Money is still owed on SoB? I didn't know either that there was money owed on SOB besides lawsuit stuff which I know was settled. So both of you think that the original cost and rebuild loans are paid off?

I remember it being very busy the last few years open. There were several non-holiday weekends I tried to go and there was only overflow primitive sites back by Flight Deck open. Maybe I pick the wrong weekends?

True, but what about the money still owed on SOB. If it is removed next week, how much longer will CF be paying for it with no return for the park That to me would have to be swaying on his mind heavily before calling in the wrecking ball. A decision that is best for the park, the guests, and the shareholders is one that is probably going to take more time. Studies and data are probably still being collected and evaluated from vendors and probably still being sent to CF for them to make the final decision. Although I hate to see it sit there SBNO, the best decision right now may be no decision.

I wonder if some of this track work is to also accommodate the new Timberliners? This looks a little more serious than just general re-track work. Maybe this type of work is different on a hybrid?

I think if a new water ride needs to be added it would be a water coaster over in the water park. I think that would draw in more in more people than a new water type ride in the dry park. There is the option of a Aqua trax and there is some concern for me me that there is only 1 of these coasters built and that was back in 2003. I think it is interesting it i a paid intern, most that I have looked at or known someone did was not paid at all. I know, what is said is not always reality, but I don't want to be pessimistic about it all either. I think they deserve another chance. I really want when to be successful! Wish you could have been at the GOCC Party Terpy! Some of that was explained, and as of now they seem to be looking into the future for renovations, expansions, and cleanup! I really hope they can do it!

I remember camping at the campground and going to this theater after being at KI all day and taking in a movie about 8 PM before heading back to the camper. Camping and KI, those were the good ole days. With our new CEO wanting to draw in more families, I hope we can get back to that some day! That would bring my family over for weekend trips a lot more than the day trips we take now. Camping was just as much fun as going to KI. Ok, maybe not, but I seem to remember and have more stories about the times I was camping than just taking day trips. FD waking you up in the morning testing, if you camped in the back. Walking up on a skunk while you are trying to walk the dog at 2am!

Especially with NYC's pricing on real estate. Makes more sense to me to stay where it is less expensive and a place you already own. I have to agree, although I understand the points Terpy is making. Why add an expense of an office building when you already own land at so many parks to have an HQ. Even if you wanted to build a brand new office suite, building it on your own land is more than likely going to be cheaper than renting office space in NYC. I also can't see moving to NYC is going to be better for your investors who are all over the world, especially with your biggest one down south.

I would hope that KI is putting back the operating cost from the past 2 years (maintenance, staffing, etc) in the bank to contribute to the decision for SOB once it is made. I would think at this point that would have a down payment saved up. Although, I could be totally wrong in this thinking!

I am not sure if it was mentioned previously or not, but at the GOCC party it seemed the calendar would not be published until a few updates were made to the website. After looking quickly at a few other parks they do not have their calendar up yet either. Good things take time and patience! Edited on 12/30/11

If your first picture was the the placement of WS for the last picture, WS would look like a small ride. You know what the GP would be saying about it by looking at friends pics. "Look at Joe's picture in front of the fountain, WS is half the size of the EF it is not a tall ride at all." Intentional or not, placing WS behind the ET for that picture location is really brilliant! Honestly, I never really understood why WS was placed where it is from a logistical standpoint. It was not until opening day and seeing the way it looked coming down CM did I understand how awesome it was in it's current location. Now seeing it hidden from the famous ET shot it makes even more sense. Thanks for showing us that KiFan73!
