As a student, I can tell you that my brain is FRIED towards the end of the school year, there's no way I would be able to do much more after that if it was so required. I need as much summer as I can in order to relax, work as a caddy at my local country club, make money for college, learn invaluable life skills that cannot be taught in school during said caddying job, and also hopefully earn a full college scholarship from caddying... And also, if there's anything I've learned over my career as a student, it's that it's not necessarily the amount of time spent inside the school building that correlates to how much you learn, it's what YOU make out of that time determines how much you learn. "God helps those who help themselves"...

Well for me personally, ALL of them are pretty tame, so I probably wouldn't have the best insight as to what mazes are most suitable for the faint of heart... But if I had to guess, the ones that are the "least scariest" for me are Urgent Scare, Tombstone Terror-Tory, and Delta Delta Die. The most well-done ones IMO this year so far have been Slaughter House, Cavern of Terror, and KillMart. And as a side note, I have to say Cornstalkers has improved from very recent years (since it has replaced Cemetery Drive). They actually somewhat brought the corn back into it. Instead of all of it being empty pathways adorned with walls of burlap, there is actually a wall made of cornstalks towards the end, just like the classic maze used to have... (Also, if you have a clown phobia, which some people do, then CarnEvil obviously would not be the maze for you.) Oh yeah and by the way, welcome to KIC!

From what I'm seeing I can pick out cars from SOB's Premier and Gerstlauer trains, as well as an old tram, a golf cart, a police car, another car, Blue's Clues dogs, some Patrick Stars, and a Spongebob... I wonder what those black things next to SOB cars are. And are those giant blue ducks off to the left?

To me, this area is as gray as whether to call coasters like Outlaw Run wood or steel...

yeah. I like them. They'll come back in style sometime. People thought inverts were dead but we got Banshee. People said flying coasters are dead but Japan announced a flying coaster. So probably a stand up will return. That's my opinion. The main reason the construction of inverts had come to a halt in the United States is because virtually all the parks that wanted and could afford them already had them. As for flying coasters, well, sort of the same deal I guess... Stand-ups have stopped being built mainly because I just don't think any parks that can afford them WANT them. And evidently, as confirmed by Cedar Point yesterday, it appears they don't even want theirs anymore... As for rides I would add, I think the very first thing I'd want is SOME sort of ejector-air machine, whether it be a Chance, an RMC, Mack, Gerstlauer etc. you name it. And no, it does not have to be designed by INTAMIN to provide ejector air (but I certainly wouldn't object)...

Now I'll actually be looking forward to riding this B&M as opposed to "Hey, if the rest of the park is crowded, I'll ride this just because it's a walk-on" type deal... Which is funny, considering that 4 years ago before I made my first trip to CP, since I had never ridden a stand-up before, I was greatly looking forward to it, more so than a lot of other rides... I thought to myself "Oh, standing up while riding a coaster, that just sounds wonderful!" until...I rode it. As soon as I got into my (bicycle) "seat", I instantly thought "You know, I'd actually rather just sit down". Afterwards I promptly thought "what a terrible idea, why would anyone want to stand up while riding a coaster?". It made me take for granted how valuable sitting down on coasters actually is, as opposed to...you know... Which is why I believe the stand-up coaster is the definition of a "fad". Sure some people genuinely do enjoy them, but for most people it sounds better than it actually is, and a flawed concept to begin with IMO... Rougarou should be an excellent and much-welcomed improvement!

Sometimes that is how I feel when I go to Kings Island, or at least some of those awful spiels make me feel... It's times like those when I just think "Cut the crap, I'm just here to ride rides"...

Considering all of the wonderful things I've heard about RMC coasters from people who have actually ridden them, I have a feeling that this technique is certainly not just a "fad", but will become a timeless popularity for years and years to come...

Considering I've only been around long enough to remember witnessing the park grow and develop probably from 2001 like and beyond... I really wouldn't have a fair say in this poll...

If only Kings Island currently had a crappy 'beater' wooden coaster that is insignificant to the park's history or excessively rough, (SOB would have been the latter) then I'd be completely in favor of RMC renovating one of KI's current woodies... But, that is not the case. You shouldn't EVER mess with two ACE Coaster Landmarks and a timeless classic popular among all ages.

For me personally, my in-park spending dropped to basically zero, but not because of the dining plan. Before that, I would pack a lunch and eat in the car or leave for Taco Bell. Banshee's requiring a locker for loose articles is what brought my spending to zero. I used to bring my souvenir cup and drink lots of soda. Now, when faced with the option of stow the cup in a locker at $2 (or more) per use, walk back to my car and put it there, or just get free water, I elected for water. Not having soda on the meal plan has also more or less eliminated my desire to drink soda at the park period. So, uh, thanks for not having bins on Banshee, Kings Island. You make the line move faster, make me spend less money, and keep me somewhat healthier To echo this post, I too feel like no bins on Banshee was for my own good, for the fact that it forced me to not bring my (small) Nike bag whenever I visit, and instead renovate my cargo pockets with safety pins so that they would actually HOLD things without falling out.... The main reason I ever brought my bag was not because I brought a ton of stuff with me (it never held more than what I could fit in my cargo pockets anyway), it was just because I was afraid of my stuff falling out. I knew the cargo shorts didn't have very secure pockets, but so then I adapted and evolved to completely external-article-less park-goer... Thank you Banshee for making me a more responsible member of society

What I meant was that "Quality over quantity" is a hackneyed cliche just when comparing Cedar Point's coaster lineup to Six Flags Magic Mountain's. People like to assume Cedar Points is better just because it has 16 and SFMM has 19. But even when you subtract the "gimmicky" ones from the lineup. Their lineups, although not easily comparable by individual coaster, have about the same firepower IMO. That's all I'm trying to say. I was not objecting to anything in the your original post that I quoted. I just wanted to put Magic Mountain in the discussion. That's all.
