  1. Temps from peoples body heat made the steel a little more flexible? Are you serious? It has nothing to do with the train. People just need to lose weight.
  2. KI's best (and I use that term lightly) show can't hold a candle to the shows at Dollywood and Busch Gardens. What amazes me is, now that DWood seems to be making the transition from a show park to a rides park, they manage to keep their shows to the highest quality. As for "Way Too Much TV", yawn. Looks like the set they had there last year minus the TV's.
  3. Do you want the ride there or not? The trims are there to prevent the ride form tearing itself apart.
  4. From what I can read here and from reports from other people who were there that day, the park was pretty much dead and more than one train wasn't needed on the coasters. So what was there to complain to GR about?
  5. Premieres outdoor spaghetti bowl LIM launched coasters are way better to look at and ride than the enclosed ones.
  6. Its worth noting that the Flight Commander picture on the first page isn't from KI.
  7. The search feature is your friend. What part of "I couldn't locate it" don't you understand? Nice find frisbeefan
  8. As far as Kings Island is concerned she tried out this summer and made the squad.
  9. You won't convince "them" to turn off the "trims".
  10. Wow what a moron. He sounds like someone who has a vendetta against the amusement park industry.
  11. Assuming your off the clock and not in uniform, do yourself a favor and dont do it.
  12. See thats where your wrong. Sure a slim margin of park goers might realize some of those cosmetic issues(minus SOB) but in the end, they don't care and will still ride the ride. So where is Cedar Fairs return on investment on spending millions of dollars in cosmetic issues when, like I said, the general public could care less.
  13. I've been reading on some other sites how they are "shocked" Holiday World didn't win the friendliest park award... I'm not. Last time I was there I got the "it's our way or the highway" vibe/tone from some of the employees.
  14. No it's not This isn't the thread for the argument, but I'm going to do it anyway. It is completely pointless. The midcourse was turned off under Paramount. There is no midcourse even installed on the clone at Six Flags America. Therefore, that trim brake is completely unnecessary other than because Cedar Fair loves trim brakes. Ok, I got that off my chest. I feel better now. Things change. As do mechanical parts. Maintenance issues come up as well. So realize that yes, it is necessary and not pointless. Also, while the two other Premiere LIM launched coasters at the Six Flags may appear identical to the naked eye, know that they are not.
  15. So call. It's really not a difficult concept. I'm sure you've got the phone number for your department. If you don't, go look in your training material. It'll be in there. We are not the park. We cannot answer questions about ANYTHING relating to employment. That includes employee benefits, rules, regulations, expectations, etc. Most people on this forum are not employees. Those that are know that it is against company policy to give out information to the public that is not given directly from the marketing department. The employees that are on this forum are very eager to NOT lose their jobs and therefore are not going to answer your questions. Wow. Such hostility. YOU may not be able to answer questions regarding certain employee related issues, but some of us can. So DO NOT speak for all of us. Nor will anyone lose their job for answering this particular question.... To answer the kids question, yes you can wear street clothes. It would be a good idea to bring your employee ID as well. The whole night is more less a ride night with free food and door prizes.
  16. Angie has the right idea... Besides, if the ride ops went looking for every set of keys that were lost on the ride that day, they'd never get the chance to go home.
  17. You don't get it. When you get an idea of how much it cost to maintain these things, then you can complain about it being BS.
  18. The stair effect is not a "bumpy area in the track." If I'm not mistaken, that effect has never worked since day one and was supposed to be achieved by having a big subwoofer placed just under the seat pointed towards your butt and being activated at that particular point during the ride? Can anyone back me up on this?
