  1. Awesome! Thanks for the update!
  2. This article made the front page of the paper her in indy. http://www.indystar.com/apps/pbcs.dll/article?AID=2011108040351
  3. There has to be some fingerprints around there somewhere!
  4. Remember, it's still only early August. Summer is still here, and Halloween is in another two months. The site won't be up until another month and construction definitley has not started this early. I don't know about construction, but during coasting for kids a few of us saw haunt props being moved around with a fork lift. Whether that was a preparation for haunt or just a coincidence I am not sure.
  5. Yeah, a little different these days. http://indianabeach.com/pages/indianabeach_tickets_rates
  6. We do? We already have a flying coaster!
  7. DA must have went over a lot better than most here thought it would.
  8. I am excited for the addition, although I was really thinking this was going to be an addition on the dry side of the park. I am now thinking that they are going to do the same thing as they did with wood coasters. Build 3 of them. Since it seems that their next dry coaster being considered would be steel. Thoughts?
  9. Except, no use of electronic devices on ANY ride at KI! I guess you could start it before you got on the ride and then check it again when you get off.
  10. Enjoyed the PTR thus far! Looking forward to reading more!
  11. I have to agree that it has been drove into the ground, but does this also mean that there is some grounds for KI to try and save it? It seems that KI enthusiast have SOB on their minds a lot. Even GP friends of mine ask me about what is happening to the ride. I seem to get asked at least every few weeks by someone. Either way, I think this is some prof for KI that there is enough interest in the ride to at least entertain the idea of fixing.
  12. I do not know of anyone who has went to HW and been disappointed. I hope you decide to take the trip! If you do we will be anxious to hear about your trip.
  13. Welcome to KIC! Thanks for sharing. Sounds like you had a great day.
  14. Yeah, I was in the back of the train when we were doing that! Guess I should have asked everyone to do it again. Great memories!
  15. I'd say it's safe to say that the most basic, acceptable fix would require re-bracing and stabilizing the entire structure. Oh now GYK, I love hearing your ideas and thoughts, but what is your basis for this statement? It may not need this at all for it's "fix."
  16. I forgot to write in my original post that The Racer crew really put our day over the top. They did everything they could to make sure we had a good time!
  17. What a great event that was held on 7/24/11 at Kings Island, Coasting for Kids 2011! I had not participated in the past, so I was not sure what to expect. I was going to be ridding over with Avatar and always enjoy his company. I knew there was going to be a few other KIC'ers that I had not seen in a while at the event as well. I must say I really enjoyed myself and was a very memorable event for everyone who participated. I put together a video of some of our experiences of the day along with a special interview with Don Helbig. I hope you enjoy! Here is a picture of the International Street Art that I won during lunch that Stanbyme mentioned in his trip report. http://www.KICentral...showtopic=24250 Besides the weather it was a perfect day. As far as having more than one coaster for the event, I think having everyone at the same place the full day made it more personable and gave us the opportunity to get to know each other better. Coasting for Kids 2011 was an event that I will cherish for years to come and hope to participate in the future. The only thing that would have made it even better would have been more participants from KIC and other coaster lovers who wanted to raise money for such a great cause.
  18. I see both sides of the coin with this subject RaptorGuy. What if that extra money they are making off the fast lanes ends up help financing a coaster that you like better than Raptor? Is it worth it then? Just a thought.
  19. I agree. Why is it unreasonable to dress yourself in a respectable manor when out in public, especially at a family place. I am all for expressing yourself, but in the correct setting. It appears that some people wear clothes that scream "Look at me" but get upset when someone notices.
  20. Very nice, thanks for sharing.
  21. I would try everything that you didn't care so much for the first time. You can then get a better opinion of why you didn't like it the first time round. I find a lot of rides that rub me wrong once may not the next and become a ride I enjoy ridding more instead of skipping. Have fun!
  22. Not saying it is or isn't, but It seems everyone is stuck on another Delirium. That is not the only type of ride they make you know! We have to keep our minds open to other ideas as well.
  23. Super excited for the event!
  24. Anything is something and appreciated just the same!
  25. If you know someone registered and are close, they can bring a check or cash with them the day of the event.
