  1. Going back to Hits/Misses Hits: Diamondback- IMO better than the B&M Hyper at another CF park in Canada. The Beast-The only ride that I can ride during Halloween Haunt when it's freezing cold outside as the park is closing and want to ride it over and over again. (DB I have rode in all weather conditions and Beast outranks it on Halloween Haunt nights) Live Entertainment- Seeing the park add more shows since CF took over has been a wonderful thing. I have heard multiple people speak about how much better the park is by having more than 2 shows. Halloween Haunt- Plain and simple...I love it, love the atmosphere, love the people who go, love the FOG, etc. Planet Snoopy- Seeing the transformation during the Off Season last year first hand was amazing!! The park did a great job promoting, being transparent with what was happening and the quality of the area has greatly improved! Train Tour- I wasn't able to attend any of these this season but I think that it brought a new feel for the park. A feel that the park was willing to show what happens behind scenes, how the trains operate, etc. Announcement of WindSeeker- Yes it hasn't been officially built and in operation yet, but WS has brought much needed attention to Coney Mall. Marketing for the pay to ride attractions (especially Slingshot and Skyflyer) has improved. The park has kept the prices down for these attractions longer, so they are getting more people to ride. Starlight Spectacular- Beautiful Final one, I'm gonna say it you may think I'm crazy but Half Pint Brawlers- Made Halloween Haunt a huge success this season. How often do we see a show in the Festhaus standing room only? Each night, Festhaus was packed! The crowds enjoyed it. It got those of us here on KIC to talk about it, it brought converstation about the park up. I believe that it also helped increase attendance for Halloween Haunt. Misses: Park Areas lost their feel. (This may come back, who knows) But Rivertown doesn't really feel like Rivertown anymore, Oktoberfest doesn't feel like it anymore, etc. Ride Theminig. If CF decided to keep the props on AE first tunnel why aren't they working anymore? (I don't want to start a debate about this because we've talked about it before) The Crypt, why couldn't we keep the lighting effects, water effects, etc. when KD's TR:TR turned into the Crypt they kept theirs? Son of Beast- Great Idea but with the mass amount of downtime and SBNO waste of money. We could have had something better with less law suits! Expensive food- I know that the park has to make money, but come on $15 for chicken tenders/fries/soda is a bit extreme. Expansion of Coney Mall into X-Base. Yes, the area looks cool, but these rides often have wait times that are too unbearable. Firehawk is down a lot of the times I go to ride well it as well as the line is often 2 hours. Removal of Antique Cars- While I'm happy that IJ/BLSC is at the park, the placement is terrible as many have said. Any CP trip that I take I have to ride the Tiques! The picture takers at the entrance of the park--while I know this generates revenue for the park, it's quite annoying....would be better if they weren't right as you exit the gate area. Vortex restraints....I hate OTSR on this ride.....they're very uncomfortable and the ride would be able to run with lap bars. Invertigo- Lives to it's name....I always get a headache on this coaster and I know many people that do as well. Final one- Quality of the parking lot. It needs resurfaced and traffic pattern needs to be more apparent.
  2. Yeah, Spongebob is great....I'm ready for a new movie. I think its long over due and previous movies that were housed in AT didn't stay as long as Spongebob has. I stopped going to see Spongebob this past season because I've watched it multiple times every season since it opened in 2003. Of course AT isn't the average thrill seeker's ultimate ride. Wouldn't that be a site to see.....constant regulars in line for AT, running around from the exit to the entrance for a re-ride.
  3. The reason the park stated that was Tanya asked on that link if the park was removing any rides for WindSeeker.
  4. Simply was stating that AT was not going to be removed. Which would be a big change, as the OP asked in part of their question. Highly doubt that the park would remove AT for a restroom.....since there are already restrooms at that end of Coney Mall. But yes, these are the things we must point out, maybe AT will be removed for a sit down restaurant...hmm? I'd agree it was kind of standard business to fan jargin.
  5. Kings Island has also made a comment on their facebook on post, replying to a user comment saying
  6. Well look at it this way, it's cold out, there's snow on the ground would you want to be out installing webcams? There may be several already up, however they may need to be fixed, they may need to be cleaned (let's face it outside they get dirty), they may need focused, they may not have someone available to write the code to actually put them on the site at this time, etc. There could be several reasons why they are not up. Like Indyguy4KI said, call the park to get more information....they have more information that some of us here do. The park may not give you information, the park is very tight lipped about some projects so don't get mad if they don't share, because they may not know at this point still or they may still be working out details.
  7. Will they be getting the KI Dippin' Dots guy as well? Just had to! I think this will be good for HW.
  8. Thank you so much for posting this! The Columbus Zoo is my home zoo! I love it so much! I haven't had a chance to make it up for the Wildlights yet, but I'm looking forward to heading there soon because of your PTR. Love the pictures!
  9. Wow! Thanks for posting those pictures!
  10. Glee has also mentioned Westerville, Ohio in which there is no all boys school...they've made the school on a sound stage....so I don't know if they'd come to KI....yes it'd be amazing, don't get me wrong...but in all reality, I'm really doubting it.
  11. mm spaghetti! I saw this picture a long time ago! It always intrigued me. I didn't know it didn't have a MCBR. Awesome paint scheme! Where is this coaster located? The only time I've ever seen anything in our spaghetti bowl was random parts by the walls and paint.
  12. The supports are still the faded gray, however the track itself is is a lighter and more apparent gray, looks more defined. I would say the gray is like the laptop color.
  13. A pic I took with my phone of Flight Deck: Cell phone pic so not the best.....but it looks nice! I'm happy with it! I take back anything I said negative about the scheme!
  14. ^^ What importance are you talking about? By the way, welcome to KIC
  15. Welcome to KIC Son of Beast214 They aren't going to open it for 2011, just won't happen. I'm guessing a reason that they wouldn't open it then close it when they want to change it is because of the cost, liability, and many other factors. Not to mention, people would grumble even more, "The park opened SOB for 2011 and then they closed it the next year to do ___ to it." It wouldn't sit well with the public.
  16. WOW! Thank you soo much for posting about your vacation! I'm looking forward to more! The pictures and videos were wonderful as well as the stories! I'm glad that Miss Rae decided to ride Scorpion! Next time you go on vacation can I be a part of your family?!? Again, Thanks!!
  17. brings a whole new meaning to the ride name "Tower Hacker". I do hope that she is alright!
  18. Firehawkboy, mods are the only ones that can stop a thread. I'm pretty sure that The Vortex is sinking roughly by .0000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000009 cm. Haha! As Hank said, make sure you search a bit before you post a topic that is like this, and should typically search before any topic..but certainly on rumors...no need to have 2340 Vortex sinking rumor topics.
  19. Ronny, just looked at your portfolio after you posted it on one of the topics! Holy cow! That's amazing! I love following you on Queen City Discovery as well! Keep up the good work!

  20. ^^ I agree! I see it all for the better!
  21. Sometimes guests do need to hear "No". If an employee tells a guest No it's probably for good cause....and if they do they need to do it in a nice manor. Some do, some don't.
  22. For Kings Island I think that the park is in better shape than it was when Paramount owned it. I do like the fact that the park is more uniformed. The addition of rides has been a plus.
