Not yet, but it looked like they painted underneath white already, so I am sure it is coming.

Grain & Grill will not be open this weekend. I was not given a future date.

So I just got off the Red Racer. It has now had the rest of its tracked completely. Overhauled. That is the best ride on that I have ever had on The Racer. You can tell the track is still a little stiff, but as soon as it wears in a little bit, holy cow. Post your thoughts below when you have a chance to ride it.

2023 is shaping up to be another exciting year for the culinary offerings at Kings Island. This year we have a new executive chef named Joseph Perez. Click here for details. We have the new Grain and Grill on International street. Grain and Grill will offer Eastern European and Mediterranean flavors including grilled and rotisserie meats like Moroccan Chicken, Glazed Pork Shoulder, Shrimp Skewers, and fresh seasonal sides. Then, announced last year the old Hanks will become Enrique’s. Click here for details. Over the past 10 years Kings Island has put a lot of effort into increasing the quality and variety of food choices at the park. KICentral is excited to hear what its members experience and feel about the food offerings at Kings Island this year. We will use this thread to keep each other up to date on new offerings and reviews of your culinary experiences at Kings Island. Don't forget to include those sweet treat reviews as well.

Please use this thread to update wait times for the 2023 season! Please remember a ride going down is normal and it's okay to report, but please don't post "Riders are stuck on the lift hill of DB." A vague statement like that is not helpful and that is when the media starts calling the park. We can not wait to get the season underway by experiencing Adventure Port, Grain & Grill, the new executive chef Joseph Perez's culinary takes, the new paint on Diamondback and whatever we discover in 2023! The KIC Admin looks forward to seeing everyone at the park on Season Pass holder day and opening day next week. The KIC Admin Team

Cedar Point NEW FOR 2023 LIVE VIDEO LINK!
IndyGuy4KI replied to RedSummit20's topic in Other Amusement Parks & Industry News
The coaster makes perfect sense to me. It is in the new boardwalk section. It's another kid friendly option for families. It is one of the more needed attractions missing in their lineup. Heck one of my favorite coasters at SFSTL is Pandemonium a family coaster. -
Technically he is the head chef over KI and other parks. With that info, I would think anything that Chef Perez creates would be ok'ed first by Chef Major.

New Executive Chef Joseph Perez will lead Kings Island’s culinary experiences at Kings Island. He previously served as the Executive Chef at Ameristar Casino and Hotel in Kansas City, Missouri. “I’m excited to join the talented Food and Beverage team here at Kings Island and looking forward to helping the park continue to grow its menu options with fresh, locally sourced items,” Perez said. “I want families and friends visiting the park to be able to gather together around a table, have an excellent dining experience, and make lasting Kings Island memories.” Mike Koontz, Kings Island vice president, and general manager state “Our guests continue to tell us that the park’s culinary offering is such an important part of their visit to Kings Island. Our reputation as a place where they can come together and enjoy unique food offerings and traditional amusement park favorites is in good hands with Chef Perez.” The park’s previous Executive Chef, James Major, will continue to be involved in Kings Island’s food and beverage program in his new role as a regional chef for the park’s parent company, Cedar Fair Entertainment, where he’ll oversee multiple parks. Kings Island also adds Grain & Grill to the park’s restaurant lineup for the 2023 season. The new fast-casual dining location will feature Eastern European and Mediterranean flavors. Fresh, healthier options will include grilled and rotisserie meats like Moroccan Chicken, Glazed Pork Shoulder, Shrimp Skewers, and fresh seasonal sides. Select menu items will be included in the park’s dining plans. KICentral and its members are excited to see the new tastes Chef Joseph Perez brings to the park. Adding Grain & Grill adds more value to the meal plans. This new location will also allow Chef Perez to expand his talents with the Kings Island culinary team. Located on International Street next to Starbucks®, Grain & Grill will feature indoor dining with views of the Royal Fountain. The restaurant will open in the Spring. Additional discussions about the additions can be found here: https://kicentral.com/forums/index.php?/topic/46118-grain-and-grill-new-for-2023

We are in the "on" time.

What about the MACK trains like on Copperhead Strike?
-
Very true, to go with that novelty experience, the best place at KI for one would be Rivertown. That is a stretch, for I am not really sure how well you can tie that into a river either.

I never thought of having the station there and immediately turning around and coming back the other way. I like it!

2023 GOLD, PLAT, PRESTIGE PASS PREVIEW DAY
IndyGuy4KI replied to RedSummit20's topic in Kings Island
As @BoddaH1994 stated. The KI News forums are what we use to populate official news sent to us by the park, or news that we are 100% certain to be factual. This allows the site to have a 100% news forum that contains the official news releases in one place and also updates the front page of the main site. Then the admin makes a determination based on a few criteria about what to do with existing threads. Has the old thread run its course leading to the news release, the value of keeping multiple threads, and how on or off-topic the other thread may be once official news is releaed. Then we decide to either lock or keep multiple threads going.
