At Universal they do this on most rides. I would think if the picture is digital it should be fairly easy to do. You can do it on your computer at home as well, so the software is available for free.

At Islands of Adventure they too had free style machines, and for 85 cents you could refill your souvenir cup.... -
Disney World vs Universal
shark6495 replied to shark6495's topic in Other Amusement Parks & Industry News
So the decision has been made and the trip is booked. We leave tomorrow for 4 days in Orlando. Monday we will be at Universal and Tuesday at IoA. We have lunch reservations for Mythos and we got our fast passes to make sure we are able to hit every ride in the park.... so excited a TR will be coming sometime when we get back.... Thanks for all of the help KICers -
to think people pay money to break a law.... haha it is against the law to deface currency... saying that, the pennies are nice and cheap memories for families and kids

Man oh Man! How many people have worked in food service in here? Yes it seems easy, your order was simple. But on the other side of the counter, there may be a fan. Its loud. its hot. The person may have been working for 6 hours straight taking orders. All of a sudden the simple order is nothing but. Sometimes a person is bad at their job, sometimes its just a bad mixture. AKA good try today come back tomorrow and do better! Maybe she was normally a food prep person and the cashier was sick/called off. She had to step up because she "knew" the register. Doesnt mean shes good at it just knows what she is doing... Things, I will also complain about at a restaurant: Dirty Bathrooms (clean bathrooms usually means clear restaurant), cold food, rude service. Other than, some things can be over looked. But really getting upset at people who may never have had a job before is stupid. People go to KI to get a job (sometimes their first job). I dont expect Suzy (16yrs old) with her first job to be as good at Susan (24) working for 8 years... Man oh Man....

I believe that Spacely's has no longer been servicing KI since sometime in 05/06.... I now believe that all gears are being run through the Wah Wah Wah Factory and the great GM Woodstock.... They bought out Cogswell

I'd not suggest you walk up to the people who got broken bones on the ride, one of whom got a judgment against the park after a multi-day jury trial, and tell them they are sissies. By the way, the park's General Manager was not happy with the ride experience. Does that make him a sissy, too? The park just announced a very difficult business decision, with many, varied factors to be considered. I'm sure the annoyance of people like you was one of the factors considered, but it was far outweighed by guest safety, comfort, maintenance costs, reliability, liability, and a host of other factors. It is what it is. nobody got broken bones on the SOB.? my god it isn't that bad. Really? In addition to the broken sternums in July 2006, there were at least two earlier reported incidents of broken necks and many others of other broken bones. Sissies? i really enjoy the ride. people should take warning that the ride is rough before they get on, or if they have prior medical issues. that sucks people were injured, but have you ever been on the ride.? it's not bad at all. even after the loop was removed. i loved it. & its very special to people who to go Kings Island on a regular basis & ride big rides. people in ohio were THRILLED when this roller coaster was unveiled, it broke so many records. this will always be my favorite ride. & how dare you call me "annoying" for sticking up for what i believe in, & something that i enjoy. & if you don't like that i speak my mind on here, don't look at my post. I am pretty sure that many who post on here were on SOB. Even many during the media day. Next time you want to match wits with someone you may not want to go after a senior member on this board. There is a fine line between healthy discussion and just pure sillyness. You, my friend, have easily cruised past that line into plain sillyness. Many people were thrilled when it opened and then were saddened months/moments/years later. Remember CF is not ruining KI, they are doing what they can to make it better/safer/more enjoyable for everyone.

Thank you for that!

Not calling anyone out in particular... But I am reading some things on here that do not make me feel so good. May I ask everyone, why does it matter what someone thinks of you? If you wear a red shirt, no one will think you are "gay" or "straight." And those who do judge people are not worth knowing anyways. Seriously, it does not matter what shirt you wear, there is no "color" that will make people think oh he's straight. And even if red was still the "color" would it stop you from standing next to a person or riding with that person? What I am saying is this "Dont care/dont worry about shirt colors." Just this line of conversation has really upset me. And its not just anyone, so please dont take offense to this. I know many are young and dont know better on here, but words like "I hope he doesnt think Im gay" are very detrimental to many people and can be construed to imply something you believe in. If you are worried about being "hit on," by another guy or gal, dont worry about it. If it happens, just say thanks but Im sorry, Im straight. Dont get blown over board. And more than likely, the odds of someone picking up anyone at the park (straight/bi/gay/lesbian) are not very high. Be Cool KIC

Makes you wonder if they had just banked the turns on The Bat, how different that part of the park would have been. Vortex would not have been built because The Bat would not have been taken down (at least not that that time). If The Bat was still around in the late 80s to early 90s would Flight Deck have been built? Would Bat have made it for 30 years or would it have eventually gone the way of Big Bad Wolf.....

makes sense, dont pay down low interest debt, instead use it to help make you money in the long run.... -
the Lien style restaurant does not sound like too much fun... Lien: the legal claim of one person upon the property of another person to secure the payment of a debt or the satisfaction of an obligation. You walk in, sign some papers, get high interest rates and your burger is foreclosed on before you leave...

^^ reminds me of the scene in Jurassic Park where Ian Malcolm states that "Yeah, but your scientists were so preoccupied with whether they could that they didn't stop to think if they should." Just because you can build a 300+ foot tall swing set or a ride that can go 150 MPH, does that mean you should do this? -
Is this why they build The Beast in the 70s with those brakes added shortly after? Does this ruin your ride on The Beast?
-
Your right, it isn't actually goth I actually don't know what to call it I added that too. Regardless she wasn't portraying the same wholesome image that Disney has their employees portray. Even if she was neither one of them should've been allowed into any of the Disney parks dressed like that. While I truly believe they likely didn't have any cruel intentions, what would stop someone that did. I mean what if Sandusky had went to Disney World dressed as a character and taken advantage of such a position? It would not only be Sandusky in trouble then but also Disney for allowing someone dressed as one of their characters. I too agree that I dont think she had any cruel intentions with her costume design, and I will just say that..... but yeah it makes sense why Disney does not allow people to dress like characters...

Universal Orlando to build 1,800-room hotel

And I think it works for Orlando. Seasonal parks offer the thrill rides for thrill seekers. Orlando really hits that niche that people want. -

She didnt claim she had a busted blood vessel, she did have a busted blood vessel. As previously stated, just because this incident happened, did not mean its the reason it closed. See the very first post. Well since the park settled out of court, I would assume (just my own opinion) that she did have medical records. Because if she didnt, the case would have been thrown out of court.... My personal view of SOB? I really enjoyed it when it had the loop. The cars were a bit uncomfortable (I didnt like the trapping of my feet), the lift hill was very loud, and I was confused about pictures being taken before the first lift (I would have assumed it was on the first drop or even before/after the loop. But I did enjoy the ride in its first version. The first hill was one of the scariest moments I have had on a ride. It was fast (riding in the front seat was crazy!). The final turn before the loop was always exciting because if I remember correctly, it slowed down just a bit? But then the loop was great. The second Helix was better than the first. But it was a good ride. But after the loop was removed it just felt like it was rougher to me (later I found out that the trains were changed). After the removal of the loop the ride felt like it bounced side to side more. It was just not as enjoyable from that moment on. It actually was a ride I would skip because of the poor ride.
