  1. Can we have a page that shows the creeds that people have submitted by park?? Great work so far RWNContact, I am having fun watching this site come together!
  2. I'm interested here. Why do you think The Beast is haunted? I think it is haunted because I have had my own personal experience on it, and that makes me want to ride it more and more to see if I see it again. I'm a strong believer in supernatural things. After I saw what looked like a guy in his teen years walking up the second lift hill right behind the train, then turn back around and it wasn't there anymore, I always try to see if I can see it again. That's why I think it is haunted. Cool experience! I personally think you would see a coaster enthusiast ghost hanging out there more than the ghost of the people who have died in the park. What would be better than having the park to yourself after everyone goes home, sounds like heaven to me!
  3. It is a great you can get a really good video of it on S & S's website here. http://www.s-spower.com/familythrill/elloco/elloco.php
  4. Well, they are 2 differnet animals. I prefer to ride DB right now, but that could be the different experience you get on DB that we have not had in the last 30 years. For memories and tradition, I choose Beast!
  5. Could be, but I would hate to get excited about a new ride and it be a new ice cream stand!
  6. Yes it is very nice on the admission. I was up there recently. Here is the Trip Report Link.
  7. We are 1.5 hours from IB. The closest park, but I agree as well 1/2 hour more and I can ride DB!
  8. This was posted to twitter a few hours ago.... HolidayWorldJust turned in my list of ideas for naming the new ... thing ... for 2010. We meet tomorrow to make a decision. Then the fun begins. #HW #fb
  9. I see your point, but for someone who lives 4.5 hours away from CP, and 3 hours from HW I would like to see some more variety from a local (Indiana) park, although KI is more local than HW for me. Indiana Beach has more variety of coasters, but not as good of quality in my opinion. Plus IB is a little land locked unless they moved their parking lot somewhere else and built in their current parking lot. They did take up some of their parking when they built Steel Hawg.
  10. It would be interesting to see if they would look B&M up for a steelie. What would even a small B&M (floorless/invert) cost these days? 8 mil? 10? I would love to see a B&M there as much as anyone, but when the time came to do a cost/benefit analysis I've always been curious to see how the numbers would lay out. We can always hold out hope, though! Yeah, I see what you are saying, but I am sure B&M could design a compact steelie that would not be to bad price wise. I would not see them going with a floorless/invert in their first steelie though.
  11. In light of the woodie poll, and seeing HW beating KI, I am wondering if you think they should go steel next or continue adding to their wood collection? List your thoughts and preferred manufacturer for the park! I would like to see them build a steel coaster by B&M.
  12. The only thing I have bought this year was the CF VIP jacket at RWW. I try to stay out of the shops as much as possible.
  13. I am glad to see someone put Cornball Express before Raven. I also feel the same. I was not all that impressed with Raven although I did vote for HW, for Voyage and Legend beats SOB and racer in my book.
  14. Hearse for Giga I presume! I voted for Advil roughness. If you are not willing to take a little pain and discomfort then you might as well stay over in Nick-U.
  15. Enjoyed the pics. Thanks for sharing.
  16. I think they are the same price at my local Meijer in Indy. (See screen name.)
  17. I thought it has been a little weak since its repair. I still really enjoy the ride.
  18. Enjoyed reading your TR as always. Glad you had fun in the heat. You did not mention sunscreen this time. I am guessing you had that covered?
  19. Voyage seemed to cool me off pretty well.. so I just HAD to keep riding it. Sounds like the perfect excuse to marathon the ride to me!!
  20. Never let anyone change who you are! I noticed that about HW as well when I was there, they are on top of their game when it comes to their attire rules!
  21. Glad you girls had fun!! I know you don't slown down at a park Angie, but be careful in that heat!
  22. I can answer this one for ya. It's Apostolic/Pentecostal. I wear skirts only, and yeah most of the time..they are ankle length. I wear longer lengths when I'm there with the kids and know I'm not going to be riding much of anything that requires the middle seatbelt. On days I know I'm going to be riding Delirium, Drop Tower, DB, Slingshot, etc., I wear a skirt that is just past my knees. Decent enough for rides and my religious beliefs. Oh and a funny tidbit of info regarding ankle length..it's not required we wear them that long..basically as long as the knee is covered, you are ok...but most of the time, they are worn that long because well..... we haven't shaved that day or didn't have time to. And you can thank me for that mental image next time you see one dragging the ground heheh Now there is a good answer to my question. I did not think about the religious reasons, but you do have an alterative when you want to ride those rides that requires a different attire! Going back to the skirts, I was refering to ones you see that are painted on and wearing high heels like they were heading to the club, not an amusment park. That is not pratical (At least I would not think so.) I was not refering to a loose fitting skirt to keep cool and being consious when entering a ride while wearing one. Please accept my appoligies if my previous post offended anyone.
  23. I want to know what is up with a woman, girl sometimes, wearing a short dress or skirt with high heels to KI. I seem to see at least one each time I go. I take it they are not walking very far and not ridding many rides? I also don't get the longer skirts either. If you have a jean skirt down to your ankles how do you get on some of those rides? Example: DB, Delirium, Invertigo, DT. Indyguy wondering, for he never seems these people getting on one of these rides. Could that be my answer? EDIT: Post 500!
  24. Going with the Batman movie names, I think The Dark Beast would work well!
  25. I don't think you can be an enthusiast and not love the Voyage. That goes for those that are more steel coaster fans. I am not partial either way, if it is a coaster I will ride it!!!
