This is totally unrealistic but it would funny if CF and SF teamed up as a company and renamed it "Cedar Flags" or maybe, "Six Fairs." lol

This year I was in line for my first ride on Diamondback. When we were in the final speed rails, a train stopped on the lift about 1/8 the way up. An employee came on the speakers and told a man to put out his cigarette! How stupid are some people. One time I was on the very front seat of AE. As I was going down the first dip out of the station the ride op hit the station brakes because some guy had his cellphone out and he had tell him to put it away. In result, I had cliffhanger experience for a few seconds!

I've been doing some extensive history research on Kings Island (since I wasn't alive yet during those days) and it seems like they've always been getting different and new owners... Taft Broadcasting 1972-1984 KECO 1984-1989 Carl Linder 1989-1992 Paramount 1993-2006 Cedar Fair 2007- present ???? ????-???? There has been a lot of talk of Cedar Fair maybe becoming bankrupt in the next few years. If this does happen does anybody have any idea on what active companies today that could possibly own Kings Island in the future? (I may have started a similar topic like this but it got closed.)

Your right, I guess I don't mind our generations fads that much. But coming from a teenager, what I HATE most about this generation is what kids do and say nowadays. Trying to be cool and/or funny by cussing, flipping the bird, replying to everything that goes wrong with, "that's retarded" or "that's gay". Ugh, I can't stand teenagers like this... I can't stand when people that I am with feel like they need to yell OMFG! (Using the real words) when we are on a ride. I feel embarrassed because it could be Adventure Express and Kids and Parents are behind us. Then they think I am an Idiot. I also hate it when in line for a ride and some parent will be cussing out their 10 or 11 year-old kid for one little unsignificant mistake they made. Sometimes I wanna say to the parent (but I don't), "Hey, your at an amusement park, just have fun! and don't ruin it for your kid by making them feel bad." I always feel really bad for these kids.

Don't forget, "that's what she said," sigh...

The good news is that that map will have biodegraded long, long before then. Or, if you less politically correct, the good news is that map will have rotted long before then. Not to mention the roof will also probably have been replaced...if it is still there at all. How is this is good news?

This is exactly why I was surprised that they were doing this. Never have I seen having assigned seating on woodies. Basically I thought because some people can't sit in certain seats without getting beat up real bad.

I'm as sure as an elephant, or whatever animal is, sure, I guess... BF389... who just made a horrible simile. :]

I was at the park today and I happened to notice that on The Beast they would tell you where to sit just like on Diamondback they would. I think this is a great thing! The line will move much faster now. Has anyone else seen this too?

With maybe adding a major ride in 2012 they could also add a burlap sack slide in Coney Mall! I would love that! Especially with knowing how fun the burlap sack slide at Coney Island is. I'm sure this wouldn't cost much. Would anybody else want this? Because I'm sure I would!

I get what you are saying, it makes sense to me. I guess I never really thought about how they changed the color of the trains. It was probably easier to paint them than to take them apart and re-assemble them by color, or maybe it matters which order the cars go in so they just couldn't do that. Not only do the the trains have a different color in stead of three different colors for one train, they took out the opening and closing doors that they use to have on them. I loved the doors. It was so fun to slam'em shut like you actually got into a car. Why did they have to remove these and add seat belts? Did the State of Ohio make them do that? Were they dangerous if someone accidentally put their in the shutting door? Was it an issue with how they fast unloading and loading the train was? (Which seems stupid since it take a lot less time to shut a door than fasten a seat belt) Anyone know of any reason they did this?

OFFICIAL! Son of Beast Will NOT Operate in 2010
BeastForever replied to BoddaH1994's topic in Kings Island
Your right! Believe it or not, this thread was supposed to be looking forward to the 2010 seaon and what it will offer. Even though the 2010 season is already more than halfway over, I'm just sayin'. http://www.KICentral.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=21000&st=0 -
That's not the topic! But you do have a good point about how at HH there will be death and gore and how about they warn you about HH and how it's not suitable for young children. BF389, who just made the worst run-on sentence ever!

OFFICIAL! Son of Beast Will NOT Operate in 2010
BeastForever replied to BoddaH1994's topic in Kings Island
Really? Because I for one for one has not. I hate seeing such a big ride just sitting there. I wish it would've opened because I only got to ride it once in early May 09'. I can't remember the full ride experience for some vague reason. Then again, probably the most reason I hate seeing SOB sit there is because of how anxious I am of what will goes in it's place...! -
I am really amazed at how off-topic these topics can get. Not that that's a bad thing. It just boggles my mind...

The kids don't necessarily see all the Haunt stuff during the day. Mostly they'll just cover up the really graphic, disturbing props during the day. But nobody will really care if they leave gravestones, jack-olanterns, and skelotons out during the day. Those props don't scare the living bajesus out of the childrean. They just add to the fun! And yes, I used the word "bajesus"

LOL I remember that commercial. I think I even commented on how the slogan didn't make sense. Honestly Diamondback isn't even a "scary" ride. Its just 5,282 feet of pure fun! Maybe it isn't scary to you, but I know people that are so terrified of heights they can't even use a ladder. I think 200 + feet in the air would be horrifying to them, lol. I agree, I took my mom on Diamondback the other day for the first time and she said that that was her last time. She really didn't like being that high in the air. The whole ride she had her eyes closed because of how high it was.

I thought about that too. Do they still have the trains or did they scrap'em? Anyway, I did happen to find a pic right after I started this topic:

If Kings Island could only keep one Coaster...
BeastForever replied to Adventure Express's topic in KI Polls
Yeah, The Racer would've been my second choice. -
A few years ago at FearFest I remember seeing cars from the old SOB trains near the front entrance in the grass areas. They had skelotons in them too. Anyone else remember this? I can't remember if it was either FearFest 06' or Fear Fest 07'. I thought this was a great prop! Maybe since they had skelotons in the trains maybe this explains why everyone thinks that people died on Son of Beast!

Escape Artist Hit by Roller Coaster.
BeastForever replied to coaster_junky's topic in Other Amusement Parks & Industry News
Just curious, what kind of coaster is that? Because the track on the right looks like inverted track and the track on the left looks like floorless or stand up coaster track. Or are they different coasters? -

OFFICIAL! Son of Beast Will NOT Operate in 2010
BeastForever replied to BoddaH1994's topic in Kings Island
I agree, kudos to Cedar Fair for not removing a ride to put Diamondback and Firehawk in. Who knows, maybe Paramount would've removed The Beast to put Diamondback in if they would've built Diamondback. That would be theeee most, epic theme park FAIL EVER!!!!!! Also, who knows if Paramount would've removed Flight of Fear to build Firehawk if they built Firehawk. That would also be an EXTREME EPIC theme park FAIL!!! -
I LOVE Halloween Haunt. The fog, the trails, the bitter cold, the wind chill of the rides, the feeling of it all. Nothing better. My favorite haunted trail is the TRAIL OF TERROR!!! any day of the week.
