  1. I have a very hard time deciding between the two. I watch Maverick's POV all the time though and not many others. I kinda decided at the end that I like Maverick better but we'll see this season. his is exactly why I'm so excited about i305. I luv Maverick and Millie i305 is like a combination of both. I haven't ridden it so I have no idea how it worked out but I am hopeful.
  2. Fox news at media day. Some good footage and a POV! It looks amazing and incredibly smooth! http://www.myfoxdc.c...dominion-040110
  3. If Diamondback was called Poop Shuttle I would ride it no less. I see your point but there is a lot of whining (not to say you specifically) on amusement park forums. Like the people that were angry and saying bad things about CF because i305 is shorter than Millie. Come on folks, your getting a Giga with an amazing looking spaghetti bowl of track. Boo Blasters looks awesome from the pics. The name has grown on me and I really think it's cute now... and I never hear boob anymore when people say it I really hope they do continue the 5@5. It was a nice connection and I felt like it gave an inside look at the park and the personalioties and opinions of some of it's employees.
  4. What if people stop complaining so much and actually realized that change is innevetible and often very good?
  5. Kings Island is definitely slipping! First Firehawk, then Diamondback and now an overhaul of the kids area. What a shame.
  6. Packed is good for the park and I'd be glad about that. Moving the time back is no good for me but if it works out for them. Maybe they'll do a lunch one too in the future. Looks like more Ruby Tuesday's for Gibson and crew. Edit: It's daily and I've heard it's really a good deal, 9.99 w/ a Platinum Pass
  7. I like "Ride on" and "America's (Rockin') Roller Coast." The Fun and Only definitely does not do it for me. Then, to have that slogan at multiple parks is just rediculous. It's like having only gold medals for Olympic events... not really but it was the closest analogy I could think of
  8. Coney Island: There's no grass or leaves on the trees and the footage is horrible. If you've looked at higer res photo's you'll see i305 is quite a beauty. I agree that the shakiness (sp?) is just an issue with the camera.
  9. ^ Are you offended by Creulla de Vil? Boocifer caught my attention too but it's nothing out of the norm. I totally agree about some of the music I heard in the kids area though. The pics so far make Boo Blasters look great. I'm pretty excited now!
  10. I love this site! I hadn't been on since the announcement. Happened to check the perks after looking at the Boo Hill page on the KI site. Saw the change. A quick search on KIC found this thread. I got my question answered pretty almost instantly. Thanks! Woot for ERT on my first trip of the year!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
  11. Tony Clark posted (on another site) that they did not print them. But don't worry, this merger isn't afftecting day to day operations
  12. Yes- No decision has been made regarding SOB http://www.KICentral.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=20850&st=495 see post 506. Seriously though, we definitely won't hear anything until after 3/16/10 when they vote on the merger and I really doubt we'll hear much of anything until right before opening day... if then. SBNO looks pretty liekly.
  13. I like em, especially Woodstock's Whirleybirds. But, Snoopy Surf Dog... seriously?
  14. ^Welcome! Glad you've enjoyed reading the forums and that you've started posting.
  15. It's fun to ride with the lights on but after a time or two, I was ready for the dark again. So true Terpy (though I always make out the part where they didn't install a MCBR). It's just a mess of steel, quite awesome really. The same with space mountain.
  16. I love the guy huffin' and puffin' at about 50 secs.
  17. I'll second that Terpy! I actually didn't even ride it last year. I only went to CP twice and just didn't get on it. I'll sure miss seeing it as I come across the causeway.
  18. I want to spend money in the park. I want to help them thrive but I can't bring myself to pay too much for too little. Sounds like Salad Bar at Ruby Tuesdays again this year. Which, honestly is now a tradition I don't want to break. CF looses out on many nickels from Gibson. ON second though, I never did try Backyard BBQ and I've heard good things. $10 isn't too bad. We'll see.
  19. My fisrt roller coaster ride... The Beast. I was like 10 and wanted to ride so bad but was too short. My dad and sis went on and I waited with mom. They changed staff at the entrance and I went back up (standing as tall as possible) and they let me through. I totally admit to line hopping (only time I've ever done it) all the way through a full que into the station. The ride was intense and blissful. My fisrt ride on Maggie. It was the opening year and I waited about 4 hours. I had taped news spots on it and watched them repeatedly. The first drop was so intense I thought my head was going to pop. I loved it! My first ride on DB is up there too. IT was the reason I joined this forum and it turned my rollercoaster enthusiasm into addiction (I still think this is a good thing). It's the first coaster I've ever followed through construction and when it all culminated in the first ride... wow! What a moment!
  20. I'm a Disney fan and have always liked Burton's films but have to admit that I'm getting pretty tired of Depp. That said, I'm sure he'll make a great Mad Hatter. My inlaws will surely get it as soon as it's released to DVD and I'll see it then.
  21. OK, I won't but I don't really remember. But you must admit it's funny to say no offense and then hurl an insult. Jackson said something funny, I liked it, laughed and commented. Like Standbyme's comment on the Depends, for which you definitely get quote of the day! Besides, if I tought Jackson would take any offense to it I would have sent him a PM. Back on topic, The Fun and Only just doesn't do it for me. I can see why people would like it and I hope it works out for the park but, it just seems like a cheap, predictable pun with no releveance to an amusement park. Besides, CF is going down the route of amusement/thrill parks that are a branded experience (like the other financially crippled amusement entity). If they want all their parks to have a similar feel, why promote a slogan pushing individuality. It just seems ad hoc. I think marketing was after something like ride on (which I like) but it just falls short for me. I like everything they've shown us for Planet Snoopy though. I'll show the bits we've got to my little one to see what she thinks of it. I'm guessing a big hit.
  22. I'm telling ya, Ruby Tuesday's salad bar!
  23. No offense but that's stupid. They're innovators, things are going to go wrong. Look at early attempts at flight. Edit: Besides, they gave us Maverick and Giga coasters so I forgive them for downtime
  24. I love how you started that with "no offense" You crack me up!
  25. King Cobra was awesome and I miss it. I do remembeer thinking it was short but it was still a great ride (I was a youngin then, btw). I'm with DVO on Mantis. I didn't used to like it but last season it really grew on me. It doesn't hurt my legs, I'm never uncomfortable and it has some great inversions though. The trim kills me though. I've read on e that it's to help make inervals but still, I hate trims on first drops.
