  1. Annoying isn't it? Can't wait to read you PA TR. I think I'm hitting Kennywood on my way to Hershey this year.

  2. RZ, you will love Hershey. GCI's (including their first, Wildcat), great B&M invert, Storm Runner good flats, ambience, etc... Totally worth the drive and you you can add in Kennywood, Idlewood, Dorney and so on. Fahrenheit felt like a one trick pony to me and the 97 degree drop was nothing compared to the intensity of Maverick's 95. Fahrenheit was suprisingly dull after the first drop. I was totally looking forward to it and very surprised. Storm Runner, on the other hand, Those are some of the most intense inversions I've ever been on. It was non-stop fun. Sure it's a bit short but in no way a one trick pony! David, who wonders if you've ridden them
  3. No offense but, I still think Mr. Six is inceredibly creepy... and I've worked with sex offenders, Schizophrenics and about everything else. Quality over quantity does not rule out a clone. Whichever clone it is (though some are a bit different) Batman is an amazing invert! Besides, clones are a cost effective way to have more high quality rides in more parks.
  4. Thanks so much for sharing, those pictures made my day... of course I kept mentally replacing your daughter with mine You've got me incredibly excited. My daughter is 18 months and we've already booked reservations for HoliWood nights. Fun with her by day, KICers by night... Perfect! We're planning a Disney World trip, probably about this time next year and looking into Idlewild (thaks Terpy) when we're in PA this Sept. You have taken my anticipation to a whole new level. Oh, Avatar, forget what I said about Cedar Fair theming awhile ago
  5. Sorry to be cynical but, I'm sure this does will not help to change the mindframe of a certain management team that seems to think employees are expendable. On a much more optimistic note, Congrats Robbie! I've always guessed you give your personal best and I assume you'll work very hard and have many admirable accomplishments.
  6. Terpy, Seriously! I'm anxious enough for HoliWood Nights
  7. I've enjoyed the build up for this more than most TR's I've read. You do awesome TR's and I'm anxiously awaiting this one. Thanks for sharing!
  8. I just realized I haven't looked at anyting but forums and the front page articles in long time, probably a year. I love this site for all the good converesation and go stright to the forums. Of course now I'm off to browse the site.
  9. Huh. I've always been able to see clearly back there. So much light pollution and no trees to block it. Even at 1AM on RWW I could see fine. Beast, on the other hand, has some spots where I really can't see.
  10. Terpy, I have no clue. If you said April I would guess SOB discussions before opening day but...
  11. It's exactly the same thing for me. I can't help but see one at the front of CP. It goes near the beach and curves inland into the DD spot. Although, after going to Hershey, I think I'd rather see a nice twisty GCI there.
  12. I adore woodies but SOB just didn't do anything for me.
  13. It's not KI but it fits so well I have to Maverick Korn 10 or a 2 Way
  14. Haven't ridden Ka but my vote goes to TTD. Launched coasters are more intense, less expected and just feel insanely fast. Scond for me would be Storm runner then Millie becuase it sustains so much speed later in the course and usually a train is going much slower that far into the ride. Maverick gets my vote for fastest feel at lower speeds. BTW, SOB didn't feel fast to me. Rode it once, got bored, never went back.
  15. The honest ones wouldn't We remember how fun the coaster war game was
  16. Sorry to post again but I had to. You totally saved the best for last!
  17. ^ Who cares? CP has all the coasters I need! The title doesn't mean anything to me.
  18. I love the Children's Museum and have since I was a kid. We went at least once a year and I was always amazed... the trains were my favorite back then. I went with my girlfirend/wife as a teenager and an adult. It is truely an amazing place. Thanks! You just inspired me to take my daughter there and I'm all sorts of excited. I havnen't seen the Chihuly glass... wow, just wow! Do they still have the water clock?
  19. Thanks Nemo! That's a gorgeous ride. I think DB looks (since I haven't ridden Lil Timy) better, other than the helix.
  20. Yep, cranes are expensive. They wouldn't be taking down the debt.
  21. Just posting to agree with Terpy about the trip east. It took me a full day to get my fix of just coasters at Hersheyand it wasn't even crowded. Seriously I rode no flats. You will love the GCI's ( ohh those Millennium Flyers ), Storm Runner and Great Bear. Don't miss Comet either, it's such a classic. The place is simply amazing and I'm heading back next year! Oh and don't bother riding Fahrenheit anywhere but the front. I was amazed at how blah it was.
  22. That's what I was wondering about. I've been too busy to look into Q. Do you have any idea how concerned we should be?
  23. It looks like there was a light shinning back on the riders. Not something I would have liked. The videos look black and white so I don't think that would have appealed to many riders either. I agree that Firehawk vids would probably be a hit.
  24. Different park but I wonder how sales are for the video on Raptor? I can see it for Maverick and newer rides but was kinda surprised when I saw them on Raptor.
  25. I take an old camera for TR photos and fun shots of the day. I've got an Olympus for quality photos but that goes back to the car or into a locker before any rides.
