  1. Let's hope. I would hate to see 1,500 angry enthusiasts all in one weekend at the world's best amusement park!
  2. I like sustained speed, a smooth ride (I won't ride Blue Racer but once a season because of this.), no trims are preferable but not required, lots of positive G's (negative and lats are okay, but I love being plastered into my seat!), and an overall fun ride experience. A ride doesn't have to do anything spectacular to me as long as it fulfills some of those requirements.

    Diamondback

Mine were phenomenal, no pain, and the only B&M Hyper I've been on. By the way, I believe you either meant Titan at SFOT (Which was manufactured by Giovanola) or Nitro at SFGAdv. Just an observation.
  4. I like Invertigo's cobra roll the most.
  5. I could come up with a top 3, but not 5. Others are listed below the top 3 in no particular order of wanting to ride. 1. Millennium Force - I hope it's up and running by CoasterMania!. It just looks like an all out blast to me! 2. Nitro - I've heard Diamondback is better, but Nitro has you go sideways on hills and looks like it has one powerful helix. 3. The Voyage - A 90 degree banking wooden coaster that goes through tunnels 8 times during the ride?! PUT ME ON IT! Top Thrill Dragster - I've seen POV videos MANY a time, but I can't wait to experience a coaster that goes 120 MPH! Raptor - I'm all about intensity and everything I've heard tells me it has TONS of it. Incedible Hulk - Again with intensity! Magnum - It just looks like it's fun from start to finish and is the first of its kind. Mantis - Chastise me all you want, but I loved King Cobra (another stand up coaster) and I haven't really been on a true twister before. Coney Island Cyclone - I love classic out and back wooden coasters, and to boot, it's the world's most famous coaster! Medusa at SFGAdv (pre-Bizarro) - It was themed well and looked like a lot of fun. Plus it was the world's first floorless coaster. Storm Runner - I love how the cobra loop is an original element and how the voice at the start sets the tone of the ride. "Now get ready. Here we go!"
  6. Sparky - I agree that linejumping sucks and that the little brat that did it should have been thrown out of the park, but to go home two hours away because of something that took two seconds is a little much. I seriously hope you reconsider your decision on not coming to the park anymore because of a few bad apples. Some people are ignorant, but if we let it get the best of us then we have already lost the battle. Just take 10 deep breaths next time and then enjoy a ride on Diamondback. Ask people in the regular line if they'll back you up. I'm sure someome would have spoken up if you asked them nicely. All I'm trying to say is don't let one little brat ruin your day at a great park.
  7. Hopefully it's up and running soon. Be glad it didn't happen AT CoasterMania!, Angie. I like Intamin's innovations, but not their rides' reliabilties in general. Sigh...
  8. I'm with you, Jackson. Millennium Force is THE ride (not just coaster) i want to ride before I die, and this will be my first trip up to Cedar Point. I wanted to hit Millie first, but I'll just have to wait and see.
  9. Is it just me, or does the catch car look broken in that picture?
  10. Saturday/Sunday for sure. I hope they decide to do it on a weekend that doesn't include Mother's Day next year, also. That bugged me a little this year.
  11. Now don't think like that. The day you stop speaking your mind about something you believe in is the day that you take some freedom away from yourself. You started a topic and people agreed with you on something. This shows that you're not alone and, therefore, the post count doesn't matter.
  12. No, you're not getting used to it, The Beast IS getting slower. The one part that is HIGHLY trimmed is the straightaway before the second tunnel. I remember flying through that tunnel years ago, but now you just kind of mosey along. It defeats the purpose of it in my opinion.
  13. The tallest coaster I've ridden to date is Diamondback. I hope to break that twice while at CoasterMania! next weekend with Millennium Force and Top Thrill Dragster.
  14. Great trip report, Kat. Love the pics of all the underwater life. My friends have been to the aquarium and also saw the dolphin show. Very entertaining from what I hear. I've heard of the Butthole Surfers and I too like their music. They're not too shabby actually!
  15. Well, if they disengaged the brakes on Drop Tower I'm pretty sure that would be its last trimless ride ever!
  16. Saturday will be the worst day of the week to go without a doubt because it will be packed. I'm going next Tuesday for my birthday. I hear that no one is really there on Tuesdays and I'm looking forward to that. I'm hearing other weekdays aren't bad either.
  17. This makes the third time it's balanced, right? WOW! Dragster didn't run too much (Did it run at all?) on Opening Day, it's had some problems since, and now it gets stuck? I hope it's not like this for CoaterMania! I wouldn't mind getting a rollback, but this just doesn't look promising!
  18. HEY! I ride mosly coasters because most flat rides do a number on my stomach. Anyway, I vote for Scrambler with Dodgem being a very close second. Dodgem is fun, but it's only REALLY fun when you're trying to hit and are getting hit by people that you know. I will say that my favorite Scrambler was the one at Lesourdesville Lake. It was faster than the one at KI.
  19. That's odd. Guest Relations should DEFINITELY be notified of this.
  20. I voted for Other. I'd like to see something completely original with all honesty. I don't know exactly what I would want to see, but make it interesting so it catches people's eyes in a good way. That way when people look at it from the Eiffel Tower they'll look in awe instead of saying that it's ugly.
  21. Very nice pictures. I especially like how you caught Raptor going through its loop and Blue Streak going up its lift hill in the same shot. The one with all of Mantis's twisted steel is also an eye catcher.
  22. Check visitkingsisland.com's calendar and see if there are any events going on those days. If you love coasters then you're gonna HAVE to check out both The Beast and Diamondback! The Beast is continually ranked one of the best wooden coasters in the world every year. Diamondback is simply AMAZING! YOU HAVE TO RIDE IT! Also, don't be fooled if it seems like it has a long line. That line moves so fast that a full queue is only 30 - 45 minutes long. Since you said you were by yourself check out the single rider line on Diamondback too. You might also want to check out rides such as Firehawk, Vortex, The Racer (Red is definitely the smoother side.), Invertigo, and flat rides like Delirium and Drop Tower. Trust me, you're gonna love Kings Island!
  23. In terms of an overall ride I HAVE to give it to The Beast. In terms of influence The Racer has my vote. If not for The Racer then The Beast might not have ever been built because The Racer started the second golden age of coaster building.
  24. I've been stapled by a ride op on The Racer too. I would have been fine left as I was, too, but I DID mind because I don't exactly have short legs being 6 feet 3 inches tall. I understand safety, but it was ridiculous. Another click would not have been possible to do. In regards to flying out of Diamondback, no, it's not possible as long as the restraints are in the right place and they do not fail.

    Why not?

The only rides I haven't done are in 3 categories: 1. They're in Nick U; 2. They're spinning flat rides (except for Scrambler); and 3. They're pay attractions. I've ridden every coaster in the park except for Little Bill's Giggle Coaster because I'm too tall to ride by myself. In regards to Son of Beast - I like the ride, but I will admit that it does shake the living daylights out of you in the helixes.
