  1. FOF DB SOB Vortex Beast Flight Deck Other than DB, the rest would change day to day.
  2. Someone certainly deserves a pointless post award! More sand and Reggae in BB = Extatic Gibson!
  3. That's bold Terpy, and I like it! David who has enjoyed such mischief like sitting on the away team's side. I wonder if the GOCC group will have exclusive access to Maverick that morning. Their ERT is scheduled for 9-10.
  4. "And for the parents worried about your kids not knowing about Peanuts; go to Barnes and Noble and pick up some of the Peanuts comic books and read them together with your kids. You will find that reading with your kids is more rewarding than watching Nick with them." The quote button isn't working. Browntggrr: As a parent and Elem. School Counselor I give you post of the year. Those comics teach kids so many lessons. I use them in guidance lessons and the majority of my students know the Peanuts gang and like them a lot. I've asked what does the teacher sound like (while teaching them active listening skills) and they all do the wawawa thing. Tomcatt77: The reason to go to different parks is that they have different rides. I would love taking my daughter to Nick U or Planet Snoopy, she's only 1 though... she also loves watching POV's. Thata' girl!
  5. Those who say the got no airtime on DB must be talking about radio play . How do you get a headache from DB then ride Racer (which I love) 11 times and not complain about roughness?
  6. SOB Tom: That's just craziness Thanks for your unnofficial voice of reasoning!
  7. I've waited a long time to vote on this because I havn't been on several of the rides that I know I'll be choosing from. I missed my trip to Holiday world and I'm not going to Hershey till the 20-21st. Stroem, you've got me psyched out of my mind. I just realized that Hershey has GCI's a few weeks ago and had no idea that they had that good of woodies. I though I was going for a couple of Intamins and a B&M invert! FOF gets my vote. I would be so crazy about this ride if they quit using the MCBR. I still love it but, can only imagine... until I ride Jokers Jinx that is.
  8. Thanks Browns! I don't want to get drenched and spinning around doesn't work on this ride type. Beast, I agree. Animations also do little to convey the real feel of a ride so maybe it'll work but it just seems a bit thin to me. I hope, at least that the environment makes up for it but I really want some good theming. Some animatronics would be sweet!

That's odd! I heard the same thing happened at my school and I was even the one who did it It must have been good cuz I sure don't remember doing it. Maybe I was Dazed and Confused.

Ryan, your post was a breath of fresh air. Especially after the comments of a certain few in the Shoot the Rapids thread yesterday. I love going to parks and many of my fondest memories are from them. There are plenty of things for me to complain about (and I do when I think it will help) but I don't get angry at management or let it get in the way of enjoying the park. People try to cut me in line and I stop them, forget about it and enjoy the day. It's just like having kids. I sure don't like it when my daughter cries and changing diapers is no party but I'm not going to ***** at her or stop liking her. All good has bad... Yin Yang anyone?
  11. What some people fail to realize is that this ride is essentially buying us kick ass, CP grade coasters in the future. It is being built to make money so that other things can be built to make money. STR will attract a ton of families that spend a lot in the park. Besides, be just got Maverick in 07' and it's Maverick. Everyone loves it. Before that TTD... it's just way too great of a park to complain. Just for the record, I really wanted a coaster!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I was just prepared for a flume type ride.
  12. ^Don't say the O word!!!! I'm still in denial about how close it's getting.
  13. I think it's a perfect addition and fit's into it's environment nicely. It's cool that that added to the old feuding families theme from PWE. It's nice when something new reinvigorates something old. I personally would prefer a coaster (while we're at it make that trimless) but I think they've done the right thing. With all the development in the back of the park it really makes me wonder what it will look like in a few years.
  14. I've received nothing as of last night (except the goodies I bought at Sweetwater Sound). I also live in northern IN.
  15. Per Pointbuzz, it's not open to the public. Webcasts, podcasts and all that jazz but no in person affair. When Tony talks aboutnot seeing something happening on Frontier Trail I think he is referring to actually construction. It seems quite certain that the announcement will be made at this Thur at 9:10. Go Browns's post is a quote from Tony himself saying "all will be revealed."
  16. Ask Standbyme "what is Goofy".
  17. Assuming your talking about this weekend (9/4+9/5), I was there on the Sun of that weekend last year and it was totally dead. We had rerides on Raptor becuase of no line and didn;t wait more than 15 minutes for anything all day. It was phenomenal. I would be there again this Sun but I've been talked into KI. Can't wait for some more laps on DB and night rides on The Beast!
  18. just as I've learned much from you. Awwww it's a warm fuzzy moment p.s. I also wasn't directing that comment at you.
  19. ^Lightweight I agree with railrider that 305 will be a very unique ride experience. The layout may look flat and uninteresting but think of all those turns at about 90 mph
  20. RailRider: I forgot all about those. It does look like quite a unique ride experience. The more I think about it I really don't see anyone building a new traditional suspended coaster. They were a fad like standups, a much more successful one in my opinion but considering the high maintenance costs... I think we may be watching them fade into history.
  21. I'm happy cuz that' the first confirmation I;ve seen for ERT on Beast and DB. I may have issed the obvious somewhere but hey...
  22. I have watched the Eagle Fortress POV countless times and it just looks amazing. I noticed it was SBNO awile ago and I think it's tragic. It looks like such an intense ride and I don't really think we'll se new suspended coasters, the freely swaying ones not inverts. I feel like I'm watching an era slowing die and loosing my opportunity for some great and unique coaster experiences. I've only been on Dragin Iron and Flight Deck (which is great but a bit too short for the walk back to it).
  23. I don't know that it's irony then. I could see mistakingly posting a page once but making the exact same mistake twice. Seems like well calculated marketing to me.
  24. Well said Tom! People are believeing it because they posted a link to a page on KI's official page announcing Planet Snoopy. It was then removed from the KI site. It looked like someone accidentally published the page before the public was supposed to see it. Edit: Ringmaster beat me to it and out did me by posting the page too
  25. The wooden mouse does sound pretty fun. I havn't ridden a double ferris wheel since I was a kid. I can hardly remember it either but I do remember really liking it! All I want for next year is a well done Planet Snoopy. 2011 I'm hoping for a B&M invert or Maverick type, terrain hugging looper.
