Among the multitude of music Genres I love, Hard core rap and extreme Death Metal are at the top. Songs about sex and drugs don't bother me, lol. I have heard Lupe and he is OK, I was just (which I shouldn't) lumping it all together, 98% of the stuff you hear on radio or TV doesn't appeal to me. We all like what we like and vice versa. I just speak my mind and cannot always control what comes out. Those with thin skin (seems to be most of America any more) usually get upset and it snowballs.

Park has already said (via Facebook) that this years Haunt setup will be announced in August.

I have an idea but don't want to offend the sensitive types that enjoy the channel.

New at Holiday World for 2012
Dieseltech20 replied to Colonel_SoB_fan's topic in Other Amusement Parks & Industry News
Who am I to not take your word for it about others who tell you their opinion about HW. I own a small business and see numerous customers on a daily basis and I rarely ever hear a negative word about HW and never once have heard the word boredom used to describe their day at HW. Understand this is what many customers, family and friends tell me knowing my love for Kings Island, As one who has been to HW first hand and being much older than 10 with most family and friends above the age of 10 HW is a great place to visit for any age. I understand that some may not enjoy HW for their own reasons but I know tons of enthusiasts to include mainly coaster enthusiast who love HW and go out of there way to go there to include passing by KI. CodyDL many coaster enthusiasts enjoy visiting out of the way theme parks to experience for their-self and like traveling to do so, if you are in that category then I would suspect you will be glad you made the journey. I could name many theme/coaster enthusiast and fan club members who travel great distances to enjoy what HW has to offer and often return for another visit. Please understand every park including Disney has their cynical critics and you should understand who you get your reviews from if they are that important and if they have actually even been to HW. I would bet if you are at all tempted to travel that far to go to HW then you are a enthusiast at heart and will not be disappointed. I will give deference to those who say HW waterpark is a big part of their enjoyment factor but as one who enjoys water parks a lot Holiday Worlds waterpark has a great atmosphere to include live band performances. Let us know what you decide to do or should I say let us know how it was and if it was worth the trip. I know several who have traveled further and above age 10 who have enjoyed more than one visit. Have fun!!! Well said and +1 A trip to HW should be a must for everyone. I'm still smiling from my rides on The Voyage. -
Even if emptyvee played music I highly doubt I could stand any of it anyways. Much like these idiotic, IQ killing reality shows, modern music is the pits. One day the reality generation is gonna be in charge of this country. That thought is terrifying.
-
Same here.
-
It is so hard that I never put it on the channel in the first place. Never watched one second of any of those crap shows. Reality crap doesn't appeal to me in the slightest due to that horrible scripting and acting. As long as you enjoy the garbage though they will continue making it. MTV should be pulled from the airwaves and brought back under a new name since it has nothing to do with Music any more. It worked well for the channel formerly known as The Nashville Network.
-
Because it is. Let's glorify teen pregnancy so that others will want to be like them. The entire channel should be removed from the airwaves.

YES. Someone asked on Facebook if their supposed August announcement was gonna be a new ride. The park said the August announcement will be about the upcoming Haunt attractions.
-
Sorry, should have clarified that this was a direct response to a post asking if the announcement in August was going to be a new ride.
-
Well, this evening on their Facebook page the park said they are "announcing what's new for Haunt and Howl O Fest this fall."
-
Two times so far, one during the day and one at night.
-
Cool. Added to watch list.
-
I wouldn't I did for the longest time, then one day I noticed myself looking back at me, lol.

"My friend told me one of the seats came off and landed in Diamondback's pool" Random person explaining their reason for not wanting to ride WindSeeker.
-
Have not checked with my local store but have heard they are 25 at most Kroger stores. That info comes from people on the FB page though so it must be taken with a grain of salt.
-
The deal applied to a Kroger ticket my friend used last season. However he had to pay more than 59 because the Kroger ticket was only $25.

Nice report, thanks for sharing. We rode WS around new and it was very windy up there. The construction on 71N starts near KY Speedway and extends all the way to the merge with 75. For 71S it is the opposite, 75 to the Speedway. What they are doing varies but usually they have one lane closed on either side. They are now paving the entire width of 71 South. They appear to still have quite a bit of work to do and I know they were working on it has far back as March. The work is only being done on Sunday-Friday but we had a perfectly clear shot on Friday morning with no slow downs. However, Southbound traffic was backed up for miles. There is also work being done on 171/75North from 275 to the bridge that is being done on weekends and WOW, the traffic gets very backed up. Today on our way home it looks like they have been working on the southbound direction as well.

Kings Island's Biggest Hidden Secret
Dieseltech20 replied to BoddaH1994's topic in Kings Island Central Newsroom
It had some large crowds yesterday. We watched the last showing of Hot Summer Nights and it had a large audience as well. Including some higher ups watching crowd reactions. -
Nice weather plus the first weekend that WindSeeker is open. You chose a bad day to go. Yeah we chose a bad day (Friday was perfect though so we didn't mind) but it was because of Saturday being "UK Day" at the park. The ride for WS was one of the shortest the entire day, longest we ever saw was about equal with the entrance gate to Vortex. Everything else was packed. We rode DB at 10:15 and the line was still under the awning. I did have a lot of people ask if I had rode it yet and how it was. Lots of people are scared of getting sick on it. I can get sick on a Carousel but WS didn't bother me at all, so I told everyone to give it a try.
-
No kidding, it felt like the thing would blow over at any second, lol. I know that wouldn't happen but by nervous brain didn't want to hear any part of it.
-
Wow, they sure have negotiated one heck of an agreement.
-
They gave up early today because the entire lot is just about full. I'll never come on a Saturday again, lol. It's crazy.
