Fair has done wonders for KI and I am quite pleased with their work.
  18. Ryan, I think the thanks goes to the tremendous job the moderators do in maintaining this site. I have not had neraly the same response time or level of support with other indistry sites! Thank you!
  19. I feel like the last two days have been group hug moments
  20. Cangrats. I think it went to a good person. I also love all this KICentral publicity!!!!!!!!!!!
  21. ^ I couldn't agree more. New landscaping always looks looks unnatural and contrived. Give it a bit of time to fill in.
  22. 4 hours for magnum in 89'. The queues were full and the line stretched down the midway to the small bride. It was a very early lesson to avoid Sat. at the point.
