  1. As someone who has Asperger's myself, that sickens me. I would NEVER throw my condition around in an attempt to get things like that. And if he used it "a few times", then it paid for itself, so I fully side with the park on this one. If it had not been used at all, then I could see contacting the park to see if they would change it into a pass for next year or give a discount on a next year pass, but certainly not after it's been used in the current season.
  2. The only times I've ever waited more than two hours for anything were all rain delays where I was in line when the ride was shut down and elected to wait it out in the shelter of the station. 2 hours, 30 minutes on The Racer (though that was during Coasting for Kids, so probably doesn't count), 2:15 on Diamondback, and 2:00 flat on TTD, all in 2011. That's also the only way I would wait two hours for anything aside from the opening of a new ride.
  3. Take a closer look (emphasis added): He did reply, but mistakenly inserted his reply into the quote instead of placing it outside the quote. I've seen that mistake from time to time; usually if someone appears to have just quoted a previous post without adding something, you'll find an added reply buried in the quote itself.
  4. Great, nay, awesome report! Those are memories that will last a lifetime. Here's to many more days like that!

    The bat

I know it too! *shares the high five*
  6. I believe the tour we got at Coasting for Kids this year took about 40 to 45 minutes, and that went all the way back to the part furthest from the main park (the run from the second tunnel to the second lift hill).
  7. I rode it once. Last year. I was not impressed. Boring as hell, and I couldn't figure out the theme. I'm not sad at all, and am looking forward to the replacement.
  8. I've seen some cryptic posts from you before, but this takes the cake.
  9. Wiki still says SBNO and it has been that way for a while... There was a bit of a discussion on that, as the article on the SBNO term specified that it could include a coaster awaiting demolition but still standing. It has since been updated to say closed. (Note that only the "status" field in the box in the upper right of the article, known as the "infobox", was affected by this discussion. The prose of the article has correctly reflected the closure and pending demolition since a few minutes after the announcement.)
  10. that's what I'm thinking What's his daddy, then?
  11. I've got a way for them to save some money. Instead of paying people to tear the thing down and then paying more people to haul everything away, get enthusiasts to volunteer to dismantle it in return for being able to take the pieces they remove home as souvenirs. They would only need to hire a few supervisors to ensure everything is done safely.
  12. I don't know about submersion-proof, but the one time I used FL last year, it survived two rides on the log flume and one on WWC. If it's the same paper as the drink wristbands, though, then it is indeed waterproof.
  13. About #@$*(*& time. The Wikipedian in me is mostly surprised that the Son of Beast Wikipedia article hasn't been overrun with vandalism yet. It has been edited only six times in the two or so hours since the announcement, and all of those edits have been constructive edits (one was me adding an additional source).
  14. Glad to hear that Delirium is back open. Interesting that they did Drop Tower in place of Invertigo. Great report as usual!
  15. Sounds like it was a good day! Thanks for sharing!
  16. Well, if he wasn't dead before, he is now.
  17. What? I've used the Freestyle machine in the fudge shop twice with 20oz wristbands and had to pay each time. The FUN Perks voucher also clearly states that the wristband is not valid at Freestyle locations. Are you saying that Hank's does accept them? And if so, are they supposed to accept them?
  18. You can even append site:KICentral.com/forums to your search query to get only KIC forums results.
  19. Since when do race cars create huge waves of water? Even Formula One will stop the race if there's that much water on the track. Well Backlot Stunt Coaster used to have water. Although I have never seen The Italian Job (the movie that BLSC was originally themed to), I suspect that worked because there was a similar scene in the movie. Besides, you're comparing a small splash that you can create by driving through a large puddle on a rainy day to essentially a tidal wave. That's apples and oranges.

  21. The Crypt is long gone. It was demolished and removed before the season began. What sits there now is an empty box.
  22. ^ CP's new imagery was taken on May 18 of this year.
  23. Google's current satellite imagery was taken on July 1, 2010, so it's not real old.
  24. My opening day visit was added in late May or early June.
