  1. Well, that would explain the DIVErsion...
  2. If that's the case, if and when you do find out, don't ruin the fun for the rest of us!
  3. That screen shot is so pretty and colorful looks like an animation! Edit: Blegh, next-paged.
  4. Lady at Reds HOF Grille: "So where is the buffet?" Employee at desk: "I'm sorry ma'am there is no longer a buffet." Lady: "Is there still an all-you can eat option?"
  5. The only reason I would say they probably couldn't do that is because of how high-tech and in-depth the Luminosity area is. It really is more than just a stage, it's an entire midway dedicated to the show. I don't think Kings Island has something like this, but it could be done with some money and some changes.
  6. I would say that's probably a no, but I may be wrong. I think you may be looking into it a little bit too much.
  7. I think I saw you on AE around 930- I some chick with a penguin!
  8. The pulled pork is very good, and everything else seemed delicious as well. I think that place has become a staple in my trips to KI, as long as there isn't a long wait.
  9. I did see a few of you guys around today, just never did say "hi." And the Dodgem circuit when the kid was a little red-eyed was my first ride of the year- I was kind of excited! In terms of Reds HOF Grille, I understand that there was stress and it was a new thing for a lot of them, and I am not one to complain about hardly anything ever, but it was so bad today. I cannot remember ever having issues with service to that extent in any restaurant, inside or outside of a park. I loved the restaurant and will be back, and I'm confident today was the bottom and it gets better from here!
  10. Made a kid cry on Dodgem, which has new straps, but seemingly moved very slow. Racer's new wood helped, and the new dino looked huge from the ride. Also, we could see the WindSeeker cage behind the ride. Bier Garten looks really good. Some children ABSOLUTELY NEED supervision while in the park. Adventure Express gave a great view of the topography of the land where SOB once stood. Fun after dark, as always. The TV's in Festhaus had ESPN on, which made me happy! The new show, Rock 'n Roll Never Forgets, has very good performers. I was at the 1:30 show, and the TV's did go out about halfway through the performance. The lights were cool, and the Michael Jackson tribute was phenomenal. Flight Deck has no seat belts this year, just OTSRs! Also, was the pre-ride audio new this year? The area were SOB once stood looks like a place that will be fun to keep an eye on this year! Reds HOF Grille was delicious and was a beautiful atmosphere. The porch has a great view of the splashdown as well. Unfortunately, the service was awful at best. I understand that it was the first day, but the people at the front were rude, our orders were messed up, my silverware wasn't clean, and the checks were wrong. Our server asked me, "Are you finished with that so I can take your plate?" when I was not done eating yet. Also, a plate was delivered to our table that was for somebody else. The service was a wreck, but I assume it will get better with time. I will be back, just because the food was so darn good. I recommend the pulled pork! Beast was really smooth. It may be from the re-tracking, reduced trims, because it is early in the season, or because we weren't on a wheel seat, but it was smoother than I can ever remember it. I found pink on me even though I didn't race today. It was everywhere in the park, but it came right off with some scrubbing! I sat on my first handrail of the year today! Thanks for struggling through my jumble of thoughts! If you have any questions, just ask!
  11. I saw a report on Facebook that Flight Deck was also without seatbelts. I can't confirm that, though. EDIT: Also, I noticed an interesting change: most of the wait time signs are now individually themed to that specific ride. Diamondback was the only ride I saw with the old generic yellow wait time sign. Flight Deck did not have seat belts today!
  12. And by empty you mean full of blue, B&M, wing-rider goodness, right?
  13. I don't think Diamondback will be a 2 hour wait- that thing is a people eater. Even on Haunt Saturdays when the line is back by Rivertown Junc, err, Reds HOF Grille, it was only an hour and a half.
  14. I'm on the opposite end of the spectrum from you. My thought process is that if it's going to happen, it's going to happen- whether I like it or not. Yes, I would hate to see something like that happen at a place where the main goal is to be happy, but there is nothing we can do to stop it. Maybe that is just because I assume that people are generally good? I don't like to worry about things, especially in a situation like that, but I can definitely see where you are coming from. Plus if I die, I know where I'm going anyway
  15. Last year it poured until about 1, and then it was fine after that. Even if the weather isn't ideal, I will do everything in my power to be there! A trip to the park is long overdue, even if it is a Boo Blasters marathon!
  16. I never thought it could have been fake... haha I guess that makes sense
  17. http://screen.yahoo.com/guy-passes-twice-slingshot-ride-154000572.html I don't know if that's healthy or normal, but it was funny to watch!
  18. It said in the Pointcast that they have the slow wheels on right now and will switch them out later. I don't know how much of an increase in speed that will result in, but it will be going faster when the season starts. Also, I thought it was really cool how Gatekeeper looked when you are looking straight at Pinks. I wonder if they had that in mind when they chose the restaurant location?
  19. Don't forget to follow on Twitter, @KICentral, for us young ones out there
  20. I would recommend everybody to go at least once! It's like a whole new world!
  21. Oh the pizza was so good... I can't believe I forgot to say something about that. I had some literally every day. And I did visit Chinatown and check out the markets and stuff there as well! Unfortunately our group was not allowed to leave Manhattan, so I didn't get to see much else. But there is plenty to do on just the island, especially if you are new to it!
