  1. After Paramount announced the end of Winterfest after its 2005 season, Kings Island Central members have been home to some of the most passionate and vocal Kings Island fans for the return of Winterfest. Once Cedar Fair purchased Kings Island from Paramount, there was hope that Cedar Fair would revive the holiday tradition. In 2017 that dream became a reality as Cedar Fair resurrected the event and boy did they deliver. It came back better than ever and in just two seasons became a top-rated holiday event across the industry. There was no Winterfest in 2020 due to Covid, but returned in 2021. In 2022 Winterfest will start its 5th season! Over the past week, Kings Island has been taking advantage of the nice weather to get the 364-acre amusement park ready for the 2022 WinterFest. The annual holiday tradition features more than five million lights, ice skating on the famous Royal Fountain, the 314 ft. tall Eiffel Tower transformed into a Christmas tree, select rides, and live shows. WinterFest opens in just 16 days, the day after Thanksgiving. For more information, go to Kings Island’s website, visitkingsisland.com. 2021 Winterfest Watch the Winterfest page on KIC and the forums to know the latest info on this winter event! See the Kings Island Website for tickets and additional info.
  2. We have a picture on our gallery page: https://kicentral.com/photos/restaurants-and-food#6680 Also in that same gallery from 2005.
  3. When most look back, they all come to this reality. Welcome to the support forum!
  4. Maybe I am just old school, but if a coaster needs VR, then they need to call RMC or just take it out. A coaster should be able to give its own entertainment without having to blind you with a phone screen in front of your face.
  5. CF seems to have abandoned the idea, does anyone know if SIX is still using VR on any of their coasters?
  6. That would be a good update for AE! #whatsinthetunnel
  7. Did you see our page and photo gallery? https://kicentral.com/parkhistory/past-attractions/enchanted-voyage/
  8. Sure wish there was a pre-built option. I don't have the patience for the really small ones, much less a 2' model. How about a Home Depot builder add-on?
  9. Not if it was approved with an admin first.
  10. Sure, but I am not feeling lucky for you with that bet.
  11. Right now it is hosting a wax museum with a host named Madame Fatale.
  12. In Feb. 2020 (2 weeks before they shut down for covid) we flew into Long Beach and that worked really well for us.
  13. I don't think CF is going to budge from its position at this point.
  14. That is my son. I was slowing him down on our way to the next ride.
  15. As we get closer to the end of Haunt and into the holiday season, I wanted to start a thread for construction updates. On 10/23/22 I took several pics of the area to get a pre-Adventure Port snapshot of the area. You will find it in our galleries called: Adventure Port Pre-Construction. Bellow is that gallery. Please use this thread to post your construction pictures and updates as we finish up the 2022 season and look forward to Kings Island in 2023!
  16. Kings Island's 50th-anniversary regular season is now over. Let's remember this 50th with a new photo contest by submitting pictures of your best photos from 2022. "Kings Island 50th Anniversary Photo Contest" Rules: Only 1 picture per post. (If there is more than one, the whole post will be removed.) The pictures should only be from the 50th season. A max of 4 submissions. (Any additional submissions after will be removed.) All photos must be your own. (No pictures from websites or any other sources.) All photos must abide by the Terms of Service and all park rules (for example, any pictures taken as a result of trespassing or any that are taken on rides that prohibit photography/lose articles will not be accepted and will be removed and possible loss of posting privileges.) To make it fairer, please do not post pictures from areas that only employees can get to. (Tour locations like Coasterstock are fine.) Small edits on pictures are fine, but nothing over the top, please. Double posting will be excused in this thread. Only Likes will be counted, not any other emotion. The most important rule: HAVE FUN! The contest will be judged by the members. So if you love a submission, vote for it with a like. You can vote on as many as you want. This will run until November 7th at Midnight. The winner will get to order a free KIC shirt as their prize, their photo used on KIC social media, and bragging rights! Good luck!
  17. I made the assumption we are getting the 48 when I made the new page for the ride last week. I hope we are all correct. https://kicentral.com/rides/sol-spin/
  18. Yes, or the sales booths under Invertigo as you walk in from the metal detectors. Welcome to KIC!
