This location does seem like a particularly bad fit for apartments, mainly for traffic reasons, even if that use is currently the most lucrative. If Kings Island opposes the rezoning, I'm sure that they will make their position known to the city. On the other hand, if this gets built, and KI still offers all-season dining plans, some residents might dine at the park every day during the summer. KI draws most of its workforce from the Cincinnati area, and many of its seasonal employees are minors, so large-scale employee housing is probably not likely.

Top 10 Ways Kings Island Shook Things Up in 2014

Especially Jonathan. We even named it after him. -
As far as I'm aware, no such event has been announced. Am I missing something? There will probably be a media preview for the International Street and Planet Snoopy additions, but I certainly wouldn't count on enthusiast invitations to that.

^ With either brand, you're getting tomato paste, vinegar, high fructose corn syrup, salt, and flavorings. The quality of the tomatoes and the content of the "flavoring" varies by brand and possibly by batch. A multi-billion dollar food brand goes to a lot of effort to achieve a consistent taste. You might not notice a difference between brands, but food companies work very hard to ensure that some do. Were I to taste both brands, I would be overwhelmed by the tanginess and sweetness of both - probably so much that I probably wouldn't notice any more subtle differences. I can't stand the stuff. If you're at a sit-down restaurant that uses an off-brand or house brand condiment, and you want the most popular brand, try asking for it. It's probably stocked for people like you. There are lots of us with food preferences outside the norm. Try going to a restaurant with a group from here.

Cedar Point's Good Time Theatre to be removed

One of the Cedar Point live webcams is now pointed in that direction: https://www.cedarpoint.com/online-fun/live-video-cam/camera-1 -
The last 1980 Kings Island home video I can make.

^ Most digital video you "buy" and store locally is locked into a particular DRM format. If the vendor goes out of business or changes their technology, you're left storing useless bits. I wonder if an iTunes digital video purchased in 2015 will be playable in 2045. -
Rumor: Gwazi to close in February

The Busch Gardens Africa name was short-lived; many would consider it forgotten. -
^^ Admission to the preview night was included as one of the perks for renewing in the fall. Other details, including the exact date and who else can get in, have yet to be announced. If they end up allowing all passholders in that night, I would fear very heavy crowds assuming halfway decent weather. Last season's passholder events were well-attended.

I have never viewed having to walk around the fountains as a problem.

Cedar Point's Good Time Theatre to be removed

Demolition has started. A picture from Jason McClure has been posted to Twitter: Source: Tony Clark via Twitter: https://twitter.com/TonyClarkCP/status/549971015540162561 -
^ In many cases, more than one party shares fault in an incident. In the examples you mentioned, OSHA would be going after any responsibility on the employer's part. An employee might make an error, but the work environment - as well as the employee's training and supervision - are generally responsibilities of the employer.

Blu-ray also had stronger copy protection than HD-DVD, attracting movie studios to the format. -
Sounds about right.

Please don't get me a roller coaster for Christmas. I don't have room for it, and I don't want the liability. If I have to get a roller coaster for Christmas, give me Big Dipper at Geauga Lake. Holding "rights" to it "forever" as it sits on someone else's property seems like a pretty good deal. Just as long as I'm not the liable party if someone or something is harmed.

CF Tech Strikes Again
malem replied to The Interpreter's topic in Other Amusement Parks & Industry News
Many factors can cause a poorly designed website to fail for certain subsets of users. The configuration of your iPhone might vary from popular settings. At a minimum, your list of trusted SSL roots is almost certainly different than Apple's default list. -

For what it's worth, the mobile store worked for me last season in Firefox on Android (without Flash). I can't say anything about its functionality on any particular iOS device, as I don't own any of those. If the mobile ticket store was broken on all iOS devices, I'd like to think that Accesso's QA department (and any Cedar Fair park manager with an iPhone, for that matter) would have noticed. -

^ Then it didn't work at all. iOS devices have never had Flash available. Flash has not been available to install on Android devices since 2012. The Accesso mobile ticket store has not required Flash, at least since it launched on Cedar Fair websites. -

The mobile stores have never required Flash, as substantially all mobile devices lack it. Flash is on a path to deprecation even on desktop browsers. The mobile websites themselves, outsourced to Accesso, still leave a lot to be desired. -

Cedar Fair parks' desktop websites are finally, at the end of 2014, using a version of the Accesso store that does not require Flash.
